What are some Very VERY VERY Low Calorie Snacks???

Quote  |  Reply
Sometimes I just want to eat something. I am sick of baby carrots. Is there anything I can eat as a snack and not worry about the calories. I just want to chew something, and I am not a fan of gum, it makes me very hungry. So please please please suggest something I can just snack on without too much counting involved :)

I take slices of Healthy Choice Honey Ham or Roast Turkey....then I spread a thin layer of French Onion Dip, and I roll them....I usually have 5 rolls or so....the Ham is about 45 calories for 5 pieces, and the dip is about 50 to 60 calories for a tablespoon, but a teaspoon is plenty to spread with.....lots of flavor...

I also use onion dip in my deviled eggs, just take 1 or 2 hard boiled eggs, empty out the yolks, mash the yolks with a teaspoon of onion dip a little bit of chives, and throw them back in.....its not as low calorie as munching on cucumber but it helps to satisfy....

I use a melon baller on my cantalope, place all the balls in a ziplock bag, throw them in the freezer, and munch them when I need a sweet snack....

I drink chicken broth or miso soup

I make salad dressing with rice vinegar and splenda....just a touch of sesame oil or chili oil.......and I dip tasteless vegetables in it

I throw chicken in a pot or slow cooker....cook it till its soft, then cover it in Buffalo wing sauce and trick myself into thinking Im eating Buffalo wings....

I prefer salty tastes as you can tell....
oohhhh just came up with a GREAT ONE.

half a cup of raspberries, half a cup of blueberries. A few tsps of Equal. Shake it all up in a bag or something, to sweeten the berries. Pour into a small bowl. Then a few squirts of Reddi-whip fat free whipped cream, and mix it all it. Enjoy! the whole thing is less than 100 calories! and it makes a delicious, sweet, fruity breakfast, oessert!

let me know what you think!

(my first post :) )

grapes are only like 2 calories.

so if you just count them out so you know how many cals you've got (just so you don't go crazy!!)

Also, slice them in half so they last longer =D
Mmm stormsrun that sounds to die for! Yum yum! Wow these are all great ideas.
Lots of great ideas in here!

One question -- I noticed some folks talking about not counting veggies.  I count all my veggies...
i count my veggies too! :) my favorite mindless munchie has to be 100 calorie popcorn. or a baggie of dried cereal. either way i log everything that i take in.  you all have a lot of great ideas tho :)

my favorite movie snacks:
- 100 calorie cheetos
- fruit leather! 45 calories a piece
- Sugar free dove chocolates: 35 calories a piece
- 100 calorie popcorn! yes i make it at home and bring it with me
- dumdum lollipops
- sugar free jolly ranchers
- suger free lifesavers
- sugar free worthers (sp)
- beef jerkey - high in salt but they make 100 calorie packs of em too!
:)
To whomever it was that mentioned the Gerber Graduates Puffs....

I was at Meijer last night, and thought, why not, I'll try them.  Got the apple cinnamon flavor, and I love them!  Just enough flavor to satisfy, just enough crunch (though they melt in your mouth easily, as they're for toddlers!) to satisfy, and 25 calories in 65 pieces.  At about the size of goldfish crackers, that's a lot less (I'm a goldfish nut, though I haven't had them in a while now, and 55 of those is 140 cals).  Not the most nutritious snack, but they're great when you feel the need to munch.

So, thanks!
my alltime favorite snack is a nice jucy tomato from the pack.

they taste good and are like 10-15 cals each (my personal fav not for all people lol)

Sugar Free Jello--only 10 calories per serving

Light n Fit nonfat yogurt (60 calories)

berries--especially raspberries

Sugarfree Fudgsicles

Beef Jerky

Veggies--jimcama, cherry tomatoes, asparagus, celery, etc
I like taking a large rice cake or popcorn cake, spread just a thin tad of butter over the top (best tasting butter is the smart balance!) and it is a grrrreeeaat low cal snack.

The Kallo thin rice cakes are only 19cals.  And with just a pea size ball of butter that is thinned out over the top, I would say it's less than 22 cals a cake.

Just eat it slow and savor each chew.  ticker-bell
If I have this right it should take you to Better Homes and Gardens 200 snacks under 100 calories.  Try this link:

Diet slushies!  Just blend together a fruity diet drink mix (Crystal Light, etc.) with ice and diet sprite.  You can sip/munch on it for a while and it's practically zero calories!
Yachtracer-

I am also mildly obsessed with the Gerber Graduates Puffs...so good (and low in cals) - my favorite flavor is Sweet Potato. Another yummy alternative is the 100 cal. hostess cupcakes (I am a chocolate freak - so would choose the chocolate cake with chocolate frosting).
Haha, I'm still creeped out by the suggestion someone made about eating "Crickets and other random bugs" as a snack...Anyone else catch that? I am very open minded, but I think I will skip that one :)

I'm a big fan of keeping a bag of plain cheerios at my desk at work to snack on. A serving is pretty big at a cup and has112 calories...They also some protein and fiber in it that keeps my hunger at bay for a while, especially when drinking lots of water with it! I love pears as well and grapefruits.
Fudgsicle sugar free fudge pops. Only 40 cals per pop and they taste AWESOME!
cardboard.

No calories, cheap, it will excersize your mandibles.

combat the munchies with self control, and get off the website. LOL that helps me.
SUGAR FREE Free ELLO! less than 5 cals

egg whites : 17 cals & GOOD PROTEIN

celergy is a free food! as is cumcumbers

id stick with the jello is u ever feel hungry.

but if u want things that taste a little better, 100 calorie packs

or even light & fight fat free yogurt (60 cals) - try and get one low in sugar
i meant light & fit yogurt woops spelling error
If you've ever read any of my posts--you know I am a supporter of 100 calorie packs--who says just cause we're trying to lose weight we can't eat normal food--in 2 months, I've lost 14 pounds and I eat a 100 calorie pack--usually chips and cookies---every day pretty much!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE these things!! They are perfectly portioned! :) Good luck!
Rabbit Luver you should try the hostess cupcakes 100 cal packs if you are looking for some variation...they come highly recommended =)
