Clean Eating Challenge

Ok, there seems to be a mysterious condition going around that is causing sabotage to our eating. I know I'm not alone here when I admit that my eating this past little while leaves a lot to be desired, causing slight weight gain after such hard work to lose it.

I also know, that I am the same person who was practically flawless in my eating for like almost 90 days straight, so I know I can get ahold of this - who's with me?? 

There is no deadline for sign-ups, anyone can join at any time!!

All you have to do is check in once a week (at least) & let us know how you're doing. If/when you "cheat", simply let us know & I will restart your start date.

A cheat is defined as whatever a cheat would mean to you personally, whether it be going over your calories, bingeing, not eating enough, too many treats, etc. We all know when we've cheated, so just be honest with yourself

Let's be honest with each other & keep each other eating clean k? The PRIZE to the winner? Well that's easy - weight loss!!!!!!!!! (or maintenance for those at that stage!) Let's do this!

If you lose your mind & cheat, just let me know. Then you can re-start from the next day. I'll simply unbold your name, along with updating your new start date.

After being clean for a week after a re-start, I'll re-bold your name. So you always have a chance to feel like you are succeeding. 

Also, if you just don't feel like you want to partake in the challenge anymore, can you let me know so I can remove your name from the list? Thanks!!

Anyone not checking in for one week (December 25 - December 31) will be removed from the challenge.

I know I am a broken record but I think we need to get rid of words like cheating and I need to re-start.  This is a lifestyle change and we are not going to be 100% perfect.  I think we need to get rid of the diet mentality it only hinders.  For me, when I say cheat or failed it only creates a spiral.  That is my 2 cents anywho.

In any event, this month I am doing abs 5 days a week for 15 minutes aside from my work out.  Does anyone want to join?  I am having a prob in this area.  Mid-life spread.  I also am glad the month of May is over.   I was overly slammed!! I feel I can pick my head up above water now.  I am looking forward to eating really healthy this month.  Blessings, Lenny

Tully - I'll so do that abs thing with you. I would love to tone my midsection! What do you do during those 15 minutes?
ugh im out agian.  i wnet to a party and started out good - fruit, veggie burger, healthy stuff.  then later *pfft* my common sense went out the window.  i think i did ok calorie wise, prob still under maitinence but ugh it was all crap.
Dee 6 days and still clean I might make it for a bit this time.

I want to make a goal date of at least til the 10 of june and then recommit to a later date. I am finding keeping it in the day is really working for me. I only have to stay clean today and tomorrow will tale care of it self.
Chum, I am going to do the turbo 18 minute ab dvd for one work out.  Do you have any of the firm?  I have some old ones and there is one that has a section on abs that I really really like.  So, I am giong to try and to between the two.  What were you thinking?  Tully

How about some strawberries and a little bit of light whipped cream???  Would that help those cravings?
I got the firm too its a good workout. I also have like abs and buns of steel  but they are the one I always say oh Ill do those tomorrow and it never comes. lol  I got some new  teabo dvds and a yoga for weight loss any one tried theses ? how do they rate?
Holy Crap! I did that!  So cool!  Just to let everyone know that I am still going strong and weighed in this past Saturday at 204.9.  Hopefully within the next couple weeks I'll officially be out of the 200's club. xstar17x keeping me motivated!  Same to you dee!  Have a nice day.
Oh and foxymama, let me tell you.  I get cravings for sweets and I eat a sugarfree jello 60 cals and light aerosol whipped cream 20 cals and it kills the sweet tooth.  Eat it slowly.  Add fruit to make it yummier!
I'm back from China!  And.... I didn't gain any weight!!  Looks like I followed my diet even WITHOUT knowing the caloric content of what I was eating.

On the downside, we (family and I) think I have several ulcers . . . . ouch!  I'm going to the doctor this week to get it  checked out.
Still doing great...been walking like 7 miles a day. 

I'm not completely sure when I have not "ate clean".  What if I have a small candy bar to cure a craving?  I have been doing great with the diet, but when I really crave something I have a little bit so I don't totally over eat something else.
okay still going strong today and feeling good still a little low on energy, but i am sure i will be back to normal as soon as i get used to this med. how is every one doing. lisa

Had a bad weekend, a party on Saturday night went to a party where too many alcohol calories were the culprit and Sunday too many recovery calories needed.  Not up to much on the scale and today is a new day-fresh start.  My longest clean is 9 days, I need to beat that.  That will be my new goal.  Start date of June 4.

Dee- Hope your dog is doing better.

Thanx for the tips I did it! just some strawberries and  tsp of whipped cream I never thought it would work but just a little of somthing that you want... if you think and eat slowley really does curb the 3 biscuit and a half a cup of whipped cream binge Yay

still clean...my tech's bf brought her a big bag of fresh,hot five guy frenchfries last night and i didn't even have 1!!!!! :)
