Bummer...can't work out like usual this morning...have to drop off a car at the shop with my husband and then have committments at my son's schools...
I hate getting off my routine...glad we have an elliptical...going to have to get on it tonight after the boy's hockey.
Goal today is to stick with 1200-1300 calories in case the workout doesn't happen....
Of course I woke up starving...going for the protien bar or the oatmeal...can't decide.

dj..wtg on the exercise
ltlmsmfft...going to lie on the beach or by the pool...take in the free spa treatment (getting a hot stone massage) and take some nice long walks...as long as i see the sun and the ocean i will be content, but thanks!
no exercise today...had to bring my car in which is having some major issues unfortunately. I'm driving around a rental...my 5 yr old thought that was exciting...stay motivated all...when you are, it helps me! good luck w/the weekends everyone.

unicat- don't feel too bad about not exercising today. remember i was sick last week and had to stay grounded for a few days. the best advice is to avoid the scale for one full week after you recover. you don't want to punish yourself for being sick :) take care.
Ummm - I didn't exactly stay away from the pizza, but I only ate two squares (that's how the pizza was cut)! I could've eaten 5 or 6, so I thought I was doing a pretty good job. Filled up on some salad.

lol.. welllll..... i forced myself to do my taebo... i just cant stand the idea of seeing my hard work go down the drain.. and i feel better for it.. went to sams club and picked up some yogurt, some activia, and some more veggies for my salads... i just dont understand why my weight went up a whole lb from yesterday to this morning... :( its kinda frustrating... especially since the day before i hadnt lost any... but it seems like i do that occassionally so hopefully it will start dropping again.. :)

Thanks ltlmsmfft.. I too hope its muscle growing or something like that. I start a second week on 150.5 today.
Its so hard to stay patient and keep within calorie goals + regular working out if you dont see results..
I ran 4 miles yesterday.. Yay! Hope to run some more today.

scale is being kinder today...still at 157.6...but whatcha gonna do except keep trying, right? Just had some egg beaters and veggies with a drop of cheese. All my boys didn't want to eat leftovers or the fish i bought to grill last night and dragged me to the nice italian restaurant...bahhhhh....they trying to keep me fluffy, i think. I ordered a salad, ate one piece of foccacia, one small piece of garlic bread and a slice of pizza. Hubby ordered me a glass of wine, which I was going to pass on, but didn't. I then came home and went to bed before I went crazy with the valentine candy. I don't care what they say...I'm cooking the fish tonight! I ate substantially less than I normally would've, so I am proud of that little accomplishment. I also would've come home and had more wine...so yippee for me.

carabo...stick with it...i am...despite the frustration of the up and down scale. it's got to start melting one day....i hope. patience is a virtue, you know.

okay i am officially freaking out.... i am up ANOTHER lb this morning... that makes two lbs in two days... (putting me at 153.5) i dont understand whats going on... help?? anyone??
ok, so the good news is I think I finally broke my plateau, I had a couple of free days, upped my protien and changed up my workout routine...oh and I upped my overall calorie intake by 100-200, so instead of 13-1400, its know 15-1600. so that is the good news...woohooo.
the bad news is that I am getting close to ttom and my free days have set me off into a wild tangent of free days...:(...hopefully I can get back on track

Unicat : are you around that time of the month ? I always have a horrid time during that one week around my monthly period. Do keep at it! Surely you should see a difference if you are doing the right thing.
I'm pleased to announce that I'm finally at 149.5 as of this morning :D (after almost 10 days I think, of being stuck at 150.5). I'm not celebrating as yet - lets see how the next couple of days go.

carabo - as far as i know i am not near that time of the month, but i have had that time of the month since mid august.. soooooo..... congrats on breaking 150 :)
I, on the other hand, will be here in the 150s a while yet, i think :( i thought i was soooooooo close being at 151.5 the other morning.. and then all this... and to top it off we went out to dinner at outback steakhouse tonight... and my daughter has been sharing my food when we go out to eat lately, and chose tonight not to... so i wound up eating it all ... ugh... i am sure it will show in the morning :( i am sooo depressed... all i can think is that i did all that hard work.. just to have it fly back up again.. :( oh well. i guess we will see in the morning ...

well, only gained a half a lb from my dinner lastnight... guess i should be happy about that... i think that puts me up 2.5 lbs gained back for the week, and also makes it a total of half a lb gained in the last week... :( oh well, back on the wagon, and hopefully with some better idea of what to do about this... gonna do my ddr this morning.. but i also picked up "the biggest loser workout dvd" yesterday at the mall.... am wondering if its any good.... think i will do it on tuesday and thursday instead of ddr... we will see....

okay so maybe i did something right yesterday, or my scale is playing with me.... lol.. i lost a lb :) i had 1301 calories yesterday (which seems to be my average), but my sodium was only 2100 instead of the 2500 - 2900 it has been lately.. and i got 30 grams of fiber, lol.. so not gonna get excited over the lb lost, but hey if it keeps going down, thats fine with me :) also, funny, my trend line met up with my weight line this morning... first time...

I'm back to 150 lbs :D.. but I've had a great weekend.
Hiked for a large part of saturday and walked around a mall looking for much needed new shoes on sunday. LOTS of walking. I'm expecting that since my muscles are sore - they are probably also a bit swollen.
Pretty healthy eating, within limits too - which was especially hard after walking for 4-5 hours each day.
Feeling pretty good altogether..

Ok, I had a baaaaaaad food weekend, but I'm back on track today. UGH. I'm afraid to even come close to the scale. The weekends are the worst. I don't feel like cooking, and take out just screams my name. BLAH!
I have been at 149 for a few days now, so I hope it sticks around. I have been good with working out and eating better, and drinking lots of water. I need to start going to bed earlier though!!
