OmG i slept last night!!!! weeeeeeeeeeee 8 whole hours!!! i feel great!!!!!!!! went to sleep at 12:30, dang what a concept!! So if i used up the energy, does that mean im gonna have to excersise 3 hours a day???? no freaking way i can do that!!
So it is friday, thank goodness, my 2 older babies will be home sunday woooooooooohoooooooo i miss em so much, lol wasnt i complaining about them last week??? too funny!!
Not much going on here for the weekend fight night tomorrow, hope no drama like last one!!!!!!! I hate drama, especially when it comes to a bunch of drunk dudes!!! But it is funny when they almost cry!!
Next weekend i am going on a float trip, so KT if u could do numbers for me again that would be GREAT!!
So i am down 3.5 this week so 195.5. which means i have lost 25.5 pounds!! I have also lost 29.75 inches....sad i had that much to lose!!

oh had a huge discussion about the sopranos and i guess the fade to black was how he descibed death, so i think tony died!! lol i just found this out last night, Lorraine Bracco (sp) was on our radio station.......lol im slow kinda glad they didnt show that i WOULD OF CRIED!!!!

i dont' know why i can't get the damn numbers to go down! i drop calories and it doesnt work, i increase and it doesnt work, i zigzag and it doesnt work! ugh I'm at least not going up though so I guess

i rode 30 minutes last night. I don't have cages on my bike so I didn't have any water w/ me during the ride.
Right now I'm eating around 1500 cals....most days it's about 1400 though. It says I burn about 2500 cals a day if I don't add any activities to it. But when I calculated my BMR from my tri booklet it said I burn about 2700 cals per day. I am scared to go up further. I guess maybe I'll try 1600 cals per day and see how that goes?

or u could try giving your body a shock, and eat 2200 calories, which u would still have a deficit, but eat about 2200 for 2 days and see what happens, what do u have to lose?? then when u go back down to 1500 calories u would start losing again, just a thought not sure if it will work, but i have heard it does cause ur body gets confused??

KT, isn't it you that gets into the Chipotle burritos? I think this is a great opportunity for you to enjoy a burrito! Have you logged in your activities. A half hour of bike riding has got to be a couple hundred calories burned. Whatever it is, subtract that from your calories eaten and that's how many you've really consumed. It does look like your deficits are too big. It does get scary to eat more when we've been trying to eat less but use it (like I should've done w/a gyros I've been wanting) and get a burrito girl!!! Shock that system of yours! I totally agree with Chris.

haha the problem is when i do get the chipotle burrito i eat very little the rest of the day to make up for it! Well my calories in yesterday were abotu 1600, calories burned were around 2800 (that's including the bike ride). When I first started on here I was eating about 1500 cals a day and went over that a few days but I was losing. I don't get it! I shouldn't be plateauing after only 20 pounds! hmmm I'll think about those 2200 cals. it's so tempting lol.
o and thank you vk! My dad is checking on the hotel right now (they have a timeshare so it wouldnt cost me anything to go up there) so I will let you knwo. but likely i will be celebrating graduating that weekend so I won't be availabel to do it.
just try it out with lots of water, for 2 days like sunday and monday ur body will be like woahhhhhh and then when u drop the calories im thinking it will fall off!!

I LOVE reading all the posts .... you guys make me grin :-) (no I'm not a Lost fan either, but when I was in Hawaii on vacation with my girlfriend, we HAD to be back at the room for Lost AND Survivor!!)
Lost only ONE pound this past week .... but I will TAKE IT (one lost is better than one gained) !!
Chris - YOU ROCK and YES A GREAT INSPIRATION for us ALL !!! I wish my body could take all the exercise ... I hope now that I'm losing, I will be able to do more things. I AM feeling a LOT better :-)
BTW Chris - it does sound like you had low blood sugar/lack of protein ... before doing that much exercise, if you don't have time to eat, you should at least get some protein (drink?) in you.
Katie - I am on another thread that one of the ladies gave us a formula for calculating how many calories we actually need (and you can calculate - add or subtract - calories by the amount of exercise you do. I know I didn't say that right, but I'll go find the formula and paste it here for all of us.

Ok Guys ... Here is the Calorie Intake Formula from one of my other threads - see if it works for you:
Lesson 1 is understanding how many calories it actually takes for your BASIC metabolism. This means just daily life and your weight is stable.
* Current weight / 2.2 = A (this is converting weight to kg)
* (8.7 x A) + 829 = B (BMR Basal Metabolic Rate)
* B x 1.3 = C (these are the calories needed daily to maintain your weight where you are TODAY)
Ok. So this is your starting place. Not pulled from a hat. But based on basic science and math.
The 1.3 used in the calculation represents determining the daily energy requirement. This could be low for a few people. BUT the most common mistake made is people underestimate the calories they consume (if they were to measure and weigh faithfully) and overestimate the amount of activity they actually get!
Lesson 2...now that you know how many calories it takes to run your body at a very light level of intensity, let's figure out how to make adjustments WITHOUT starving or making our bodies think we are starving.
* One pound = 3500 calories
* One pound per week = 3500 / 7 = 500 calories per day
Now, you have a couple of options here. You KNOW you must arrive at a deficit of 500 less calories PER DAY in order to achieve a one pound weight loss per week.
* Achieved through eating 500 less calories each day
* Exercising enough to burn off 500 calories
* or a combination of BOTH! 250 less calories eaten and 250 calories burned through cardio.
Now you are armed and dangerous. Play with it. See what YOU are comfortable with. For me personally, I am aiming at a minimum of 1.5 pounds a week...which would bring me calorically to 1370...and THEN all of my cardio will just further my results. I lost 3.6 last week. This is always a slightly moving target and you must be willing to play with it and be open minded.
* You should NEVER EVER eat less than 1300 calories per day! You can burn it off...but you must at least consume that many into your body and those calories MUST be good ones.

I cheated and peeked again today...and if I read the number right I'm going to show a modest loss again this week. 1.5...hope it holds steady until tomorrow, unless it wants to move further down.
My office manager said she wants me to try the dessert she brought for the BBQ our office is having today. Yeah...she says it's a layer of ice cream sandwiches covered with vanilla ice cream topped with cool whip. I told her "NO WAY!!! What are you trying to do, sabatoge me!?!?!?" She just laughed. No worries guys...I brought my handy dandy measuring spoons with me today so I can really be good while I'm being bad. I don't care what anyone says about how dorky I look. This dork is going to lose this extra person hanging all over me.
