the shorties but wanna be thinnies club!
Hi! I'm hoping to start a shorties club, probably for women because mostly women are 4'11" - Idk maybe 5'4", it could vary a little i guess. Does anyone want to join? We shorty women (or I should say "petite") need to stick together, especially women who are older (because our metabolism sucks sometimes), but age could vary also, it doesn't matter. Just wondering if there is already a thread for this, been searching but haven't found one yet. Your starting weight could vary also, i'm not picky. Women just have alot harder time dropping the weight (i.e. monthly cycles, moods, water weight, you know...)

Starting Weight was: 121lbs (stubborn pounds)
My Height is: 5'0"
My age is: 38
My activity level is: Moderate (Light)
My Calorie Expenditure is: (around 1700- it varies with exercise)
My goal weight is: 110!
My goal date is: 8/30/07
My current weight: 6/3/07 is: 119!
What else? Oh and my daily calorie intake is between 1200-1400 (1600 on a bad day)
Anybody else want to join. I would love support and fellow chat members, kay? thanks!
P.S. I know that it only seems like I have a little to lose, but BELIEVE ME, those are the most stubborn last pounds to go!

I feel the same. All you former "biggies" 170+ send those before and after pictures. Even if your after isn't what you want yet. It's still a great inspiration to those of us with lots more to lose!
I have found that giving myself the goal of a new BMI # ( I've gone from 40+ to 38 - 13 lbs lost) is a great help. I printed out a list from the BMI calculator and made a chart from my starting BMI to my goal and get the fun of checking off the BMI #s as I go down getting healthier and healthier. I know, I need a bigger life if this thrills me- but it does!!!!

Trying to do 1200-1400 calories per day. Yesterday I ate 1650 calories mostly broccoli, yogurt and other healthy choices though. I am 43 yrs old soon to be 44. Looking for friends whereever I can find them.

Hello! I'm 5'3" 27 yrs and started at 210 (holy crap!!!) in February. I went down to 190 at the end of April and shot back up to 198. AAARRRGGGHHH!!! I'm so frustrated. I gotta get my cravings under control. Any ideas?

Ok, I just started yesterday. I have 150 lbs to loose. I am 5'4" and 29. Is there anyone out there in the same boat as me?
I think my biggest problem is that I eat way too much at night and hardly anything during the day. I'm just not hungry until 6 or later it seems. It was abnormal for me not to eat anything until 1 or 2 in the afternoon. I'm trying to break this, but it's hard. So if anyone has any advice I'd be greatful.
I also have a 6 and 3 year olds that I really want to be a role modle for. But exercise is hard, either they want to interupt or start fighting with each other and I have to go tend to them. IS there a video out there that they could maybe do with me, they like to be active so they would probably enjoy it.
Also, is there another group dedicated to people would have a hundred + lbs to loose?

Ok, a couple of years ago I was at my biggest (225lbs or so, I was afraid to get on the scale past that!!!!!!!) I'm 5'2", and my 26th birthday is in one week. I joined CC a few days ago and weighed 180lbs. I gained 45lbs over the fall/winter (started school, got lazy, too much starbucks and junk food!!!). I was steady at 150 for over 1 year. I think 130lbs is a very healthy, thin, reasonable weight for me, which seems so much MORE than most of you other short women!!! But when I was that small (throughout high school years I was around 110-115) and I was disgustingly skinny with huge boobs and I just looked ridiculous and not very healthy. I have a lot of muscle because I'm pretty active, so I think I'll feel fabulous at 130. Well I felt pretty fabulous at 150lbs but I could have been thinner. How can you post pictures on here?
In the last couple of months I've been more careful about portions and refined sugars again, and I"ve lost 2.5" off my waist, yay! I'd like to lose 30lbs by August when my boyfriend and I hike the west coast trail, which I think is pretty reasonable, because we're going to be killer active all summer. Even 20lbs will make a huge difference, since my pack will probably weigh at least 45lbs for that trip!

we have a great thread going here, so pop in again anytime. also, since the scale can be so deceiving, i thought a good idea would be for everyone to also focus more on inches lost. Are your clothes falling off? needing another notch tighter on those belts? that's what you want to look for.

Hips: 35 1/2 inches (down 1/2 inch)
Waist: 29 inches (down 1 1/2 inches!)
Bust: 35 inches (same)
Arm: 11 inches (same)

I am 113 today (down from 117 at the start of the month) but have dipped as low as 111 this week which is the first time in years I have seen that number. I think that was a fluke thing though as I didn't stay there more than a day. Though I now feel I am definitely broken through the 115 mark and am on my way solidly down. I haven't been above 115 in 10 days now so think it's a real drop. I am psyched for my next drop and to stabilize between 110-113. My next goal is 110 for July 20th.

i will join too. i am 5,2 and 3/4 and currently ( right now ) i am 117 but i haven't had supper yet. i want to be 120 i started at 129. i am 31 years old and am very active exercising and in trying to keep my house clean from my toddler. I think it;s impossible!!:(

I lost a pound! Im now 135! I know its not much but I was stuck between 136-138 forever! I hope its not a fluke.
I'm down a pound. I've been on a plateau since mid-March but in the past 2 weeks I've gone down 3.5 pounds. It's great to finally see the 130's. 139 to be exact but glad to finally see it!
113.4 today ... not going anywhere fast but it's my own fault. I have had an unpredictable last 4 days of food. Must get back into swing.
Hey Thinnies! How is everyone doing? How was the end of June! I hope the scales was nice to you. It was nice to me, but I tell you, I feel bloated and downright fat. I really need to workout more. Can someone give me good, easy ways to amp up my aerobic exercise? I am not in great shape so need something that won't kill me and is suitable for a short little apple like myself.
i feel SOOOOO bad for not posting this weekend. it's TTOM for me and i've been really feeling it! Hi nycgirl, how ya doing? i don't even look at the scale anymore, i think mine is possessed. it just doesn't want me to be happy. the best advice i can give you, is low impact aerobics, just start moving! once you are moving for about 5 minutes you'll start feeling warm and your blood will be pumping, you don't need alot of intense activity to get a good workout. just start moving and you will see, you will feel like moving for another 5 minutes. i usually just crank on the music, something fast and upbeat and go for it! the endurance will follow. you just need to get started.
i won't even mention my stats this weekend, i'll wait till next weekend. i feel like a water balloon right now :(
