140/130 club
Anyone in this grouping looking to drop from 140 to 130's. We can all use support. Today I am focusing on all the food groups. Exercise would be good, but I won't be able to since I am working from 9 to 10:30. A Super long day. I hope I can stay focused, when I pass the fast food chaines on my travels today.
Way to go teenwolf! That is very exciting! I put on my smaller jeans the other day and they are still a little more snug than I'd prefer, but at least they didn't look like I was poured into them, or am pouring out of them! Now you can go shopping!! :)
I'm losing weight slowly too and I like it that way. It makes it feel like it's going to be more of a permanent change for me. If I was losing weight really fast I'd have the fear that I would gain it all back. I'm trying more to eat healthy and lose a little bit at a time. Also, if I cut back too much on my calories I end up binging on something... Whether it is healthy food or not, it still isn't healthy for me to be eating a large amount in one sitting!
That's a good idea for the workout schedule. I like that. I have class from 530-9 and I have to eat before I go to school. I only have about an hour in between work and school so I try to keep healthy leftovers on hand that I can pop in the microwave. It's working out well so far! Plus, my boyfriend and I eat salads like rabbits so we almost always have a large premade salad on hand so that makes meals a lot easier too! I usually try to have something healthy to snack on at school or right after. Usually fruit, a granola bar or a string cheese. It gives me a little extra energy for my workout. Sometimes if I eat too late, I have weird dreams though... lol. Probably my body hinting that I didn't give it enough time to digest :)
Well, I'm off for my busy, busy weekend! My weigh-in is Sunday and I'm aiming for 1lb less than last week! Wish me luck!!

also--anyone signed up for the ab challenge--carabo, i noticed you were--i'm making private journal entries posting my ab routines whenever i do them. if you'd like to be able to view them, just send me a message or leave a note in my journal or in this thread. that way you can make comments, suggest exercises to me, or use some of mine!
Teenwolf, those are some great veggie ideas.. I'm gonna try out the pre-mixing of fresh veggies.. Its so cool that you are making your own dressings !!
srd- best of luck for your weigh-in ! It looks like you are really busy ! That should count toward calorie expenditure Im sure :)..
Kiigan, I'd love to see your ab routines postings..I used to be pretty regular with them. Maybe I'll get back into that habit.

Hi everyone! I'm new to this site but this post seems great! I'm 24 and kind of in this range.. I'm at 149 and looking to get back down to 130-135.. In college I was up to 200.. got down to 132 last year.. and it seems the weight is creeping back (ok ok.. sweets and periods of non-motivation play a key role lol).. Anyway.. I seem to last 1-2 weeks at a time of good eating and exercise but then something throws me off track..My roomies/friends love great (though not great for you) food so will power is tough especially on 'bad' days..I understood and loved all of your posts and thought I'd give it a try, too..
Hmmm, debating not working out today...
I wouldn't feel so bad about it since i've worked out every day this week except that i know i'll end up breaking even today w/o working out and tomorrow i am going to go over.
BUT, some friends are getting together in the early evening and i really want to go!!! agh, dilemnas!

Welcome Lily and dyn! I've just joined too and I've been reading for about 3 days and already love the site and the support I'm getting! It's great!

lily--WOW! awesome job losing all that weight! that is absolutley amazing!!!! i put on about 20ish lbs in college and i think i've managed to get rid of just about all of 'em!!! so now i'm working on being even smaller than i was in high school! college is killer :( but welcome, hope you love the site! feel free to friend me or anyone--totally supportive.
wolf--don't sweat it. have fun, relax, get back on track next week. if you've worked out every single day, a couple maintenance (or over) days won't hurt you. might even be good for your metabolism! i mean, that's what i'm hoping for! so go have fun with your friends. it won't kill your diet :)

I know what you mean teenwolf...tonight there's a kegger party and so during the day I have to try to keep my calories lower so that I have a few hundred or so to spend tonight...I didn't want to workout but instead of my usual 9 workout, I did it this morning. Maybe switching your time would help that problem :)

So I ran 4 miles this morning and only had cereal, and the scale was 147 with shoes!!! That's probably just because it was early in the morning...so I'll wait a couple days to add it to my chart :)

quick question, how do you add that little weight ticker to your profile? I'm not much of an online chatter till now and I'm not sure how to do all that fancy stuff! :)

Srd - the community tab at the top of the page has a "ticker" tab. So on that after customising it to what you like: show/hide dates and so on- click on "get code". Copy the code ( ctrl +c ) that appears. Select "edit" on your profile and paste (ctrl +v) the copied code on your profile after selecting the show html tab (2 green v's forming a diamond shape ) ..
After you update your profile, by saving the changes- the ticker should show.
I've been having a pretty hectic weekend- hopefully will get time to do some crunches too!

Oh Srd, I just looked it up. When you click on "show code" and the code appears in the ticker page... Then just below the code window there is small print saying " add to calorie count profile" - if you click on that the ticker and any changes you make to it should be added to the profile immediately.

Hey everyone! I'd like to join!! I'm 21, 5'8" and am currently 143 lbs. My goal weight is 135. It seems soooo close, yet so unattainable!!

i'm hanging around 143 myself--but not seeming to get anywhere! :( boo. hopefully this week!
hope everyone's having a good weekend. i did a ton of exercise stuff yesterday--strength training in the AM, hit golf balls at the range, then went for a 1/2 hour jog. the best part--i have soreness in different parts of my body from each of the different exercises! LOL :) chest and arms from strength, back from golf, and legs from jogging. hahaha. go me :)

hello to all the new people, welcome! we're getting quite a group over here!
so, i didn't work out on friday and went out with friends (bad wolfie!), but had a really good time and went over my calories.
on saturday, where i thought i was gonna go over i didn't 'cause i did soooo much activity! i went to a TERRIBLE aerobics class in the morning that made me feel like i was in the twilight zone (not going back to that one again). then i rode my bike 30 minutes to the tennis courts where i played doubles for 3 hours then rode back. i was shocked at how much that adds up to! i pretty much had a ticket to do whatever the heck i wanted! ;)
also want to mention, everyone was having margaritas last night which are super high cals. i made an alternative margarita instead that only had 105 calories instead of normal 400 and it was delicious!! i was so happy with myself.
kiigan - awesome job working out so much!! Being sore is a good feeling of accomplishment! i think i'm gonna take today off from working out, my body is tired as well.

Does anyone have any advice for weekends? That's where I seem to completely lose it and any self-control I had during the week just disappears... 140.2 woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo o. the losing sure has slowed down the closer to goal weight but as long as its still going down, i'll be cool. i would have never imagined being on the verge of 130 anything last february. everyone out there.... it can be done! yay!
