| Anyone doing SLIM IN 6? | ||
| Jan 11 2007 16:13 | ||
| I found Slim in 6 to be great for toning, it is not dreadfully hard to do. I did the 6 weeks and found my self toned! I looked great, I did the Slim and Six pack daily too which made my abs look decent. I have not done this in about 2 years now but would love to start it again, that is if i can get my girls to nap at the same time! Anyone doing it, or about to start it? I am ready for the 6 week challenge. I am eager to start but fear not following through... I know it works! I have seen results firsthand! I need a buddy! | ||

hey... last week some one asked what do u do when u ur done with the 6 weeks... with my order i recieved keep it up, cool it off, and firm it up. which i guess are the after exercisies.. if u dont have those then just go back to RIU and BIU and do that with more intensity then u did when u 1st started.
i have gotten to the point where i can do BIU without stoppin the tape but it's still kickin my butt. so scooterchicken i second ur emotions. |

I just started Slim in 6 after having the DVDs for a week. I think it probably will work especially since I'm also focusing on my bad eating habits.
Day one = start it up - my arms were sore, I had to wuss out part way through and just step. Found the Stretching part after RTFM! Day two = stretching, then start it up...worked a bit better Day three = we'll see how motivated I am tonight after my regular aikido workout...I can at least get the stretching in. |

pie - gratz on the progress! ^_^b Well, I do not like BIU as well ^_^; especially since it stretches for a FULL one HOUR! ... Yeah, but gotta love the burn though. I like the stretching routine. I know it's not much, but it's simple enough and easy to remember that I use it for every single time I finish any workout. |

Well I think RIU is getting a bit too easy... maybe I'll start BIU a little early, and do it for 4 weeks... getting a little scared about everyone's comments about BIU... i hope it doesn't seem toooooooo long. RIU is 47 min, but it doesn't really feel like it cuz you're focusing on your excercises... i feel like i'm going through a mind roller coaster. one day i feel toned, the next i feel fat... am i crazy?? anyway, how is everyone doing with their progress??
scooterchicken... when you start to become more physically active, your body needs more food... food = fuel... so yes, you will start to notice you get hungrier more often, and you do tend to be able to eat more. don't get discouraged. just keep eating healthy things... also, your metabolism is increasing, so your body is burning your food a lot faster, making you hungrier sooner... that's what i've heard anyway... |

jenny - you are not alone. :) scooter - you work out more, so eat up! Make sure to eat up more protein. Nourish those muscles. That way you will get full and those extra calories will be put to use instead of sitting and becoming stored fat. |

Jenny - I totally feel like that. But regardless how crazy I am, other people a starting to notice that my size 10 no longer fits me as well as it use too (tight wise). I need to go shopping *tee hee*
Sweet - Yeah.. that one whole hour messes up me up. I'm going to try BIU today tomorrow and Friday. RIU is getting to easy.. even the silly leg lifts thingys. |

I just got back from vacation and didn't do RIU even though I took it with me. I did get alot of exercise though and stayed on track for the week and with my monthly visitor arriving tomorrow my scale shows the same as when I left. Given Auntie Flo leaving I should see a drop and back at BIU tomorrow night.
I have to unpack so I am not going to jump back in tonight and feel like I am cheating.... |

| well my stomach was hurting me today. I think I've been eating too many almonds as snacks lately. Anyway, so I got home and didn't work out, and i felt pissed off at myself all evening, so I absolutely have to start BIU tomorrow, if it kills me or not... No more nuts for me... sticking to fruit for snacks... | ||

| Hey everyone! I have to admit, I'm failing....but after reading everyone's posts I'm definitely motivated to get going again! After having the flu I've been having a hard time getting back into the swing of things, and to top it all off, I'm into my exam time at school which usually means I eat CRAP all day long!! So I'm really trying to NOT do that by having water with me all the time etc. and I think working out helps me stick with my diet too! I am supposed to be on my BIU weeks now which has added to my lack of motivation...It KILLS me but, as others have said, RIU is fairly easy for me. BUT...now that i've heard I'm not the only one with these problems I'm definitely motivated to get back at it!! I'm gonna do BIU today, tomorrow and the next day...I will complete this!! :) Thanks so much for posting everyone...you are my motivation!! :) | ||

| I'm getting ready to start my SI6, adding it to my twice daily Leslie Sansone walks, and am curious as to how many calories I might burn (5'5" and 183 lb). Thanks for any info. | ||

I did the SIU and it was killer with the ab crunches. But I managed to get through most of it and could feel it immediately in my abs. Enjoyed it though - okay, so I lie there, but I think I will enjoy it. Not as easy as Leslie Sansone, but more body work, which is what I need.
Still curious about how many calories I might be burning though, any help with that would be appreciated! |

| Checked out prices on HRM and they are pretty reasonable, so hope to pick one up tonight when we go to pick up our bikes from Dick's. Spouse swears he will start biking with me in the evenings. We will see. Thanks for the suggestion of the HRM, I never thought of that. | ||

erica - to be honest, I am so not diggin the background music on SI6 :p So, I chose the Music Off option, then crank up my own music. The SI6 routine is so basic that you really don't need theierir music specifically to do your workout, or any music at all for that matter. I made my own playlist that I keep changing just to keep me going through the workout. |

Well, I started on Sunday. The SIU & stretching, continued on with the same on Monday. Tuesday I had a killer aikido workout (1 hour plus apparently that's about 700 calories, yeah!), Wednesday I had an hour of a hip hop class (literally dripping wet after) and today I have aikido again. So Friday I'll be back to SIN6.
Eating properly seems to be key along with drinking a LOT of cold water. I'm at about a gallon a day and consuming between 1200 and 1500 calories, 1500 on the days with killer workouts. I am not hungry, except at meal and snack times! I can cheat a little without eating a box of chocolate, so I'm happy. Also close to PMS so we'll see how that goes. Eating breakfast seems to be hardest for me, but I've been doing oatmeal with raspberries and milk or a banana and a glass of milk. Morning snack time comes around again before I know it. Lunch and then afternoon snack. Dinner I'm a bit sketchier on since sometimes I'm eating a bit later if I exercise. Water all the time. I'm probably getting as much exercise from walking downstairs to the restroom. If this is dieting, I don't know why I've been so resistant! I feel great, I look better in the mirror, although, after only 4 days I don't know if there really is any effect. I won't weigh myself or take measurements more than once a week, so I've got 3 more days to go to see if there is really any weight loss. Even if there isn't, I'm going to keep doing it for at least another week. If I'm still not losing weight then I'll cut more calories and maybe ramp up the exercise. |
