Ok, everyone sounds like they are doing great! I saw something that I didn't like though, someone got discouraged because they didn't have as big a loss as everyone else. I think you did awesome! You lost right, every loss is a step closer to the goal! That is why we have each other here on this Team (aka. in this FAMILY!) We will be here for each other for the whole challenge! You can email me if you need someone to talk to and get encouragement I am all about that. If I did not have the support I do at work (The U.S. Navy, mind you) I would not have been able to lose over 80 pounds now. I will not be happy until I see triple digits though! Less than 20 pounds to go for that goal. We lean on each other, draw on each others strengths to help one another through each others weaknesses.
TEAM 3 WILL PREVAIL, AND WIN or LOSE WE ARE ALL WINNERS!!!!!!!!!

Papa's right, none of us should feel bad if we haven't lost as much as the others, that could lead to giving up, and that is what we must never do!
I agree with kjmadill, I've gotten to like the name Team Three, and would be happy to stick with that and our slogan - pride on three!

OK for the sake of disclosure- Weigh-in day I weighed 159.8 I know I was dehydrated because I worked out alot the day before and drank (alcohol) then I ate a massive amount of sodium the day of weigh in...yesterday my weight was way up......Today..161.8 (2 pounds up from weigh in) I think I am 2.4 pounds from 1 week ago.
I llifted weights yesterday...a lot for me...drank an adequate amount of water and did not overdo the sodium
So far since I started CC---4 weeks ago--I have lost 3 inches on my waist
I measured today because of the fluctuations
I feel guilty that my lowest weight was on weigh in day and was inaccurated due to dehydration
zenasavvy -- don't worry about it, that happens to everyone. If it's really eating you up you can always go edit your post with your current weight. Everyone has until tonight to weigh in anyways.

Hey do not hang your head, so you weighed in on a day you may have had some dehydration. You started a month ago and HAVE DROPPED THREE INCHES!!! That is awesome! Keep going and doing what your doing. You mentioned fluctuations, I can tell you about fluctuations, I spent almost 8 months bouncing between 282 and 288. I finally got fed up with it and kicked myself in the backside to get a move on, started watching the calories a little more strick than what I was, hit the gym harder than I have in a long long time, and now as you can see from my weigh-in I finally kicked the fluctions for now.

ONLY I CAN CHANGE THE WAY I LOOK, AND TODAY I START DOING JUST THAT!
Let me explain the use of today, yes, I am the only one that can change ME, but today the change in me helps my FAMILY (Team 3), and together we can lose all the weight we want working, supporting and encouraging each other!! You are all AWESOME lets keep moving!

but here is my addition zenasavvy:
Yes this may be a weight loss challenge. But those inches off mean that you are giving yourself a better life by building muscle and getting rid of fat. So while three inches may not seem like a big deal in terms of weight, three inches is going to help you live longer, be healthier, and ultimately be happier!
ok guys....I need to vent. So you remember that my bf and I are doing the south beach diet with my best friend and her bf? Well they have been on it for a week. She has lost 16 pounds and he has lost 10....in 1 week!!!! I know that is not good and you shouldn't lose that much at once but I am still bummed. What else gets me is that I am the only one out the four of us that is working out!!!

I just wanted to post and tell you guys a little about me.
My name is Blayne. I am 28 yrs old.
I came to this site on july 2nd (of Last Year, 2007), and since then have lost almost 100 lbs. (currently around 96 lbs. at this current point) I hit a BIG PLATEAU. I didnt lose anything for 2 months. So i decided to eat for a couple weeks more calories than i should have (to boost my metabolism and trick it into thinking i was going to keep eating more) and gained about 5 lbs. Then i started in again and began to lose weight again. So i hope that continues.
I've done this challenge twice before and won team challenge both times (i think) and won personally my first time out and came in 6th the last challenge. I am looking forward to seeing how well i can do this challenge but i know that this time around it's going to be a way bigger challenge than before.
I think for great motivation we should have a running tally of weight and weight loss in the beginning of the thread. I can set that up if you'd post it kjmadill. I think when everyone knows their losses and gains are really counted on by the team it makes them work harder.
