130/120 Club?
I'm looking for a 130/120 club, but I don't see any topics started.
If anyone knows of the proper topic, would you mind letting me know?
Thank you :)

Sorry I haven't been around lately. But I'm back. It's great to see all of the 'newbies'. It's nice to have the group back in the double digits! I guess most of the last group of 130/120's have all fell out of the 120's. That's great. Good luck to the new batch. I wish you all lots of success!
Wow, this is exactly the kind of group I was looking for! Is it ongoing? (ie, can I join or is it too late?)
I am 5'4'' and small framed. I weigh 132 lbs. Ideally I would love to be 114-115 lbs, but for now my goal is: end of summer: 122 lbs. I think I can do it. That gives me 2 months to lose 10 lbs - is that a reasonable goal? Last fall I was down to 128 consistently (126 after I got sick - not the way I want to do it!) but this spring I bounced back up to 132 and have not moved.
More than the weight though, I would like to be toned and trim - even if the scale never moved and I was 132 forever, but had a firm stomach and arms and no excess flab, I would be happy. So... if I reach that goal without getting to 114 that's totally fine with me. The most I ever weighed was last year (147 lbs!). I worked as a nanny and snacked ALL the time - horrible food. Snacks will kill you. The worst ones are the ones that try to pretend they're healthy, like granola bars. It turns out there were more calories in one of those almond or peanut butter (yummy!) "healthy" granola bars than in the kids chocolate-covered Dipps bars. Yikes. I don't ever, ever want to weigh 147 again - it was NOT healthy for me.
So... to recap:
age: 24
height: 5'4''
weight: 132 lbs
end-of-summer goal: 122 lbs
ultimate goal? 114 lbs (?)
I will officially "weigh in" on Wednesday :)

Don't get too impressed yet -- I've only been at it 2 months... but I'm trying to make it a lifestyle (which is only possible b/c my husband is on the same diet.) Good call on my fat intake lizsteichen --I had just become aware of the fact it was too low last week and have since increased my fat. I sometimes eat more yolks, I have been cooking my evening protein in olive oil and I put oil on my veggies and have eating 1% cottage cheese instead of nonfat, the omega3 is also a supply of good fats.
Ooo I fogot about pickles they rock, lots of flavor for 10 calories.
I used to eat those NV trail bars (for years they were my breakfast) -- they are good... but since I'm trying to build muscle and have become really conscious of getting enough protein so I switched to the homemade ones (more protein).
I sympathize with your evening cravings, Sunday evening (after 8) I just want chocolate or a big hunk of PB so bad.. why is that? then monday I'm fine but the weekend is so hard... I have a scheduled "cheat meal" every Friday either buttery popcorn, chocolate sometimes pizza this makes me feel guilty enough to be good during the week but this weekend a second cheat happened on sunday nite -- I had a BIG glass of choclate milk at like 9:30 pm :( it was really good though. I had turned down a big piece of chocolate cake earlier that day and I guess never really got over it and still wanted chocolate. oh well back on the band wagon today...
July 7th will be my last scheduled cheat then my husband and I are supposed to "go clean" until August 7th. We are going to Mexico with the family -- I just visualize my butt in a bikini for motivation.

stokesreagan: It's nice to hear from you. How is your summer going? Are you still losing? Liz
wednesday weigh in:130.6
I know it looks bad (only down 0.2) but it IS going down and my weight training is still improving by leaps and bounds -- so I'm actually quite happy. In case I never clearly stated this before, my goal is a total body recomposition, I've been fat-skinny before and I do not want that again. So I'm sticking with my program...slow and steady wins the race.

Wednesday weigh in: 131.6 (from yesterday). I'm house-sitting right now, so I've been eating badly today (yikes!). My mom left behind one of her famous cheeseballs (ohhhh so good) and a Lindt orange chocolate bar. Tomorrow I will take the dogs for a long walk, hopefully that will help a LITTLE bit at least :)
Good luck everyone!
Keep up the good fight :)

sorry jainasolo - did not get your stats in time. And you did SO well. I'll update you next week. Weigh in is Wednesdays. Keep up the good work.
Hi Ladies,
I'm new and have been dying to find something like this. No one understands when you're not fat but still want to lose a few pounds. I am currently at 137 pounds and it's killing me! I maintained 126-128 lbs for a few years until I had a running injury and had to cut back on the amount of miles I was run.
I need advice on how to lose those last 10 (or so) pounds. I would love to be a part of the support I see in these posts. I eat pretty healthy--whole grains, fruits, veggies and water. I need help and would love any input you have--I see many of you have been successful and are losing. Yeah!

oo i need this club! i'm now at the highest weight i've ever been... 129 (as of father's day) i don't own a scale.. i do plan on buying one, but i have to go without for a few weeks.
i eat terrible and it's caught up to me.. i even own a deepfryer, and use it almost daily.. i work from home so i don't really move around a lot, and on somedays i really don't have a lot of time to do anything but work. NONE of my old clothes fit and it really makes me sad :( (my fat has gone mostly to my tummy and you can see it a bit on my face/thighs as well)
i'm 22, 5'6 and small frame.
i'd like to be 110lbs as soon as it's physically (in a healthy way) possible. but i don't know where to start.... my bf and i have a shopping budget of about $40 a week for food.. so figure $20 of that is mine every week. is it even possible to eat healthy on $20 a week? all the healthy food is so expensive :(
help me out girls, where do i start.. my next shopping day is monday and i really want to get this going!
ps... i have no idea how to cook lol.. and i'm very stressed all the time if that matters at all =(

wow great job liz and jainasolo! I was looking back on your weigh in stats liz and you have been really consistent and have lost a lot at a very good rate (I just wanted to say I am impressed).
As for Jainasolo, I'm impressed by your loss but you appear to be lossing a lot fast (maybe too much? too fast?) I don't know how tall you are but I've always heard if you are lossing more than 1-2# per weeek you are losing lean body mass (which you want to keep) and this is why people often gain back their weight after stopping a diet. (Lean body mass=lean mean fat burning machine) I don't want to take away from your success but I also want to make sure you are losing in a healthy fashion.
angeling- I never have time to cook (I'm in grad school) and have a limitted budget (grad school again) but with cosco, winco and a freezer to store your bulk food items it is possible. I also make buying good food a priority over say Cds and going to the movies, I also ride my bike a lot and walk to the store -- this saves gas leaving more money for healthy food and burns calories, a win, win. If you want to see what I eat on a typical day -- I list it a few pages back. My diet is one of the more expensive ones you can choose, very protein rich but emphasizing beans, oat bran, eggs, milk and cottage cheese for protein source over soy burgers, pork and steak can help. Whey is expensive but lasts forever so the up front investment is worth it.

Hi, I would like to join this group. I was in 140/130 club before and feel good that I could be in 130/120 now. As today I am 5'5'', 137.5lb. I lost almost 20 lb starting last summer. My goal is 125lb. I lose weight very slow, but I don't mind as long as I keep losing and stay healthy. I hope I can reach my goal before Feb. next year.
purple_cloud congrats on the 20lbs so far, keep it up.
gretamarie: do you have any particular Q, diet, exercise? what are you doing now? or plan to do?
BTW: if any of you like Tang (which I love) crystal light's orange drink tastes just like it -- very good and only 10 calories. I have been really missing orange juice and thought I'd give C.L. another try (never liked it before) and whadya know? it is yummy (at least the orange is).

Mainly it's because my digestive problems are flaring up again (they do this every few months) and are particularly bad this time, so it's limiting what I can eat and how much. Jury's still out on whether one of my gallstones is giving me issues or if it's ulcers, but either way, my food choices are very limited as are the amounts. I'm hoping it's "just" ulcers so he can start me on medication on Monday and get the problem taken care of.
fair enough. here is hoping for ulcers??? :)
angeling - I feel for you. When I was younger, my food budget was always tight, but I agree, you really have to do something. First of all, get rid of the deep fryer, a baked potato (sweet potato is even better) has a lot less calories and is healthier. You probalby cannot buy a lot of meat so you have to substitute with beans and eggs. You can make a tasty black bean chile with mainly canned ingredients: 1 can of black beans, 1 can of red or white beans, 1 can of zesty Del Monte tomatoes, some frozen or fresh corn and a spritz of lime or lemon and some celantro of parsely (optional). Saute 1 onion, add all the above ingredients, salt and pepper to taste. Cook only with olive oil, dont use butter or margarine, buy fresh corn, tomatoes, cucumbers and melons. Is there any way you can get a little more than $20 towards you food by giving up something else. Look online to see if you can get cheap, simple recipes that don't require much experience. You can do it!
Also, you don't need to go on some crazy exercise program, just walk: 1/2 hr daily....even if you don't like it. You are going to lose faster if you move. It also greatly releaves stress. Good luck!
