Weighed in this morning and I'm down to 183.2, on May 24th, I was 184.2. It's coming off slowly but surely! :D

Hi brownsug! sorry to hear about your gain.. how low did you get before putting some back? I gained about 6 lbs back on my vacation recently, but I did have my period, and now about 2 weeks later I am back on track.. maybe about pound or so less even.. I weighed at 176.5 this morning, and left my vacation at 178. I started out about 185 at the beginning of May (probably more than that earlier in the year, but didnt have a scale then). I found that starting back to the diet was hard for a few days.. felt really hungry again cutting the calories like when I first started the diet, and starting working out again (after about 2 weeks off!) was a little easier, but kind of sore, like when I first started out.   But I am ready like you now to commit to the diet and exercise again and lose the weight! Lets have an awesome June!!

Hi! 176.5 yesterday morning, went to bed at 181 again!Yell was 177.5 this morning. I have been trying to do better with the eating, but last night the kids had pizza, and it smelled so dang good, I just had to have a piece (and clean up what was left on the plates- which probably amounted to at least another piece!) And today, my hubby insisted I accompany him to lunch and he chose Buffalo Wild Wings because they have the Tuesday deal. I ordered the 'naked wings'- boneless, skinless chicken tenderloin pieces served with your choice of the sauces- I ordered the hot and the carribean jerk.. the carribean jerk was pretty good, but the hot was a bit too spicy for me, and I usually like pretty spicy stuff. I had a side salad too, but forgot to order without the cheese, and forgot to ask for the light dressing, so I didnt use very much. I had water to drink.. I have really been trying to eliminate soda, even diet soda, from my diet altogether. I had a 'rest' day yesterday too- I was sore from getting back into working out again (and still kind of am!) But I did quite a bit of exercise today. ooo, I wish losing weight wasnt so flippin hard!

>.<

I've been craving donuts for so long, so I went and got some.  Gosh, donuts are so bad for you.  I would have been better off getting cake.

But I'm still at 176...maybe?  Last week I had an incident and my scale might not be accurate anymore.  My analog says 170lbs so maybe 175/176.

Fat - 22.0% (33 grams)
Protein - 22.3% (76 grams)
Carbohydrates - 55.6% (190 grams)
Alcohol - 0.0%
Other - 0.0%

Daily Sodium Intake - 3,999 mg
Daily Sugar Intake - 49 grams
Daily Cholesterol Intake - 139 mg
Daily Saturated Fat Intake - 7 grams
Daily Fiber Intake - 34 grams

Calories 1286

Thought I'd leave that and pat myself on the back.  I'm still on 171.4, which is terrible, but I'm eating right, if it weren't for the sodium.  I thought I'd pat myself on the back.

177.5 again this morning.  Wish it wouldnt go up after eating and drinking my water!

Selene, I love donuts!! havent had any for quite awhile though.. and trying to keep it that way. Why do so many yummy treats have to be so bad for you? what kind did you get?

Leopardrayne, great job with eating yesterday! i love it when i have a good day, and then look at that analysis with the big 'A' !! They should have a certificate you can print out and pin up on your fridge.Laughing   My sodium tends to run a little high too, and alot of times the sugar too.. dang fruit!

Wendy - that was actually a B-.  I don't know why, I really tried.  Sometimes I don't agree with their grades.  Everything I did yesterday was what I wanted.

BTW... fruit sugar is okay.  The site doesn't differentiate between good, natural sugars (such as fresh fruits) and the bad, artificial sugars (processed, things with high fructose corn syrup - EVEN JUICE!, candies, "junk food", and a few things you'd think were healthy).  Fruit sugar should not be counted because your body processes these in a healthier way.

Really? a B- ?? go figure.. I know what you mean about the sugar, but I still want it to be lower! I had some grape juice the other day, and holy cow that has a lot of sugars!- even if they are natural fruit sugars!

But still, you did an awesome job yesterday! What did you eat?

Chocolate frosted donut.  Yummy.  I blame birthday cake for wanting me to crave sugars again, but it all disappears again.  I'm not buying anymore junk!   (Other than my vitamn C popiscles.  48cal, 12 sugars)  To be honest, I think there's been about 36 of them in the house (medium size), and in all, I've had 3.  The other 33 seem to have been inhaled by Ryan.  It's amazing the rate he can eat.  But then again, I'm half his size so it's to be expected he should eat double.  (I checked out his burn meter and it's at 3400...)

I need to get back into eating through.  All this soup seems to leave me without the urge to eat regular foods...  My protein's way too low.  And I'm sure all that work to cut my salt is gone down the drain.  Darn numbed tastebuds.

I noticed all the fruits I like are crazy with sugar...red grapes, cherries, bananas, pineapples...

mmm.. chocolate frosted donut.. I had some desserts on our vacation, and it has been hard for me to kick my sweet tooth out again since we've been back! It doesnt help with my husband suggesting Dairy Queens every other night either!!  oo. I like those fruits too, and strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, apples.. I have been trying to do more veggies than fruits to keep the sugars down.

i got down to 184.4 and then the long weekends started Frown and i am currently at 187 but by the end of this week i'm trying to be at 186...i'm motivated and determined to not undo all the hard work i have been doing so far

brownsug, thats not too bad, 2-3 lbs.. you'll have that off again in no time, and then some! I understand and totally relate to your frustration thoughl.. losing weight is such hard work!!

yes it is, but i feel much better for attempting to do better and actually doing it too! (if that makes sense, lol)

I totally agree with you! For so long I just complained about how fat I was getting and was too damn lazy to get off my butt and do something about it! But now I am doing it, I just do it- I make better food choices, and I get off my butt and exercise and move and I am feeling better- more energy, and I feel better about myself too. I just wish the rewards (i.e. the weight loss) would come a little faster!!Wink

Wendy - I had four meals so I can't say Lunch 1or Lunch 2 or something like that  So I'm calling them meal 1, meal 2, meal 3, etc. what I ate was:

MEAL 1
1.25 cups Fiber One Cereal
6 fl oz Skim milk

MEAL 2
Chick Fil-A Chargrilled Chicken SALAD
Chick Fil-A Chargrilled Chicken (just the filet)
Chick Fil-A Light Italian
4 fl oz Dr. Pepper
16 fl oz Diet Pepsi

MEAL 3
1/2 tbsp garlic
4 oz Ragu tomato sauce
2 oz (one plate) of Ronzoni Smart Pasta (contains high protein, fiber, and calcium)
8 fl oz Skim Milk

MEAL 4
2 oz (one plate) of Ronzoni Smart Pasta
4 oz Ragu tomato sauce
4 oz lipton iced tea (mixed with 4 oz water/8 oz glass)

In other news, I need to sit here and laugh for a few minutes, merely because I got my speedometer calibrated for general knowledge and if it so happened that I would have to get out of a speeding ticket.  Here's the diagnostics:

Actual Speed:   Speedometer Reading:
20                     19
25                     31
35                     47
45                     62
55                     77
60                     82

70                     PEG

Leopardrayne, Is Chick Fil-A a restaurant? We dont have that around here (Minnesota).. Funny, we drove to Florida on vacation a couple years ago, and its strange to see all the different store and restaurant chains different from home! I like to mix diet and a little regular soda too when I have it.. I dont really care much for the taste of diet sodas..  oo.  Ronzoni pasta- I have been buying that too- I like it- my problem is not eating too much of it! (Its been hard for me to cut down on the breads and pastas- i was a total carb addict!)

Leopardrayne, lol about your speedometer! Guess you didnt really have to worry about getting tickets if you were following that! BTW, my hubby is a cop, and I have heard quite a few stories about speeding tickets!

My mouth hurts!  All the top back teeth have been drilled.  And the bottoms need work too.  But I'm suppose to have my wisdom teeth pulled soon too.  So much oral pain!

And there's no donuts in my house anymore.  Just italian ice and popiscles.  My mouth appreciates it right now.  But in preparation (cause I knew it would be bad), I ate nothing but protein for breakfast.  Now I just need to figure how to get 500 calories in me without chewing.  Ugh.

Wendy, Chick-fil-a is like a chicken only burger stop?  They have nice salads (cause I love their berry vingarrette), chicken wraps, fruit salads...and grilled chicken burgers.  So it's healthier than my other fast chicken alternatives where it's fried and never grilled.  My bf loves their caramel coffee shake...but those are his two favorite things.

Hello all! Wendy - your holiday sounds fab you lucky thing.

My knees were pretty bad for a couple of weeks - which meant no gyming and a little too much comfort eating (whoops).

Anyway, am back down the gym now and though I'm back up to 182 :-( and determined to drop some more pounds!

Oooh, Chick-fil-A... yum.  I haven't been there in forever!  I try to avoid that place since I've started eating healthier.  Their chicken sandwhiches are very good, but a little too greasy for my taste - and they're kind of on the pricey side.  Their shakes are really good, but I try not to think about those.  When I first moved down here (FL) from WI, I had no idea what a Chick-fil-A was, and we were pronouncing the name wrong, which was hilarious.  Yeah, there are definitely a lot of places that they have down here that they don't have up in the north WI/MN area.  One of my favorite things down here is Planet Smoothie.... soooo good.  If I ever moved back up north, I would definitely miss that place.  Actually that might be a deal breaker!

153 this morning... gained a pound the other day and was up to 154.6 on Tuesday, but it must have been mostly water weight because I'm back down again now.  It drove me crazy when I found out I gained that pound & I felt so discouraged.  As far as I can remember, that was the first time since I've started this that I've gone backwards and gained.  It's a yucky feeling - I don't like it.
