This group is my effort to get support from everyone and get everyone that needs suppoort to help each other. So everyone thats in this boat thats around the 200s and is aiming to get down to the mid 100s (135-155) or less. Monday morning will be the group's official weigh in so that we can talk about progress and give support if people are having problems and not losing as much as they would like.

My 1 week weigh in was today. Is it bad that i took all my clothes off and made sure i had been to the toilet beforehand. ;-)

Anyway, here is my update.

June 19 SW: 201.8

CW: 194.4

GW: 136

HT: 5'6"

That's a loss of 7.4lbs!!! Yay!!

Although that has been helped by the fact that i was due my period last week and now that has been and gone. But i'm still happy with myself. My tummy feels less bloated and i am loving the kick i am getting out of exercise. Although it is taking some getting used to being this heavy and doing exercise. When i last really got in to working out i was about 140. I think i just have to remember not to be too hard on myself and reliase that it is gonna take time to get my fitness back.

But i'm happy!! I feel healthy and positive that the only way is down!! PS. I know monday is the official weigh in and i will weigh in on Mondays from now on, but i just had to get my first week out the way!! :-)

Do you have too many people to add one more?  I really would like to have some friends to help me stay motivated!  I have been losing--I'm down almost 11 pounds since I started this.  I haven't been strict about entering stuff in, but I think I would be if I had some pals in this.  Please add me if you have room for another--I weighed in at 202.2 this morning and I would reaaaaaally like to see 150 before I turn 36.  (I'm 34 right now)

You can definately hit 150lb Marceleric. We both can. I love this place. Other people's success stories are just what i need to push me on.

Thanks kim79my!  I do too!  It is so good to be able to read about other's successes as well as their struggles and know that you aren't alone!

Hi, gang.  It's been a LONG time since I last posted.  Be assured that I'm still here and still on my journey.  I've come a long way and it indeed has been a true lifestyle change.

I'm down to my last 30 pounds and the weight is coming off very slowly now.  I'm still at 1,200-1,400 calories per day and have beefed up my exercise routine.  I took the advice of some fellow cc'ers to increase my calorie intake but it didn't work for me.  I posted new pics today and when I look at them, I have to wonder how much of that 30 pounds is muscle, loose skin or water weight.  I definitely have more weight to lose in my legs (I'm a classic pear shape).  CC has been a wonderful outlet for me for sharing my ups and downs and for getting some great advice and motivation.

Wish me luck as I work toward getting rid of the last 30!!!

SW:  400 lbs (August 1, 2006)
GW:  155 lbs (would love to shoot for 145 but 155 is more realist!)
CW:  185 lbs
Lost to-date:  215 lbs
HT:  5'7"

Hi KK!  I've been posting here as well.

Starting Weight: 234

Goal Weight: 153

Last Week: 211

Current Weight: 210

Weight Remaining Until Goal: 57

Medium frame, 5' 8"

I kept a record for June and lost a total of -5 lbs and 3.5 inches.

I'm channeling the competitive me and training for my first sprint triathlon, I might end up walking the run but just so I finish.  I've been injury prone in June so trying to exercise smart and build in recovery days.

Okay, finally made it to week 2!! And the results are.....

June 19 SW: 201.8

Last week: 194.4

Current weight: 190.2

Goal weight: 136

HT: 5'6"

So for the week that's a loss of 4.2lbs!! :-)

I'm feeling really good about my life change and enjoying feeling less bloated and stodgy. It gets hard some times cause i just want it to fall off over night, but just got to work through that.

Here's to the 180s....

Hi All, can I join to?

I started out at 250lb, and have lost 60lb over the past 18 months, and I am hoping to get to 130lb eventually.  My next goal is 180lb which will take me out of the 'obese' category into just 'over weight'.

So its Monday afternoon (sorry had a sleep in) and here is my update.

Height: 5ft 6in

Start Weight :250lb, 115kg

Current Weight: 189lb, 86.2kg

Weight loss: 61lb, 28.8kg

Weight loss this week: 300g

I have had a bad few weeks, unable to tolerate anything, and only managing about 400 calories a day.  I am starting to feel better now, I was able to have about 1200 calories yesterday, and I hope to be back on track today.  I still have no energy, but I hope to be able to make it back to the gym in the next few days.  I have surgery coming up in just over two weeks, my original goal was to be under 90kg, and as I past that a few weeks ago, I would like to see if I can make it to 85kg or under.  Wish me luck!

4th of July weekend was tricky but it turned out as a wash for me.  I stayed the same in spite of splurging on a couple of ribs.  :)

#456 spankyraven Jul 15 2008 07:21

Well I was feeling bad because I forgot to weight in yesterday, but it seems no one else has yet!

Start Weight: 250lb

Current Weight: 187lb

Weight loss: 63lb

Weight loss this week 600g

I weighed myself last night, I know I weigh myself to much, and I was 86kg then, I was not hoping for much, but I really want to be in the 85's for my surgery next week.  I was so shocked to see the scale settle on 85.4kg! some how in the last 24 hours 600grams of fat has evaporated!

#457 amheffron Jul 15 2008 08:45

is it too late to join? I am at 212 right now and my goal is 130.

Down another 1.3 lbs. this week -- sorry I'm late on my weigh-in.

#460 skkymom Jul 16 2008 05:55

I'm in...if it's not too late to join! 29 and 225lbs. I starting calorie counting a week ago and am down 10lbs. This is really difficult for me - I'm heavier now than I was at 9mos pregnant! I'm doing well with making the right lifestyle changes so far as food goes (just having a bit of trouble completely giving up the dr. peppers) but can't seem to get into the swing of working out. I always feel like the fat girl at the gym and don't really know where to start. I guess just showing up would be the first step. I'm ready for the Monday weight in and all the support we can give each other.

Starting weight : 235

Current weight: 225

Goal Weight: 145
