150's group...daily updates
Bummer...can't work out like usual this morning...have to drop off a car at the shop with my husband and then have committments at my son's schools...
I hate getting off my routine...glad we have an elliptical...going to have to get on it tonight after the boy's hockey.
Goal today is to stick with 1200-1300 calories in case the workout doesn't happen....
Of course I woke up starving...going for the protien bar or the oatmeal...can't decide.
Good morning and have a great day all!

Hello everyone, I haven't really posted much on this particular thread, but I should, because so far I've found the forums to be a really good source of motivation. Who would have thought?
Anyways, I bought a new scale yesterday that should be much more accurate than my current one. It says that I'm 159.5, so I'd better watch it or I'll end up in the 160's group! Which isn't a bad thing (sorry 160's - I've been there, too), I would just prefer my 150 friends!
My new scale also told me my percentage of body fat and hydration (I think that means the percentage of water in my body?)...I don't know what these numbers mean, though. Does anyone know what the healthy ranges are?

Hi Dee, thanks :) I heard that the hula-hoop is good for working your stomach, and it's raining here at the moment so I can't really get out in the garden with out getting very cold and wet. (Secretley I'm just a big kid and like skipping and hula-hooping) what better excuse for it? Hehehe.

Hello all!
I'm finally in the 150's!!!!! (I have been 158-159 for the past week) WOO-HOO!
I started workouts with a personal trainer on 1/17/07 and was weighed and measured. I'm scheduled to get everything measured again this Saturday and I'm actually looking forward to it. I'll keep you posted with results.

dee - dont it feeeeeeeeel good.. love those skinny days.. i looked at myself in the mirror, and my belly button, which has been a frown for as long as i can remember is slowly starting to open up into that O look :) slowly but i can tell the difference from the frown it was :) yay :)
as for me this morning.. lost another half a lb, which puts me at 148.5 - but my trend line is at 150.30 so here i am :) i sooooo dont wanna move til i am absolutely positive that its gonna stay below 150 lol.. (and that'll make my move from the 140's into the 130's seem to come quicker, right, lol...)

I think your all doing so well! I can't believe the amounts your all loosing it's fantastic! I've only been on the site a couple of days and I've lost a couple of pounds! Hearing all your success stories is giving me loads of motivation. We can do this!
wtg brokenchinadoll :) you CAN do it, see :) it just takes determination and will power :)
Hula Hooping does sound like fun and a great workout! I wonder how many calories you can burn doing that?
Hello i just hit 159 today so already it is a good day. I seem to be losing the first 10 pounds quickly but i know that soon the dreaded plateau will strike. Its all good thou the clothes that were getting very tight on me are now fitting loosly again and thats all i really wanted in the first place,
I wish everyone a great day and much success!

welcome to the 150's plasticdwarf :) congrats on your success so far :)
Even though I started offically dieting on Saturday the 24th, I decided to have one last Chipotle run with my b/f on Sunday night, after being good all day long. Gahhh, I probably undid all the good for Sat. and Sun.
Monday the 26th I was back on track, did great Tuesday, Wednesday (went "over" by 200cals, but I excercised, so technically, I didn't go "over".), and today Thursday I'm going to be good again! I weighed myself and I'm 155 now, from 157.
Plus I'm bloated so... who knows how much I've already lost.
I'm super shocked.
Yay ^^

How fun! all these new people to our group! Welcome!
Brigitte- I am hoping to see 149 soon--you are doing great! I think after a week of your scale saying 149 ish you should jump ship! I'm tellin ya, we should just change the name of the thread to "nearly 140's group!" I'm so excited for you!
plasticdwarf--don't stress about a plateau yet--worry about it when (and if) you hit one. Just keep doing what you know is healthy, and your body will get into gear again!
I have seen myself and others stall on their weight loss when they are not eating enough--strange but true--as we get into better shape, the muscles you have need more fuel to work, and if we don't adjust a little, our body will start to hang on to reserves --which turns out to be every bit you put into your mouth!
I think I'm going to get a hula hoop--I can't stop thinking about it!:D

I'm weak I tell you weak!!!!!!!! So I've totally fallen off track but, unicat was nice enough to check on me through messenger and make sure I was ok :) I've been swamped at work and haven't had a spare second to get on here and guess what it shows! I didin't realize how much this site was helping me to stay on track!
Well my son is out of town unitl the 6th (his 5th B-day) so I have plenty of time to do tons of exercise. I'm back with a vengence.
I don't know if any of you have seen this new exercise machine but they sell it at Brookstone (like the sharper image) and it's a small surfboard. It has different settings and is supposed to tone your whole body. I tried it and it was fun. I could definetly feel all of my muscles engage!

Hello everyone, especially all my fellow newbies! This site is great. It really helps to read everyone's posting right before you exercise. It gives me motivation to put in a little more honest effort : )
I am at 157 lbs today. I haven't seen that in 5 years.
The hula hoop sounds fun. I think I have one in my garage, that I used to use for dog training. Hum...if I have to clean my garage to get to it, that counts as exercise...right? : )
Congrats to all the new 140's !!

Those virtual models are cool--how do you put them into your pics? Do you create it first, then save the pic?
ltlmsmfft--we missed you! And we are still here, so get back on the wagon! You can do it! :)

create the model first (at your highest weight, or whatever).. then click on ctrl and prt sc at the same time... then open paint, and paste the image into paint then save it on your computer as whatever... then create the next one at the lower weight... doing the same thing.. if you want to put both models on the same pic you can.. you just gotta open the first one in paint, make a space big enough to put the second image beside it... then open the second image(in another paint window so you have two paint windows open), cut the image out, and paste it on to the first one and move it to the open space you created, then save it :) and upload to here :)
