Well I'm officially thrilled! I've been watching what I've been eating since the beginning of the year, but today marks my 1 month anni of weighing in and using CC. I've lost 40 pounds so far this year and 16.6 pounds in my first month here on CC. Thanks for all the support ;O)

I wrote my first journal entry today to mark the occasion!

down 6 lbs this week, at 301 (almost there i can taste it) today has been hard so far, went to my friends baby shower (lots of food) and now im soposed to go to my buddys b-day bbq.. too much food..

Great to hear of your progress.  I got the Chilis lettuce wraps today as I sat across from my friend who ordered ... cheese nachos for lunch. Lordy did those things look good but I felt good leaving after having enjoyed the heck out of the wraps.

Ten days to make progress towards May 1st weigh-in which falls conveniently on my weighin Thursday morning.

Ive updated the OP, removing a few who have not updated since February but keeping those showing March and April.  Going forward will wait until 2 weigh ins are missed to remove a name.  My intent is to have the list represent active participants heading towards Jan 1 2009.

Qualified for a paid taste research Thu-Fri but luckily after my Thursday morning weigh in and a whole week prior to May 1st (yup, thats just a week away).  Besides its just taste test, not meal devouring tests.

Hoping we all get to see some progress from April 1 with the weigh-in next week.  If its not your month, theyre many to come this year but wishing you the best!

Welcome tracester and babudadu!  Ive sent PMs to your mailbox.  Please reply so I can get you set up with the rest of us.  Be prepared - we're going to keep losing through the year with healthier times ahead!

As far as joining tracester, I'll get you and babu on the original post after youve replied to my PM in your mailbox.  We actually like hearing from everyone as much as possible so whether its a weekly weigh in, or just how things are going, post whatever you'd like (within PG guidelines of course :P).

Come the first of each month, I will update our monthly weight listing in the OP so please remember to let us know that particularly.  We're starting the week countdown to May 1 - be good everyone, be strong and just keep doing your best :D.

I use a spreadsheet to do the math but typing it to this thread presents its own room for error and I appreciate the heads up, especially as the 1st of the month updates start coming in :D.

Will correct that and true 205 is down the road !

 
Tracester, thanks for your PM and youre now part of the list.  Hope to hear from you as we continue and wishing you much success!

Weighed in with a .4 lb loss which would be about right with my zigzagging losses (4.7 last week, 1 the prior, etc) but Im going to the clinic to weigh in again tomorrow.  Ive good reason to believe this was an off day and hope for at least 2 lbs.
Returned to clinic this morning and happily replaced yesterdays 328.4 with a 326.8, bumping that .4 loss up to an even 2 lbs.  Feeling great about the weekend already and next Thursday May 1 update.  Sending good thoughts to all for our last week home stretch :D!
well after a horrendous early April (gained 10 lb! Had a week with no exercise, and the seafood diet--I saw food, I ate it! Lots of simple carbs.), I'm back on track and down to 247! I've picked up the exercise adding in short (35 seconds, and I had to work myself up to that!) of running for every 5 minutes of walking for an hour.

For me, exercise is definitely key. I guess I feel like if I've gone through the effort, I don't want to mess it up by eating improperly.
Way to turn it around aovermy!  Even 35 seconds, doing that repeatedly during walking is great cardio considering walking is good in itself.

I redid a carpeting and scrubbed out a horrible litter box closet - took last night and this morning but all that bending was not only productive but hopefully some good calorie burning.  Another two pounds this week and so finding excuses to make it a good 1st weigh-in.
I'm getting discouraged. I am now officially off of prednisone, so I thought I would start to see a weight reduction, but so far, nothing. I thought it had gone down 5 pounds the other day, but the very next day, I found those 5 pounds again. :>(
It may be early Pam but just thinking going forward you dont have to deal with the weight side affect.  Hope it kicks in for you soon!
Thanks! I hope it does too. I guess when I look at the OP, I have had a weight loss since April 1, but that was when I finally lost all of that excess water weight. I just haven't lost any more since then. I am going to try something new starting tomorrow, and that is the JUDDD. Ever heard of it?
