| 140/130 club | ||

| Anyone in this grouping looking to drop from 140 to 130's. We can all use support. Today I am focusing on all the food groups. Exercise would be good, but I won't be able to since I am working from 9 to 10:30. A Super long day. I hope I can stay focused, when I pass the fast food chaines on my travels today. | ||

i've been feeling like crap today, but trying to turn it around! :)
Haven't been going to the gym the past couple weeks- wow, has it been that long? :( just got my period and yesturday was this never-ending-pit of hunger, and ate accordingly. along with the period comes general emotional upheaval, so i know i should really get to the gym just to feel better, let alone stay on track wtih my goals. was feeling like perhaps the jeans are feeling a bit snugger, hopefully just gym guilt, but then i bought some new bras (which i have been Desperate for for months, but wanted to lose the extra before spending $$$ on a temporary size) and i look 10lbs lighter! and sexxxy :) hootie mcboobety, holla. this weekend i have 6 old friends coming into town to stay at my house for st.patrick's weekend in chicago. really looking forward to it, but feeling tiny tinge of stress now w/ preparations :) things are strained at home right now, i'm just irritable in general i think, nick is working a TON, his friend is staying with us "temporarily," i'm bored with my job, etc. but spring is practically here on the up-side, and i NEED TO TRY V. HARD NOT TO EAT OUT MY FRUSTRATIONS!! i'm making a commitment here to go to the gym today!! |

Hi: yeah, I am looking to get down into the 130's. I haven't been there in a while. I am having some adjustment problems. Is it just me or didn't they used to say that 2,000 calories per day was acceptable for a woman and now its like 1200. I am in number shock right now. I feel like what am I going to eat and still get the vitamins I need! Does anyone else feel this way? |

| 1200 is the BARE minimum number of calories you should eat. Use the tools on this site to figure out the number of calories you are using each day, then go about 500-600 below that number. If your deficit is too great, you can lose muscle instead of fat. This is the slower way to lose weight, but the one way that is most likely to keep the weight from returning. | ||

Yay Dee :) here i am :) okay, so for those who dont know me, i have lost about 62 lbs to date.. i have been floating around 149 - 152 the last couple of weeks... last friday i hit 147, and swore i would be joining you all today :) hit 146 yesterday... ate some high sodium foods, thought i would be up a couple lbs in water weight cos i always gain when my sodium level is high (it was over 3000 mg yesterday)... BUT.. i only gained half a lb from it (146.5 this morning) so here i am :) and i am glad to be dragging one if not two of the 150s members with me :) messam where are you??? ~Brigitte~ |

Yay us! I am sooo stoked! I had a high sodium day too--and I feel it now! Bloated, yuck! So I had my 2 cups of coffee ( I have cut waayyy back on that) so now it's waterwaterwater! And the sun is shining today! How can you not feel good about that? |

well you also said you had some of ttom bloating tooo, so its all good :) and it was pouring here when i woke up haha... brrrr cold rain lol.. but i am stoked tooo..... i would of never thought i would be down to this weight.. on my own doing it... back when i was at 212 i seriously considered just getting fatter so they would consider me for gastric bypass... but i had a friend who did qualify for it, and got it.. and i am glad i didnt have to go through that to get to where i am :) i feel soooo good about myself having done it on my own :) with a little help from my friends :) yay.. ~Brigitte~ |

way to go bigboned!!! that's awesome!!! my normal weight (i'm a little high today, grrr) is just 3 measly pounds away from 140 but it just won't leave! oh well. give it another week and see what happens. carabo--don't worry abotu doing 10 mins every day. especially if you're just starting to work on abs. you're not supposed to work the same muscle group two days in a row, anyways. hey new ppl that i odn't know!!! :) glad to see you in here for good unicat and dj! i had a pretty bad weekend (little water, bad foods) but will be super duper good this week to make up for it! plus this weekend will be filled with insane amounts of alcohol--and i do NOT make good food choices when i'm drunk :) so hoping the scale dips back down the next couple of days! |

| yeah, I'm going to try and be very good this week to prepare for the weekend! A bar down the street from my apartment is have 99 cent breakfast on Saturday and I may have to be there!! Or maybe going to a different bar for breakfast.. called burgers n' beer n' breakfast...lol they used to be just burgers n' beer but then bought the little breakfast place next door. We'll see what happens! Lots of working out next week I'm sure! | ||

wow, so many posts this morning! Can you tell we're back at work, LOL!! carabo - good job starting on abs again!! if you're sore, i'd give it a day off of abs in between to let your muscles recover. srd - to fend off splurging on the weekends, i try to plan a big workout. like a long bike ride or a hike or play tennis. something i couldn't really pull off during the week and in the outdoors. this way, you're way to busy to be bad. also, doing all that makes you feel good and makes you wanna be good. and there's another plus, if you're bad afterwards, you've burnt off way more calories and then can get away with more! bigboned - contratulations!! So awesome - I hope to see that number on my scale as well one day soon! heather - I always feel so much better after going to the gym when I'm on my period. I don't feel as scrunched up and bloated once i do some cardio. Welcome to the 140s group djrizzo and unicat! Congratulations on moving on down!! |

You can do it hb... I totally understand where you're coming from.. that was about a week and a half ago for me! But then, thankfully, hormones/emotions/cravings settle down and you'll be ready to pick back up again..
I live in az, so the weather is getting so warm this time of year..it's HUGE insentive to want to keep on track with the gym..Im usually good about they gym during the week but then weekends come, and friends invite my partner and I for drinks.. which turns into dinner and drinx which turns into.. a whole lot of calories haha..I normally just go along with it but did pretty well this weekend with watching what I was eating/drinking.. got alittle off on Sunday but am feeling positive about today.. I really like how active this group is.. it's helpful to know that some peops out there don't get annoyed bout hearing this kinda stuff (my friends get on my case bout not eating the same things they do and I can't really talk to em about how well I did or did not stick to my 1200-1400 cals etc!) Hope everyone's having a great day.. and for those who arent.. hang in there! You can do it! |

hey lily--i totally hear you on the dinner and drinks thing :) i try to do gin and tonics cuz i think they're delicious and on the lower end of the calorie level. it's so exciting with all the new posters in this group cuz it's always towards the top now!!! it used to always get pushed WAAAAYYY down :( but yeah, ppl get tired about hearing about the diet :) but you need somewhere to vent and celebrate!!! |

thanks for the advice! I will try to get a hike in there somewhere! My boyfriend and I are having an "us" day tomorrow and going for a hike b/c it's supposed to be 60!! woohoo! I am also going to look for a new bicycle tomorrow, even more exciting! I'll try to go out on the weekend but it is supposed to be snowing!! :( Maybe my boyfriend and I can get dressed for the weather and go for a long hike on Sunday (depending on his hungoverness... lol) I'm hoping for a nice weekend and that it won't snow, then we can walk to the breakfast place! It's right around the corner! that would be awesome!
I agree with you kiigan, my boyfriend can only take so much of hearing about me wanting to eat healthy and exercise! |

I have SO fallen off the wagon!!! While I don't think I've gained any weight back... I have had too many times were I am unable to gauge the calories (going out to dinner, etc.) and then I go ahead and "splurrge" since the rest of the day is blown anyway. I am going to try hard to get back on track this week. I only have 6 pounds until my goal but it's happening so slowly that I feel myself giving up. My hubby is so supportive since he sees me working out every day and says I look better and stronger. It should motivate me right??? Doesn't help that I had wisdom tooth surgery, couldn't eat for 2 days and then MORE than made up for it over the weekend. I am on the downward slide! **SIGH!** Ok, here's to regaining my willpower. |

If I can't figure out my dinner, I go with half--only eat half, take the other home, then figure out the cals the best you can. Some big chain restaurants have their entrees listed online, so you can check out the cals in them. I know unicat shares her dinner with one of her kids--that way she doesn't have any leftovers!
