Hello, I'm looking for others trying to lose a lot of weight, to keep each other motivated threw our bad days and cheer us on on our great days! to keep each other going threw out the week by staying in touch. I want people who want to reach there goal weight and wont quit tell we reach them! who's with me?!?!
I am 5'3 and weigh 217 pounds, my goal weight is 127lbs by May 30th of 209
Sarah~
=)
When I fractured my elbow in July, I did it on a business's property and they are paying for all my medical bills. It's been such a pain talking to their insurance company. Still.
I called school last week and they told me I got in and to sign up for classes. So I did. I called the transcripts people yesterday and she told me that I wasn't in their system as accepted. Now I'm freaking out as school starts in 3 weeks.
THEN, I find out there is probably something wrong with my gallbladder and that's what has been causing all my stomach pain. It's going to cost me $500 just to get the cat-scan and then if I have to get it removed, I lose at least a week of work and another $800 for the surgery.
I hate money.
*positive thoughts* *positive thoughts*
At least my weight loss is going slowly but surely in the correct direction. Or really, so I hope, because I can't weight myself until Friday and I haven't since last Sunday (8/4).
" Hugs" rebepi! Just returning the favor. Sorry to hear about all the stress in your life. Try deep breathing it does help. Do anything you can to relax. They will find you in the school system There is always a lot of mix up this time of year. ( Thanks for computers that make things soooo much easier. Ha! Ha!)
Congratulations on being accepted to school. What are you going for?
To bad about your gallbladder. I have been that route and IT IS painfull! Medical problems are so expensive. At lease they have found the problem and will be able to fix it. I can't imagine what it was like years ago before all the medical advances.
Keep counting your blessings! "Positive thoughts, positive thoughts"
Praying for you and hoping you get better.

I'm sorry about all the stress reb... that's horrible!
Gall bladder stuff is, unfortunately, very common with both weight loss and weight gain.
I had my gall bladder removed a few years back, too... actually the surgery is really easy... I was out shopping with my mom the day after, but expensive... yes.
Just a word of warning... I started having symptoms in November (they are much worse after a big meal... especially high fat)... but I kind of kept ignoring them... I had SEVERAL attacks and they got more and more violent. Ultimately I turned yellow in March... like a Simpsons character... I had jaundice because gall stones were blocking the ducts to my liver... I had pancreatitis... and my liver and kidneys were failing massive infections everywhere because I kept "putting it off." It SHOULD have been an out patient surgery... but instead I had to stay ni the hospital for a week BEFORE the surgery because of all the damage I had done... and it made it a WHOLE lot more expensive than it would have been if I had just DONE it.
About a year later... my dad heeded my warning when he was told he had gall stones, went in did the surgery on Thursday and was at work on Monday.
But I know what you mean about expense... and I'm sorry!
I hope everything works out ofr you.
I've heard that the gall bladder surgery is pretty easy now. So I'm crossing my fingers that if I have to get it taken out that I can just take like a 4 day vacation or something. (I work in an office, so it's not like I'm ever carrying anything).
I shouldn't complain. I really have it a lot easier than a lot of people and there's so much I should be grateful for. I'm just self absorbed sometimes. =)
SO: How has everyone's Tuesday been so far?? Anyone have anything good happen recently???
It's the first teacher workday and they gave me my supply check!!!! Woo Hoo!!
The other teachers out there... how's your fist day back going? (if today is your first day back, that is).
I'm sorry to hear of all the stress you are going threw I pray it will all work out for the better and soon. I will say a prayer for you.
hang in there ok
jessica, ohh money !! love when ya get to spend money thats not yours, seems more fun. I remember going supply shoping when I was a preschool teacher. I miss those days.
I went home for dinner and I stepped on the scale (at 5pm too!) and I'm down 2 pounds since Friday!!!!!!! I've lost 29.5 pounds thus far.
*does a happy dance*
See rebepi Things are looking better! Congratulations. "Do the Happy Dance"

I am another 200+ (although in my part of the world we work in kg - so in that sense I am in the 100+ club hehe)
I have been going for about 2 months and have lost about 22lbs, I figure slowly but surely.
Funnily enough I don't feel 200+ and am reasonably happy until I see a photo of myself lol but time to do something about it.
Some advice on how to document progress would be great. Weigh-ins are fine, but i don't feel different and therefore lose a little motivation, does anyone document through clothes size, photos etc?
Warm Regards,
Cailea
(from the land down under :))
I too, is in the 200+ category, height 5'4.
I just started my 'weight-loss regime' yesterday after I discovered this site. Have been wanting to shred those extra pounds/kilos since I was young but was too lazy and under motivated to do that. Somehow after reading some forum threads at this website made me make my mind to do so.
My goal weight is 138lb, targetted over the course of 1year (August 2008)
I did reached my target goal in year 2001, when I was an army recruit... but since I left the army and embarked on the desk bound job, my weight ballooned back to the 200+ category... haiz.
Let's work hard together :3

Thanks so much! It is difficult sometimes to know how well we are doing, hence thankful I found this site.
Checked your profile, well done to you too!!! Looks like we are in the 22lb club too..lol
*hugs*
Welcome cailea and nekorin ! Join in and tell us anything you feel you need to.
Glad you found us.
cailea- I think the best way to document progress is though pictures. Even if you don't like to see yourself you can see a difference as you lose. Sometimes when you are not losing weight we see a difference in inches or body size. If you wear the same clothes in every pic it is really noticeable

Rebei- I sure things will start looking up for you. And great job on the weight loss.
Well my weight went back down to what I was last week I guess the 3lbs was just water weight. Yesterday I avoided stress eating after talking to my "sperm donor" (that's what I call my son's father) Looks like my child support is going to stop again. I don't get much but everything helps. I wanted a bag of chips so bad after talking to him! But I resisted!
trapp32- Good for you! Stress eating is a hard thing for me. I probably would have grabbed the bag of potato chips and ate the whole thing! Ha! Ha!

Work has been the hardest part with everyone either ordering food or drinking soda or getting snacks from vending machine. It would be so bad but I work in a pretty small office. I'm glad that I'm doing so well. This sure isn't going to be easy.
Well I hope everyone is doing good. We can do this and we will feel much better. I have to say I've never felt so good. I feel so much healthier and can't wait to really get down in my weight!

Oops. Do you know if we have a team thread yet?
Anyway, hello to all the new people!!! Congrats on everyone's weight loss.
