Olivia: This is a great thread, thanks! It gets better everyday. Please do be careful with those knees of yours. I'd take a break til the pain subsides. I did a lot of reading when I had painful knees, and came to the conclusion to walk and not wog ( walk/jog ) nor run. I had to switch to walking or I would have aggravated the problem and set myself up for knee replacement surgery in my old age. Yikes, no thanks!

Zochia: I can relate to your fear of walking in your neighborhood, because I've been there, done that. :( What about your local high school track? That's where I would go. There are usually lots of walkers there, hence your security net. Thanks for recommending a Pilates DVD. Good idea. Good luck on busting your plateau!
Anje: I think Katie on " Kate and Jon Plus Eight " is so organized too. I enjoy watching her. And even when she and Jon are having their spats, you can sense their love and devotion/dedication to each other an to their children. They are great parents.

Cheermom: They never did warn ME to pace myself, lol. And I was very young at the time. I learned my lesson fast. As far as those 100 calorie packs, I can't trust myself to have them here in the house. There just isn't enough in a pack, whether it be snacks or cakes, and I end up eating more than one serving. I hope the day comes when I can control myself and try them again.
Kimanne: Kudos to you for getting back up and jumping on the wagon again. You sure are exercising a lot, so you can afford to eat more!

Immom: Yes, stress does it for me, I can gain up to three lbs overnight from stress/hormone fluctuations.

the encouragement on this board made me work out late last night and guess who couldn't get to sleep after that? ME I was up watching Law ans Order SVU on DVR at 1:30 AM. AM I CRAZY? I have to be up at 5:45 to get to work at 7:00. To top that off The POPE is in NYC and the streets are shut down everywhere! So I thank you all for the wonderful encouraging words but next time not right before bed the day before weigh in ! LOL
I am still 216 I got down to 215 tues but have been 216 for two days so I 'll take that. I didn't work out much this week due to uninvited company two days in a row. My husband and I are the couple to come to with marital problems we should start charging for it! Too bad we don't communicate that well with each other. Tonight is the b'day party I'm hosting for my stepdaughter. It's Disney Princess theme. So we got her a huge icecream cake from Coldstone Creamery, so wish me luck ladies!

Happy to say I saw 165 on the scale this mornin. YAY! Can't think of any other reason than stress for my weight being up. This is where it should be.
I went for a run yesterday and it was beautiful. The sun was shining the whole time. Just enough wind to cool me down when needed. It was great!
Gotta go make the kids breakfast.

um.. boo.. but oh well... just focusing on health here :)
ps... I got my health screening results back (had a health fair at work) and I lowered my cholesterol 40 points over the last year :D It's still pretty high so I'm going to call my doctor to make an appointment and get something to lower it still... but I was happy that I lowered it some on my own!! :)
Wednesday was dreadful for me. After 106 days of no binging, ( and no candy ) I blew it! I was at my calorie limit for the day. It was 9 pm. I finally gave into the Chocolate Easter Bunny that had been sitting in the fridge upopened since I received it on Easter.
The good news is, I only ate his ears and was able to stop myself and throw out the rest. But then I went to the freezer and I had a Lean Cuisine, and then a second one! And then two granola bars! Bringing me up to 2300 calories and 43 grams of fat on Wednesday! I was so disappointed in myself. I went to sleep quite depressed. I woke up 2 pounds heavier and got back on the wagon. I stayed within my calories yesterday and walked twice, two 30 minute brisk walks to kick my metabolism up.
I woke up this morning 1 pound less. One more to go! So far, so good today. I've walked twice and plan one more walk before evening. I am eating out Saturday, and Sunday my family is getting together for dinner too. I think I'll be ok, and that I have my self control back again.
I started out back up to 120.6 pounds January 1st, ( after getting all the way down to 107.6 in September 2007. My goal weight is to be 95 lbs again as I am 5'0 and have a small frame. Here are my stats since this thread started.

Zena -- I have been missing some logging, the hardest part is when I eat things here at work, the back kitchen employees take turn making a community lunch and it is usually really good stuff and all great ingredients, I just don't always know all of it so hard to write it all up. I try to keep as much track in my head about things and hopefully I haven't been too far off.
traci -- I love my yoga cd though its a bit older. I haven't pulled it out for a while and you are making me think about it, hmm need to go find it now!
stephie -- hope the migraine goes away! I had the worst headache this morning and was dieing, I couldn't imagine having a worse one for days on end! ((((((((()))))))))))
Olivia -- WTG on losing with TTOM and not feeling good!! And omg walking in 43 degrees, I couldn't do it, than again when it hits 120 here I won't be out there either. :)
Amaresmom -- LOL! I have done that! At that point its time to bust out a warm cup of milk for me or I go find a boring book. Usually has me out in minutes. :)

Rachel -- It was just the ears so not too bad and good for you for throwing the rest out. Just think of it as a temporary set back for that day, tommorow time to do it the right way. :) At least that is what I tell myself when nibble on the forbidden. :)
Okay I think I got most everyone in my reply, I tried at least! LOL! Past couple of days have still been good for the most part. I even got to walk a bit at the park yesterday while pushing the double stroller, I thought being willing to show up at the park with both of them alone was a challenge in itself, lol! I planned on doing more at the park but I didn't get there till late since I got out of work later than usuall but I did manage to walk around twice and each time took about 15 minutes so that was pretty good. Then I let the babies play on the swings for a bit. As I was leaving I ran into some old friends of the family. I have known these ladies since birth. They are the type that have always worried about their looks and appearances and such so it was sooo nice to hear the complements from them about how much I had lost and how I was looking. I still have a long way to go but at this point I am happy becuase the previous 30 lost let me find my figure again so I know at least I have the right curves, just too much of them. :) I might get to go back to the park again today but if not I have the treadmill instead. And now to the important stuff, I weighed in this morning and was happy with the scale. :)

So its going down!! Yeah only 2 lbs so far but I am on the tail end of TTOM so maybe I will see one of those big drops by next week (my usuall pattern is steady within a lb or 2 for 3 weeks and then a 5 lb dip). I feel like I am getting lighter if that makes sense? We will see!
my doctor (whose first appt with me was geared towards my starting a weight loss regimen -- 14 months ago) was SHOCKED when she saw me today.

hi girls! hope everyone's weigh in went well... writing this post-party... anje: it went well... alot of m,y dear dear friends came by and that was a blast. i was a bit of a good girl too since i stuck to the ultra low-fat tuna sashimi :) of course by the end of the night i knew the bad ass would take over and i just had to have a bit of rice and bbq ribs! the joy!!! and of course the guilt 30 minutes after, haha... oh well, what's done's been done :( new day today new start... stopping by the gym today to work off those ribs too...
oh, but i do have a piece of good news... i didn't have a single drop of alcohol last night so yay to me! :) since im a diabetic, i really cant have alcohol anymore and last night was a first for me... saying no to alcohol at a party woohoo... of course everybody looked a tad bit too sombre (and sober!) to me but all's good :) just happy i wasn't too bad at the party... goes to show i can have a good time and still not let go, yay :)
Great job wickedsis!!! One of the hardest parts for me when I was pregnant was being at a party with my friends and watching everyone (including my husband) drink it up and just look like they were having a much better time than I was. The world is definitly different when your the only sober one in the room! LOL! But kudos to you to know that its just not to say no but detrimental to your health. My dad has diabetes and giving up the glass of wine at social occasions has been the hardest for him.
