I want to start a club for those of us who have a lot of pounds to lose.  Anyone interested?

I am so glad to have other people who are going through the same struggles that I am to talk to. I lost another pound this week, but I feel like I have worked so hard, and am a little disappointed that it was only one pound. I know that I should be happy with one pound.
Wow! That is strange hammo567... I was replying to your post at the same time you were posting... Well, as I said... Take it slowly... One pound is great. In a year you'll have lost 52 pounds at this rate. Isn't that better than gaining 52 pounds?
yesterday i weighed in at 199.8! I'm so exciteddddd!
Congrats Star for dropping below 200!!!  Woo Hoo!!!

Hangs streamers & purple balloons ~ tosses confetti :)
Thanks makambo! I needed to hear that I was ready to hit the chocolate wide open. I know that I can't give up, but I get so disappointed when I have worked so hard to only see the scales move one pound.
WAY TO GO STAR17! YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION TO ALL OF US WHO ARE STRIVING TO REACH THAT MARK.
hmmmm....308 at the moment...i got up to 319 but have lost 11 lbs in the last three weeks.  I am slowly but surely on a mission to get to 299 by the end of this month.

I am doing mini goals right now.  Instead of saying i need to lose 200 lbs i say i need to lose 20 , when i get to 299 i am going to treat myself to a nice dinner with family.

I will keep ya'll posted.
im currently 266 lbs , im using the gym 4 times a week and calories are between 900 and 1200 daily. i need to invest in some scales though. i havent weighed myself for 2 weeks lol. well done everyone though keep up the good work :D
I am so glad to have found this site. I have tried everything. I just gained 20 lbs after quiting WW 4 mo ago. At an alltime high of 270. I don't even know the pwrson in my mirror. I need all of the support I can get & you all sound like to people who can do it.

so Hello everyone & I hope to gain alot of friends here.
Kelly, do you mean you only eat 900-1200 calories daily, or that is your deficit?  Either way you might get more results if you eat more.  Because of my size, I burn so many calories a day that they amount they suggested I eat daily was leaving me with about a 1000 calorie deficit.  I stayed the same for 3 weeks.  I added about 200-250 calories a day and have lost 4 more pounds.
I am having a hard time eating the amount they suggest. I am supposed to eat around 1900 cals and I can only eat around 1600, not eating the junky bad stuff. I am burning around 2800 calories a day, according to this site (I have it set on sedindary and I put in my activities in the log). I am begining to wonder if I am going to have problems loosing. Also, I am having a problem with high sodium intake. Does anyone have an idea how to kick the diet coke habit? I am so glad I found a group that I fit in with, real people trying to loose weight the sane way. Thanks! Jenn
Hi Everyone,

Well I have some good news, I did my first weigh in this week, and I've dropped 7 lbs.  Although, I've been keeping track of my food and following CC suggestions I don't believe all the weight loss came from this, I believe some of it is from the stress I've been under lately.

No more said Stinky1, I understand why your wife gave you that name.  Like you I only weigh myself once a week, as your weight can fluctuate so much during the week, you can drive yourself crazy weighing yourself more.  It sounds like you are are doing all the right things though.  Keep up the good work.

Hammo567, you are doing good.  I agree with Makambo loosing 1 lb is far better than gaining 1lb.  Slow and steady wins the race.  DO NOT give up on yourself!  Remember we are all here to support each other.

CONGRATS Star! That is wonderful!  I can't remember the last time I was below 200 lbs, but on the bright side I am no longer 300 +, so that is a good thing.  I honestly believe that with the help and support from the 2 chat rooms I've joined and the support I am getting that I will make it this time.

What I can't beleive that it doesn't cost anything except some of our time.   CC is the best!!

Got to go now I've got to get ready for the work week.

Have a great Sunday afternoon everyone, and I'll talk to you soon.

Hi all, I lost 2 lbs. yesterday...I also went out and bought new jeans. I have not bought any for a long time. I am in 34's!! I have not seen that # since I have been in my 20's!! One thing I try not to do anymore is celebrate by going out to dinner. I used to do that, but I find myself feeling guilty after eating more than I should or eating something I regret after. I find the best way to "treat" myself if I have to is buy something for me, or do something just for me rather than going out to dinner. Maybe going to see a movie, renting a movie...no popcorn at the movies or anything like that either. I knew I was going to need new pants sometime, so I waited until I hit my under 250 goal, so when I did I got 2 pair of them.

I hope everyone had a good weekend. The weather here in OH is great took a bike ride with my son, it was almost 60 today and sunny, very nice. I also hope no one lost too much sleep with the time change.
CONGRATS TO LUCKILYEVIL AND STINKY1. I read the post all the time. You all are an inspiration to me.

thanks

C

230 here.  I can't believe I weight that much.  My highest ever.  I just started on Friday.  I certainly hope you are right stinky1, that it gets easier because this weekend was HARD.  I did learn one valuable lesson though.  I pick, and pick and pick.  My husband could never understand why I was so heavy because I really don't eat that much at meal time.  Well, now I know why!  I've already had a meal by the time I get to the table.  I am constantly tasting the food while I cook it.  I can't tell you how many times on Sat. and Sun, that I put the food in my mouth without even thinking. I would start to chew and go "OMG, not again, and spit it out."  So, I got a pack of lifesavers.  Who wants to taste mashed potatoes with a lifesaver in your mouth?  I was suprised it really worked.  I did however tell my husband that tonight he will be eating Pork, lima beans and curried rice.  (Three foods I hate!!)
Glad to hear that evryone is doing so good. I got married Friday and to celebrate we went out to eat. I ate way too much. I felt so sick after words don't know if it was because I ate too much or because of guilt. But I am not going to give up.

Mominpa something that works for me is chewing sugarless gum while cooking it will last longer than the lifesaver and you get the sensation of chewing.
Congrats Trapp!! I know what you mean about feeling full after eating so much, be there done that.

Mominpa-It took about a month on this to really fully understand how it works. Don't get me wrong, I still get cravings, but I still stick to my calories, if I eat it I count it. Otherwise it won't work. One thing I also do is if I make something I weigh it out and if there is enough for another serving I put it in a container put it away for the next day even before I eat my meal. That way it is cleaned up out of sight out of mind...little tricks like that. Practice, practice then it becomes habit. Much easier as time goes on.

I found something at the store the other day and I am hooked: Fiber One Bars. They new, taste like chewy granola bars, but have 140 calories, but they have 9 grams of fiber each!!
Hi mominpa!

Better be careful w/the lifesavers too! 10 calories per candy! :o  I try to stick to a wide assortment of sugarless gum. :)
