Ive battled with my weight my whole life(if you want to know more you can check out my profile)and Im looking for people like me out there, close to my age who can relate to what I am going through. Im doing the 12 week exercise program and so far Im doing really good (just finished day 8)! I would love to get a group together to share progress and challenges and failures etc. Anyone?

ok, not a huge accomplishment but atleast its going in the right direction. The wedding Im in is next weekend. Thats not a lot of time at all. I wanted to loose another 10lbs by then but Ive only lost 3. Frown

So my next goal is to loose 20lbs by my birthday. Augest 7. 20lbs in 3 months I think thats doable. Time will tell I guess. Good luck this week everyone!

Nice work Brett and Kirsten! A loss is a loss, and although it might be a big as you hoped, at least it's going down.

I went and had my RMR tested on Wednesday, and basicially the woman that did the test told me that I slower I lose weight the better. I've been frustrated at how slowly I've been losing, but she said that it's better to lose slowly, so I guess that's good.

STill trying to regain control :-(

I'm up to about 147, however TTOM is coming up. I've started back working out, I run 2 miles to the gym now (first time on Friday and I like it) and then a do my weights, ab, exercises etc. I still haven't gotten control over this eating thing again, and it's really frustrating. I keep telling myself next week, but it hasn't happened yet, but maybe next for real this time. I've also changed my goal to just getting back down to my maintanace weight of 140.

To everyone still losing CONGRATS and keep it up. I'm hope I'll be losing next week.

still going strong. getting faster and faster on the treadmill at the gym. lifting much heavier weights than i ever thought possible. i just flat out feel good. i now officially have 50 pounds left until my goal. so we'll see how these 50 go. probably not as easy. i'm up for it.

147 Still, hoping to be a down a half or whole pound by friday. I'm gonna try to work out atleast 3 times this week and squeeze in an extra day on Saturday, we'll see.

nothing really new here. just sticking to the same thing. still feeling good. it recently got very very hot here in the bay area. so, i have been getting quite the workout at work. i wash big rigs. very hot and sweaty. i really can't wait to see the 220's. i've only been in the 220's for a few weeks since junior high. so hopefully that comes up here fairly quickly.

so i really hope to hear from more of you. i hope people are just forgetting to weigh in instead of quitting the site. come on people, make me proud!

I've been having a relapse with my medical condition lately, and haven't been able to work out. To top it off, I lost my willpower and I ate like a moose a few times this week. I'm going to the doctor next week, so hopefully we can get it worked out. Frown

 

Way to go Brett! And just so you know, all that heat you've been having in the bay area has migrated down here to the san diego area..I hope you hit the 220s soon!

woo hoo. the 220's are here. not without a struggle though. i actually got down to 230 last saturday and then proceeded to eat my brains out all weekend. on monday, i was back up to 235. so i did really good all week and worked out like crazy and i achieved the 220's. i am super happy about this. now, this weekend should be a real test. we have a bunch of friends coming to town which means eating, drinking, partying, etc. so i'll have to really try not to go out of control.

wish me luck. i might need it.

Haven't been able to do any activity suffered a grade 2 ankle sprain 3 wks ago and still limping it's been the most boring 3 wks of my life! any support helps!

hi everyone,

I just came across this forum.  Is it too late to join.  I've been with CC a while, but have finally put my food down and decided to make a change towards a more healthy lifestyle. 

I'm 24 years old and weight 140 lbs my goal is to reach 120lbs by end of July, which means i have to lost 2 lbs a week.

This means i have to move my butt, which is hard, with school,work and what little time is left i just want to veg in front of the TV.  I hope that we can help each other.

I plan to use either the 12 week plan or the self 2008 challenge, I've never done either I'm looking further into both tonight to see which will fit into my unbelievably busy schedule.

hey hey everyone!!  glad to see the regulars are still hanging around :)  my congratulations to kirsten, brett, jstone, amayou among others for keeping positive and for the progress everyone has made!

i've been "outta commission" with checking in (sorry brett, looks like you're very concerned for the well-being of this group, lol), practically been a lab rat for the last month or so, had a physical (blood work/x-rays/CT scans/paps and so on...) plus got my wisdom teeth pulled a week and a half ago, but it's all for my own peace of mind that i'm taking my body in the right direction with all this exercising and diet changing phenomenon, tried to keep up my gym attendance as much as possible during those times, so i've pretty much been in maintenance mode (VERY happy about that!!)

don't remember what my last posted weight was, so let's just start fresh, shall we?

this week:  158 lbs

now i'm about a week into training for a 5K i've got coming up in july, already ran my two 2 mile runs this week, awaiting a long run on sunday......my thighs are killing my already!!!  i hope i can do this *fingers crossed*

i am closely approaching my lowest weight since junior high. when i lost weight about 4 years ago, i got down to 223. so another 4 pounds and i will weigh less than i have since i was probably about 14. that really excites me. plus another 6 pounds and i will reach the 100 pounds lost mark. that will also be quite amazing.

Back on board is right! Ive eaten healthier this week than I have in probably the last month! And im exercising again which feels great. to my dismay i stepped on the scale and i gained 2 pounds. i drank a lot over the weekend though. Damn this nice weater. So Im upto 175 which sucks but I feel good and thats more important. Im hoping by next weigh day if I work hard enough and keep my drinking under control that Ill be under 170 FINALY!!! wish me luck and good luck to everyone. Good job Brett, youre my secret weapon.
