Bummer...can't work out like usual this morning...have to drop off a car at the shop with my husband and then have committments at my son's schools...

I hate getting off my routine...glad we have an elliptical...going to have to get on it tonight after the boy's hockey.

Goal today is to stick with 1200-1300 calories in case the workout doesn't happen....

Of course I woke up starving...going for the protien bar or the oatmeal...can't decide.

Good morning and have a great day all!

Congratulations joyrae!!! You're going to move on without us soon. Say hello to the 140s group for us.

I got rid of my binge pounds from last week. Yippee! The scale has said 156 for several days in a row. Now if I could just lose one or two more this week I'll be completely back on track. Setbacks sure are hard to overcome!

Why did the universe have to make it so that gaining a pound takes one day, but losing it takes a week? So unfair.

Away at a birthday party weekend for my niece and nephew. I was good last night...only 1/2 a grilled cheese, small bowl of soup and no seconds on anything and no beer or wine...have to be good tonight too....staying off the scale because tom is looming and we all know how depressing that can be... congrats heather...can't wait until i can move on and join you. congrats mrswuktisch...and i agree with you, the universe is not fair.

i will drink water today...i have to!

Good morning all!  I was a verrrry bad girl this weekend with eating out :p, so I get on the scale and I'm thinking "I am so not going to log my weight gain" and lo and behold, I am DOWN to 150.5!  I was in shock!

unicat-lots of sodium in your diet can make you retain water (which adds weight, not mass--there is a difference).  Make sure you are drinking your  H2O--remember, 1lb of weight is equal to 3500 cals--unless you ate 3500 cals over your normal, you did not gain body mass!

Patience is so difficult when your trying to do the right thing.  It will happen, it will just take us time!

I added a protein drink to my diet--just started today.  It is nasty, I will have you all know--lol! But I can't get enough protein through regular ways.  I already eat enough tuna a week to get brain damage from the mercury!

Have a great day all!
Dee

congrats mrswuktisch on getting rid of those binge lbs...

whoooohooo pooh on limiting yourself this weekend :)  and no beer or wine, yay :)

lol dee.. go figure the scale to drop on ya when you are least expecting it to :)

and i think you are right about the water weight.. i have limited my sodium the last couple days and the lbs seem to be droppping of as quickly as they jumped on :) down another lb this morning, putting me at 152 :)  i hope it was just water weight and thats whats coming off :)  plus maybe some excess fat to boot :) lol... i am also drinking a protein shake everyday, right after i workout...  slimfast high protein ...  its not bad.... lol..

drink lots of water guys, keep up the good work :)

Hello everyone, i am fairly new to the site, and also new to the 150s! :) I am currently at 159 hoping to make my way down all the way to the 130/120s club. I am pretty excited and motivated this week becasue my husband just informed me that for our 2nd anniversary (july 20th) we are going on a cruise! So that was just the kick start i needed. Now when i'm craving something i will ask myself does your cruise body want that piece of chocolate? and i will make my way to the apple instead:) Happy in life, and happy to be in the 150s club with you wonderful people.

Sylvia

I am also new to this site and haven't posted before now but I read many of the posts and find everyone so motivating.  When you "have cravings and ask yourself if your cruise body wants the chocolate", now that is something I need to start doing.  I'm in the 150's now but hoping to move into the 130s/120s by August.  Thank you all so much for the motivating posts - they really help keep me on track!!
#467 unicat Feb 20 2007 16:08
welcome smichelle and joanna :) this is a great group you are joining, and everyone hopes to rush you out the door to the 140s club :)  you made it here, you can keep up the good work :)

Welcome newbies!  Great job gettin here--I hope to boot myself out the door soon too! lol!

Did we talk about cellulite creams before?  I used to use Avon, and I am considering getting some again--it's pretty reasonable as far as butt creams go--and I don't expect miracles, but it is a pretty nice product--any comments?
#469 ltlmsmfft Feb 20 2007 16:34
Welcome new people!!!!  I just got back from a cold weekend in orlando.  Had tons of fun and did cheat a bit.  I totally overate and ate some foods I haven't had in a while like real eggs.  It's so hard when you are out of town and don't have a kitchen to make your own food.  I think I'm going to have to put a post in the food forums for tips related to eating all day in theme parks.....

djrizzo-  I don't know much about cellulite creams but, I can tell you that when I am doing lots of cardio the cellulite dissapears from my legs and umm rear end.  When I stop the "cottage cheese" effect takes over again!

I was using something like nivean?? or some name like that..  x10 something or another lol..  cant think right now.. haha..  but i used the firming lotion and a cream that you put on right before it..  and i felt like it was working, or at least helping...  the cream comes in like a white jar (a big flat one) and the lotion comes in one of those hand dispensers...  both together work great... i think.. lol..  (its not cheap though.. like 20 bucks for the cream or something?? )

so i just did 30 minutes of the biggest loser 2 workout..  and let me tell ya, i am soaking wet...  i didnt think i would feel that much in just 30 minutes...  whereas i am not sore (yet) i am soaking and my heart is pounding the way it should when you do cardio.. :)  and it felt good to do it with people from the actual show..  not skinny scrawny in shape people lol..  (although bob and kim lyons are REALLY in shape, i would love to be anywhere near what kim looks like, haha)...  so i am gonna see where this goes and how i feel tomorrow to do my tae bo lol..

ltlmsmfft glad you had fun :)

Did really well yesterday. Just over 1200 calories and I didn't feel deprived, which is really saying someting for me. Couldn't weigh myself this morning b/c I'm not able to get to the gym today, but I'm having a skinny day. That's what I call it when I wake up feeling thin. It's wonderful!

I'm thinking today will be good too - I'm so busy with work that I have no time to lay around at home. Hectic, but good for the diet.

Thanks unicat for all the encouragement. It really helps. What in the world the the biggest loser workout? I feel like I'm missing something here.
#474 djrizzo Feb 21 2007 14:56
Good morning all!  Skinny days are great--I hope everyone is feeling skinny today--think it, dream it, do it!

Hockey season just kills me!  going to a game is a guaranteed 4 beer night--at least I stayed away from the pizza!  If beer had some redeeming qualities, it wouldn't be so bad--but I might as well guzzle 4 colas!  Empty cals, yuck! :p

Goals for TODAY!!!
1. Drink enough water to float away

2. 30 min cardio and min 30 min upper body work

3.  Get to bed early--well rested equals more weight loss(and less snacking before bed)

Have a great day all!
Dee

mrswuktisch - congrats on feeling thin.. i love those days... biggest loser workout is basically a cardio workout :) and i am aching today from it lol...

dee- get those goals done today :)  you CAN do it :)

okay so no idea if i will be able to do my taebo today.. i am achy from the workout yesterday, but i am gonna try lol..  and my scale must love tricking me, cos this morning i weighed in at 150.5 (thats down a lb and a half from yesterday).... but i am not going to get excited about it, gonna keep watching that trend line (which is at 152.35 this morning).. maybe once IT hits 150 i will get excited lol...  cos we all know how my weight goes... it hits a nice number then bounces lol...  gonna keep doing what i have been doing though...  i am drinking a little bit more water then i was too... about 100 oz instead of 76+ .... along with cutting some of the sodium out and changing up my workout..  we will see where it gets me :)

hope everyone is having a wonderful day :)
Brigitte

Well my week and a half of half hearted exercise and cheating on food here and there hasn't hurt me any.  I've maintained at 156.6.  I just had to get on the scale this morning to see where I was at for some motivation.  I was shocked to see my weight hadn't gone up any!!!!  Maybe all that walking at the theme parks and swimming at the hotel helped out.  So today i'm back on track 100%.  My son's father has been staying with me till he can get back on his feet financially and has started to diet too.  It's kind of frustrating to see how fast he gets results like more muscle and loosing pounds overnight every night. grrrrrrr
#477 unicat Feb 21 2007 15:58
yeah my husband is like that too.. men just naturally seem to lose weight quicker... ugh...  dont let it discourage you :)  and yay on maintaining through all that :)
#478 carabo Feb 21 2007 16:56
My husband loses weight real quick too ! It is annoying..

Hope everyone is doing fine..

I'm @ 149.5 this morning and am not sure if I should move on to the 140s group yet.. :D.. Will wait till the end of this week just to be sure..

I bought size 10 nice stretch jeans yesterday and am going to officially stop wearing size 12.. When I wore my new jeans yesterday I was shocked to see how much better they fit than the size 12 I had resigned myself to. I hadnt planned to buy any clothes for the next couple of months so I wouldnt have too many oversized ones later - but Im glad I did it anyway!
#479 unicat Feb 21 2007 17:27
yay carbo on the 149.5  AND the size 10's whoohoooo :)  i only weigh one more lb then you... i think i will wait til my trend line goes into the 140's and stays there for a couple days lol..
#480 djrizzo Feb 21 2007 17:50
WTG on the size 10's carabo!  I remember when I first tried on an 8--I was in Old Navy and I couldn't believe it!  I kept spinning around posing in the mirror!  That moment when you see it with your own eyes that you are NOT resigned to a certain pants size is awesome!  It really has kept me motivated when I have days I don't do so well--I remember how I felt in that dressing room.
