| 140/130 club | ||

| Anyone in this grouping looking to drop from 140 to 130's. We can all use support. Today I am focusing on all the food groups. Exercise would be good, but I won't be able to since I am working from 9 to 10:30. A Super long day. I hope I can stay focused, when I pass the fast food chaines on my travels today. | ||

| yeah, that's where I got my most recent dvd's from. I like that place! I just like comments from people that I talk to a little more often than just reading one review :) I found the firm dvd I want in the catalog and might purchase it pretty soon. Maybe Monday... we'll see! I will most definitely let you guys know how it goes! | ||

you guys are a wealth of information.
I have one of those Billy Bank (taebo VHS - yeah I'm old) and haven't used it in years, may just dust it off. what are some good videos? I have an exercise ball, tubes, lighter weights (which I really don't like to use, but will), eliptical and a bench that I try and do crunches on. |

Welcome meg and great job!
All this St Patty's Day talk is getting me so excited for the weekend! It sounds like it'll be a fun one for alot of u! Today was my official week 1 weigh-in day..down 3.5 lbs :-) It's getting easier too, much to the encouragement here and just reading through everyone's struggles, ideas, etc. Would love to write more but gotta get back to work! Keep up the good work everyone and don't forget to have fun in the process |

awesome job lily!! I'm hoping to be down 1.6lbs by Monday! Gotta watch my food/alcohol intake this weekend!! ah!
teenwolf- I like amazon, too! :) I obsessively research stuff before purchasing it, lol... I like collage video b/c of their return policy. Too bad I waited so long to dislike the step video! I would have returned it!! :) vcooper- my favorite video that involves the ball and the hand weights is Denise Austin, Shrink your Female Fat Zones. I know, I know, DA is super annoying, but once I got the hang of the workout I turned on the radio and just followed along with the dvd for guidance. I have been using that dvd for about 3 months and I really enjoy it! It works all kinds of muscles and gets my heart rate up! I also have Prevention, Abs, Butt and Thighs. It's 3 different workouts that can be done at 10 min each or all at once. I usually do all at once and it is a good workout for me! It uses the handweights in the last 2 workouts and I feel like I've gotten a little better shape since starting that dvd. I'm acutally doing that tonight after work! :) |

Hi everyone. I'm Kayvan. I'm 5'6" and used to be around 175 pounds. I've dropped about 30 pounds and am hovering around 142-144 right now. My eventual goal is 130-135, while building muscle and sporting a 6-pack. :-) I think I may be one of the few guys here. Best regards, ---Kayvan |

ksylvan - welcome!! wow, this was pretty cool. i'm tired today and just didn't feeling like making lunch (plus, we don't have much in the house at the moment ... major grocery shopping trip is in order!) i felt like getting something ready made and warm. i went to quiznos and got a small honey bourbon chicken sandwich with everything ... YUMMY ... and it was only 359 calories and 6 grams of fat and i'm full! WOW! So nice when you find something like that. :) |

| teenwolf.. the sandwich sounds really yummy.. but you have to watch them... that one had almost 1500 mg of sodium in it.. :( i love subway sandwiches but the sodium is horrible for me, and i can see it the next day, cos my body retains water from it.. it usually takes me a couple days just to get the water back off :( | ||

| lol.. actually sweating might help get it out, lol.. sorry i had to tell ya that.. but i didnt want you to freak tomorrow if your weight is up, cos it will probably just be due to the sodium... :( and drink LOTS of water today to help flush it out :) | ||

Welcome Vcooper, Coral, Leonarcm, Swearimn, I missed you when you started here :).. Meg: 30 lbs in 4 months is like a dream come true!! Congratulations and wish you success ..!! Do keep at it and keep posting !! Vcooper, 141- 142 is such a great weight :) Keep at it you should lose more - but do take a moment and feel proud of your achievement! Way to go, prdmommy!! Lilly- that is a great loss!! Congratulations!! I dont know how you could have the patience to weigh in just once a week.. I NEED TO KNOW what I weigh every day - whether or not that is good news :).. Really admirable, I think! |

| i have a question for you all (speaking of sodium). why is it that people always say that diet coke has so much sodium!? It only has 40 mg! That wouldn't exactly throw you way off! Can someone explain this to me? Oh wait, maybe i don't want the answer (heehee)... | ||

| hmmm i honestly dont know?? maybe because people who normally would drink a 12 pack of regular soda switch to a 12 pack of diet... and then that adds up to 480 mg of sodium?? lol.. plus, you get sodium in a lot of other stuff you eat... i have to watch mine everyday... so i know a lot of the stuff i love to eat has lots of sodium in it... | ||

hmm, thanks for trying. i've always just wondered that. but maybe you're right, maybe some people drink 12 a day, who knows? i only drink one a day and i've had people tell me the key to losing weight is getting rid of that one diet coke a day because of all the sodium. Yeah, right!! i tell them that if that's my only vice, i'm doing pretty well. (Of course, it's not though). ;) |

| I am sure that cutting out the one diet coke won't make a huge difference (unless you have a health issue that makes absorption of sodium different or are particularly sensitive to it).. Admittedly, I don't drink 12 a day lol, but I do drink 2-3 (and when Im stressed or tired, sometimes 4 a day.. gross, I know) but I started the whole weight loss thing at 200lbs and got down to 132 without changing my diet coke habits (chocolate and starbucks habits, however, have brought me back here lol.. figured when I hit 150 it was time to not let things get out of hand again).. | ||

ugh its raining here, again... soooo depressing.. make me want to just lay down under a blanket and go back to sleep.. hmmm wonder if my kids will let me after i get my daughter home from school.. hehe... i have come down from 208 to 145.5 in the last 11 months (most of it since september when i had only gotten down to 198) and once i get down to goal weight i am NOT going to allow it to go back up... no way... i will allow myself to eat some of those things i really enjoy on occassion, but i refuse to go through all this hard work again loll.. i am still going to keep a steady eye on my weight and what i am eating lol.. (and i love starbucks.. and dairy queen, and italian food.. yummmmm...) am thinking about going out to eat tomorrow night, i love outback steakhouse's alice springs chicken.. its not the greatest thing for me to be eating, but if i limit myself during the day i should be okay... maybe have some sodium overload... of course, the whole meal is like almost my entire daily allowance of calories.. ugh... but maybe my daughter will share with me :) |

when I ate food w/more salt than I'm used to, my body retained tons of water! I went up 1.6lbs over night! It was crazy! I think I'm back to normal now but it was def. not something I'm used to!
That is so awesome unicat! I'm sure you'll do great keeping off the weight! Hopefully I'll be able to keep up my eating habits once I get to my goal and keep it off as well! :) |
