sarah:  what did your family think about your hair?  Can't wait to see pics.

ohh, I'm so HAPPY, and can you guess the reason?  haha.  Yes, my weight dropped.....FINALLY.

Used up my sour cream, but it was so good, and I did have this loss, so thinking of buying more.  It really took the bordeom out of my meals.

Maybe if I say this enough I'll actually do it one day...........tomorrow am going to a gym, for real this time.  Weather too bad to exercise outside.  Wind chill -10 today.
#462 getfitgirl Feb 10 2008 14:04
YAAA!! rachel so happy your weight dropped.  you deserve it.  Ive been weighing about the same hoping to drop 1lb by next thursday.  Ive been so good I might cry if it doesnt come off.  Hair doesnt look so good this morning.... sleeping on it = bad !!  Its kind of poofy... I dont like poofy LOL.  My kids like it but the hubby hasnt seen it yet I havent even told him yet.
#463 ohio45 Feb 10 2008 14:41
sarah:  thanks.  I was ready to cry yesterday.

Do you have a flat iron?  My hair isn't curly, but has a lot of wave and can get poofy also, if I don't use flat iron.
#464 sun123 Feb 10 2008 19:40
::wishes she didnt have to chemically process to get poofy hair instead of flat hair that lies on my head like a coat of paint::

Dancing for Rachael (Do the hustle, do the hustle) - Yeah!  Its spring down in TX.  Was cold enough in the house that crystal light in my water bottle wouldnt go bad overnight but this morn, yuck!  To nice inside :D!

I was ready to click on your photo link Sarah when I saw you would be getting to that posting soon.  Hubby will be surprised - are you happy with the cut, Sarah?  Glad to hear your doing well eating, especially know that your in the 150s - so cool!  I remember some 20 pounds back - must be feelling good.

Glad I have those original posts - time to get into some food alternatives since Im wearing thing on the few items that have worked til now.  Like the lite sour cream, just a few would really be a change.

Good eating to all other SBers and wishes to Angie & Kathryn.

sun:  pple always wants what they don't have.  My entire life I've heard hairdressers say they've never seen such thick hair.  I got it from my dad.  All I want is thin hair that hangs down nicely and doesn't bush out.  My sister has it too.  But not my kids.  Good luck with finding new recipes.

I've turned into a roasting fool.........am roasting asparagus........and cut up an onion and tossed in with it.  I'm really liking the different flavor roasting gives. yeah, I've been bored too.

Decided to fix more fajitas also.  I just can't get enough of them.  I know I'll eat them for weeks, then probably not fix them again for ages.

bee:  my Ketchup has 15 cal per TBL and 4 carbs.  The others can tell you.  (I'm a 'loose' S Beacher)

I've decided if I'm even close to my Valentines Day goal I'm buying myself a little box of those Valentines candy, with the words on them.

Anyone have special plans for Valentines Day and are you all wearing something red?
#468 hgielrehtaeh Feb 10 2008 22:48

I made some faux-jitas the other day:

Mmmm. Mexican food is my lifeline.

My 16 yr old and bf have celebrated every monthly anniversary.  He's her first real boyfriend and with Valentines Day being there 1 year anniversary, Im mostly peroccupied with what WONT be happening.

SB says no to ketchup due to its sugar contents and theyve a recipe but it only lasts a week in the fridge and I cant justify it as I barely use ketchup.  I imagine it taste fine, since splenda such a good sweetner.  I havent had need to use it - learned to eat eggs without it but I'd be okay with a little if I needed it.

My exercise is ridiclously overdue cleaning, minimal but hoping to get inspired enough to hit walmart for groceries too.  Dont remember if I mentioned it here but Sara Lee 45cal & Delightful (the actual name) bread - actually lists whole wheat flour first and really soft.  I dont do bread but a free coupon brought this home and didnt have any carb reaction from it.
#470 getfitgirl Feb 11 2008 11:49
good morning.  planning on a trip to the store also.  seems like Im out of everything. speaking of condomints I had BBQ  sauce yesterday on my chicken.  I honestly dont think it will break the plan but some people are super strict so SSHHH we will keep it a secret LOL. planning on doing a housecleaning  today to. with the kids home all weekend it really shows ....also out of cleaners.
#471 ohio45 Feb 11 2008 12:09
down another .5#, and didn't exercise yesterday, except for trying to keep warm.  Does "huddling" under blankets burn calories?  Too bad i don't have a sweetie and could do 'cuddling' to keep warm.

Today is the day.............I swear I am going to the gym if its the last thing I do today.

it's 4 degrees, so no walking.  I hate for my nose to be cold.

Boiled a dz eggs yesterday and am having egg whites with brown mustard for my snack today, which I like.

have a great day everyone.
#472 entersandlady Feb 11 2008 13:16
Hey sarah, cant wiat to see the new hair do!!  What did the hubby and the rest of the family think??

Rachel - enjoy the gym!!! you will enjoy it!!!

weekend was quiet.  Didnt get to see my bf as he went horse racing with some friends, so I'd a nice relaxing wkend.  when I came inito my office this morning - the heating was broken so I feel like an icicle (sp??...... you know what I mean!)!

Really hope this day goes quickly!!

I am going to a dreaded dr appt this morning > understatement.  There is nothing wrong with me though.  Going to my ob-gyn from 17 yrs ago.  During my pregnancy was the one time I ever made it into and thru a gyn exam (and I tried various things to help previously but all failed).  Hoping the saint of a dr is still as accomodating as he was then.  Its almost a phobic thing, like some people are with needles.  May sound stranger considering Ive given birth and during said exam, I was using my lamaze breathing.   That must sound strange too.

::puts fingers in ears:: La la la, la la la.  Been in denial til this morning and probably still am somewhat since I am heading over there in a few minutes.  I need some drugs!  If I dont make it thru, may see if I can be prescribed one and resched.  Or run from the building and never go back. Not sure.

Rachael, we should make a deal: you with the gym, me with the grocery store as Ive been postponing too long and my walking partners sick so still cleaning as exercise and dang its tough for me.  Congrats on sliding further down in weight!

Sarah, I left a message for Dr A about the BBQ sauce - its for your own good :P.  Gina - how cold is it inside?  I run little heat but none?  Yikers!

sun:  I feel the same at the gyn.  How could I get to this age and after giving birth, and all the viewing 'down there' by everyone, and so forth, that goes along with having a baby................and still HATE to go, undress and be poked.

guess I don't have any advice except.......do it, get it over.........then give yourself a treat!!!!!!

Yeah, I'm in for the making a deal.........heck, my gym is so small there may not be anyone there.  I just can't take that first step in there.

today......it's only 6 degrees, so not worth going outside and starting my car........so thats my excuse today.  And, even if its only .5 miles away...........it's too cold to walk.  Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.
#476 hgielrehtaeh Feb 11 2008 15:59

I eat enough veggies I don't have any problem getting fiber. But I guess if you have tried natural routes and you can't seem to get enough fiber, you can try to take Metamucil.

Maybe add it to your meals? Like put it in your cereal milk or something? Don't they have Fiber Sure that goes into anything you make. Also, SB Living now makes drink packets like Crystal Light that have 3 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber and only are 30 calories. The Tropical Breeze one is delicious.

Down 2# from last week, and still not hungry! Woot!

No way I could give up food for fiber pills.  I love to eat(gee I wonder how I got fat LOL).  I did get some motivation today.  If I lose 5 more pounds I will officially be at a healthy weight.  not my goal weight but in the normal range at least.  Hopfully I wont struggle with these five pounds like the last five.  It took me two months to get here.  darn holidays and food I cant resist.

Going back to get more hair cut off. I decided to get the back cut shorter.  right now its kind of mullet(sp?) looking and I dont like it unless its tucked behind my ears and theres not enough gel in the world to keep it there.

Hope you stay warm Rachel

You too GIna and you have to work in it  YUCK!!!

Jayne hope the obgyn appt goes well (think happy thoughts)
#479 hgielrehtaeh Feb 11 2008 19:05

Where are you Rachel? It was -2 when I woke up this morning! Brrrr! I have been working out at home to different videos because it's just too durn cold to be outside! I just wanna cuddle!!! Hahahah!

Bee, I'm glad you get enough! I think it's gross that some people refuse to eat right and feel they need to take in fake fiber. I really don't think what your mom is doing is healthy, but I'm no doctor, so who knows!!!

#480 sun123 Feb 11 2008 19:10
Back.  Part of writing it down here was trying to psyche myself up.  I made it through (although the nurses outside must have thought I was giving birth in there)  and though he was amazingly patient and worked with me, it was horrible but afterwards that I did it felt amazing.  Its those instruments I cant deal with.  So now thats 2x ever but I plan to go again next year again like I should.

Way to go Heather on your loss!  The appetite control sounds like its working for you :D.  Bee, I do generic metamucil soon as I wake up just to get it done.  You can sense it somewhat as filling but not as much as meal replacement.  I could see scheduling along with a meal that your most likely to feel hungry following it though.

Sarah, if you like it behind your ears, maybe hair clips or barettes to hold it back?
