| Anyone doing SLIM IN 6? | ||
| Jan 11 2007 16:13 | ||
| I found Slim in 6 to be great for toning, it is not dreadfully hard to do. I did the 6 weeks and found my self toned! I looked great, I did the Slim and Six pack daily too which made my abs look decent. I have not done this in about 2 years now but would love to start it again, that is if i can get my girls to nap at the same time! Anyone doing it, or about to start it? I am ready for the 6 week challenge. I am eager to start but fear not following through... I know it works! I have seen results firsthand! I need a buddy! | ||

| I did it about 3 times before I started RIU. Seems like it would be good to use to supplement other exercise too. | ||

| erica200 - I just want to start off by saying.. your quote is off the chain! *giggles* Chunky Dunk! LOVE IT.. I'm gonna have to use that someone how. But any hoo.. I was on SIU (Start it Up) for almost a week. Yeah.. and that burning sensation.. yeah I hated it for like 4 days, but you need to stick it out, because as soon as you do, RIU won't be as bad. I promise. ^_~. I worry about BIU. *cringes* But I feel right now in my 3rd week that RIU is beginning to feel like SIU, so it's about that time. *hugglez* HAVE FUN!! | ||

| I got my Slim in 6!!!! I started with Ramp It Up! cuz I don't nee an instructional video. I've been working out on and off for awhile now. I did it for the first time yesterday, and I can feel it. I was reading all the info and seeing the Before and After pictures and wondering if these people actually got these results in 6 weeks?? I'm pretty much following a strict diet as well from the first two tiers of the Michi ladder, so I'm hoping to get some amazing results. Good luck to me!!! How is everyone else doing with their Slim in 6?? | ||

Question: What do you do at the end of 6 weeks? Do you keep on with the BIU or is there something else you move on to? |

| I have SI6 and I am 6mos. post-partum. Reading these comments makes me want to pull them out and get started. I know for a fact that the Slim Series that follows SI6 works but it is STRENUOUS! However, is it cardio or strength(I need to know for the program I am using.) | ||

| Woooo!! Ramp It Up was harder today than yesterday... I think I was focusing more on everything. I actually broke into a bit of a sweat. It takes a lot for me to sweat, I'm cold all the time LOL Still feels great!! So excited about Cuba now!!! Trying to make those tricep flexes better... getting a painful pressure in my elbows when I raise them above my head to do the triceps... is anybody getting that?? Might be the blood rushing down my arm... who knows... I wanna hear about your workouts people!! | ||

| Hey Everyone! congrats to those that are still sticking with it and welcome to the new comers!! I'm sure you'll enjoy it! I've finished 3 weeks so far and should be in the middle of my fourth week right now, but unfortunately woke up with the flu on Monday and haven't been able to do much since then because I just started to be able to stomach some food today! So needless to say I've been exhausted! ...and still am but feel i can get back into the program tomorrow morning! I'm just not sure where I should start???? I had just completed all of my days of RIU so I'm thinking I'll start back in with one day of that and then go from there...hopefully start my 3 weeks of BIU after that first day of RIU! Wish me luck! :) | ||

Hi people! ^__^ It has been forever it seems since I got a chance to drop by forums. Seems like everyone is doing awesome! Keep it up! Oh, after you finished your 6 weeks (or whenever that is, since for some it will take longer than 6 weeks), then you can either alternate RIU - BIU or just keep on doing the BIU. If it starts to be less challenging, add on another routine. For me it is Turbo Jam. Others it is TaeBo or something else. All I know is that SI6 is a good kick start for your fitness level. After that you can take on anything! For Real! ^_^b Myself, trying to get back on routine after loose eating for a week, less sleep, and traveling a lot! Argh not mentioning at the end of the month I will be going again to attend a wedding weekend. BIU kick my butt again! Gona make an appointment with Debbie after work today and sweat my fat out! HAH! 17star17- somewhere in the mid of the thread someone posted that she burned about 300+ calories right up before the crunches. That said, different people burn diff amount, depending on your fitness level and gae, height, weight etc. When it gets less challenging that means you burn less calories. You can either up the intensity a bit using free weights/weight gloves while doing the workout. RIU is a great one to do when you use weight. It is a bit slower pace than BIU (When you holding weights your movements tends to be slower) and got a lot of arms movements with plies (you know the segment I am talking about) :) Good luck! |

| Hey Florence! Welcome! Congrats on starting SI6...It has definitely kept me motivated...this is the first time i've really stuck with an exercise program! yay! anyway, I did start it up for about 3 days (until I felt fairly comfortable and wasn't in a lot of pain the next day) and then started Ramp it Up for the remainder of my first 3 weeks on the program. I am now starting my 3 weeks of burn it up (my last 3 weeks...yay!) but honestly do what you feel is right for you! RIU was definitely getting easier at the end of the 3 weeks...i just hope BIU starts to get easier soon...whew!! haha So basically, SIU for 3 days, RIU for 18 and then BIU for 21 (these totals are including the 1 day off you get each week). Hope that helps! :) Good luck with it! | ||

hi Everyone...I haven't posted for a while. I ended up with the nasty flu didn't work out for 4 days last week...yes 4 days. Been back on the last two and it feels great. I've still been stuck on RIU - still feeling like it kicks my butt. I think this week hubby and I are going to alternate for a while with RIU/BIU - then stick with BIU for a while.
I've totally surrendered myself to the fact that this is not a 6 week program or a short term solution. Yah - we can go really fast and hard and get where you want to be but if you stop at that point, then you have to start all over again. This is definately a longer term thing for me. Rather than stressing about how i'm going to feel in the next week or 6 for that matter...i'm getting excited about how great i'm going to be NEXT year. Can you imagine after a full year of exercise? WOO HOO! Good luck to all this week. |

Shame on meeh for not postin' in like.. forever... *sighs* But good news.. I'm on week 4.. *does a little jig* Okay.. I haven't messured myself.. but I will like share that starting on my fourth week I am at 160.4.. WITH CLOTHES ON!!! *giggles to herself* That's hot considerin' I started out at 170.7. I couldn't belive it, because I weighed myself this morning.. and it said 160.7 and thought, *pish* yeah.. let's see what the day brings me.. and sure as poop before I indulged myself in some RIU, 160.4. TooOooOo happy. Okay, bad news.. I hate BIU. I hate it with a passion. It takes me more then an hour to get through that gosh darn work out.. but RIU has gotten to easy. *pouts* I'll get use to it.. maybe... but.. WOO HOO.. 10 POUNDS LIGHTER!! I'm sure happy at myself for even wakin' up super early in the morning for cardio at the gym. 45 mins on the elipicial non-stop.. sweatin' everywhere, but still healthy enough to go non-stop. I'm so happy that I'm healthy! |
