140/130 club

Quote  |  Reply
Anyone in this grouping looking to drop from 140 to 130's.  We can all use support.  Today I am focusing on all the food groups.  Exercise would be good, but I won't be able to since I am working from 9 to 10:30.  A Super long day.  I hope I can stay focused, when I pass the fast food chaines on my travels today.

Good morning.

I hear you about the busy schedule and trying to eat right.  It gets so frustrating at times.  I also hate those frozen dinners.
I'm with you guys too on the busy schedule! I make one huge portion on Sunday, then I have those leftovers for the rest of the week. It is so easy to just stick them in the microwave! Whenever I have time to cook, I make sure to make too much so I have good food for the rest of the week...

I HATE FAST FOOD!!! My dad brought us lunch today and got KFC... ugh. So I asked for a roasted chicken salad, 210cal for salad, 50 cal for dressing... figured it would be a good, filling choice. Well, he called me while he was at KFC and they told him they didn't have salads!!! what??!!! They had them on their online menu, but not the store! I was pissed!! So I just got the first thing that came to mind cuz I was on a time constraint... I got the twister wrap they have... 670 cal!!!!!!!!!! ugh... Then he brought us a few bites of coffee cake and I had a little bit of that. It would not have been so bad if I would have gotten the salad I wanted! What a pain. I was planning on having soup for dinner now I'm banking on it. I'm sure one day isn't going to hurt me but the thing that sucks most is I'm still hungry! this sucks.... now I'm really, really ready for the weekend!!! and I don't have any fruit or anything that I could possibly snack on! what a crappy day... better luck tomorrow!!
welcome to the group coral :)

yay kiigan on hitting 142.5 this morning :) wtg :)

messam - sorry about the argument with your fiance...  watch out for those po'boys...  wonder how much sodium is in them...

srd - try not to let your days stress dictate your caloric intake...

oh dee i know how good that pizza looked...  i can drool just thinking about having pizza lol...   good luck on planning out some meals you can make/take in a rush that arent bad for you :)

i am in a good mood this morning :) scale said 146 :) yay :) so off that 147 track, for the moment lol.. better not see it again... lol...  not much going on here today..  so i will be around...  (got housework to do, but i am always on the computer lol...  checking back and forth :P )

~Brigitte~
So far I'm doing ok! That's another factor to my weight gain... mindless eating and eating to get my mind off stress... but I think I'm finally getting out of that habit..
yay srd :) just relax and breathe when you get stressed... take time to let yourself..  and exercise almost always makes you feel better, gets those endorphins going :) and think before you put that food in your mouth...  "am i really hungry.. do i really want this food??  or am i eating because of other reasons??"  you can do it :)

off to exercise.... :)
thanks unicat :) I had a small bag of pretzels b/c I really was hungry, stupid KFC was not filling at all.... ugh. Maybe I'm getting stressed a little easier today b/c I didn't work out last night! Hopefully this weekend with my friends will help me to chill out a little too! :) tomorrow is Friday! yay!
glad to hear you're still hanging in there srd!!!  is there tea around? sometimes sipping a hot cup of tea can calm your nerves AND stem the hunger :)

way to go brigitte-glad to hear you're having a "light" day with me! yay!

it can be really hard to make yourself good meals on a tight schedule--but good job staying up to make it the night before! you get a gold star!  ti's also a good idea to make a ton on the weekend that's easy to heat up. i love that about soup.

and dj--my weekend is going to be SOOOO bad, too :) but i'm totally geeked about it :)  but i mean...jell-o shots are low fat, right??? :)
Like the idea of cooking ahead, I have tried it a couple of times and it works great.    Still stuck between 142-140 for the last 5 or so days.... sucks!!!

the stress is a big problem here, I grab my MP3 player and walk - singing away to myself or whoever happens to be around!!!!  also burying myself in a good book, takes my mind off food,
I'm getting an ipod this weekend, so I'm stoked about that! That is a good idea... I like books as well, don't have a lot of time to read them, but do enjoy them when I can!

Man, I just got exhausted! Just one day w/out exercise and a crappy meal and I'm already feeling sluggish! I'm really looking forward to my work out tonight! :)
make the sugar free jell-o shots :) I was just thinking about how tasty those sounded.... yum
i think that i just got the regular jell-o.  i'm bummed cuz the only green jell-o they make now is lime. i mean, what happened to apple???
I made cherry vodka lime jell-o shots once... they came out pretty tasty!
I just joined 3.13.07. Reading all these posts has made me very excited about starting my weight loss program and very very motivated! I'm 5'9 and 148 now, i would like to get into the low 130s.  Its nice to know that i'm not the only one that seems to struggle with this on a daily basis.

Only downfall is starting the week of st.pattys... i guess saturday will just have to be an off day.
I understand the St Patty's Day worries leonarcm!.. but even though it's St. Patty's Day doesnt mean it has to be completely 'off' right?...I was thinking I'll make SURE to hit the gym.. throwing in an extra 15 mins if possible.. then Saturday, because Im sure Ill end up out on the town with friends, Ill eat lighter (but try to cram in some fiber) during the day and keep track of what I'm drinking (for example, knowing in advance how many cals are in 6 beers lol and staying within or close to that)..Just subbing the fries at any restaurant for fruit, or if fries are a must, eating half the food and boxing the rest (or if you're really motivated sticking with salad) can make a HUGE difference..but still allow for fun!  My goal is to have a good time but not feel too too guilty for it!  Worth a shot! Good luck!
kilgan--get sugar free jello--jello is protein from processed cow hooves (I still like it!  doesn't bother me!) And guinness has the same cals as a light beer, has antioxidants and.....it's an irish beer!

Erin go braugh!
i'll never look at jello the same way.  Ever!!
hey all! I havent posted in a while because Im frustrated with my scale. It says i am in the 134-137 area. It fluctuates  A LOT. It is a taylor scale and i just got it. I dont really like it but it cost 30 bucks so i'm sticking with it. (i'm cheap).

So i've been doing pretty good. I have a problem with binging once a week though I need to get better. I just got over the stomach flu so now i'm back on track at going to the gym-only about 4 times a week though for just about 30 min of cardio. I'm starting to do more abs workouts thouh becauuse i want to have a nice stomach.

well i already got the jell-o....and it's not the sugar free kind. i did a test run today and it came out pretty well! my mom ate a bunch...the lush :)  i've never ACTUALLY liked jell-o (neither has my sister), but if there's alcohol, i'm in!

st. patty's day is going to be a TOTALLY off day for me.  and i don't care one bit :)  i'm going to relax, have fun, and go crazy.  then i'll be right back on track on sunday.  i'll probably try to eat salad or something for dinner, but i'm not going to freak out about my drunk snacking.

welcome leon!!!! this is the point where the weight just doesn't want to come off as easily, so good luck! we're here for you!

i have a taylor scale, too, knarik, and i am also not a fan :)  but i worry taht it's a case of the indian blaming the arrow :)  so i stick with it and just swallow it's constant frustrations :)  it's actually  been pretty good to me.

anyways, back to the grind! lots more to do!
I'm psyched for st. patty's! I'm going to try and eat the best I can.. I think all meals are going to be at restaurants, so we'll see. We're going out for breakfast and I'm going to get a veggie omlette (no cheese!) and a pancake... get my protein and have something filling was my thought... lunch I'll probably go a little crazy and get a sandwich and fries... yum.... I'm planning on drinking for a good majority of the day :) enough to where I can't drive, but not so much that I don't remember the day ;) I can't wait! I'll try to squeeze a work out in there somewhere, but I'm not going to get my hopes up! Maybe if I wake up early tomorrow!
