This morning's weigh-in: 232.8 lbs

Thankfully I got rid of those pounds that I gained while on "vacation" from counting lol. Laughing

Just a little over 13 lbs to go before I reach the "100 lb lost" mark!!

When I get down as small as you Slainna, I think I'll look up everyone who knew me at that size. Ive thought of going back up north and 'meeting' old friends Ive located and email online. Not to mention those who've seen me at my heaviest and will be happy to see Im taking care of myself....finally!

Clean weekend, hardcore cleaning and activity does seem to show up on the scales so being hopeful for my Thursday weighin.

Wow, you just called me small! I never thought I'd hear that. Ever. :)

I know how you feel, though. My parents haven't seen me since I was 325 pounds, so they will be shocked. Even my future mother-in-law is shocked and she sees me every so often.

Not letting the curiosity get the best of you and weighing early? I weigh myself every day.

I know, it's crazy, sun! I haven't been this small since I was 18. Still a ways to go though. Unfortunately, I got rid of all my "thin" clothes a few years ago. I guess that's okay though, since my tastes have changed quite a bit. The bad part is I'm having a little bit of saggy skin. It depresses me since I'm only 24, but it's to be expected with 131 pounds of weight loss. I hope I can get rid of it so I'll look good in a bikini! They say lifting weights helps a lot.

Grats on your weight loss! I would tear apart my closet, but I'm in a wheelchair atm from a broken pelvis :(

I know what you girls are talking about. Down 170 pounds, I haven't weighed this since I was in Jr. high, at that time I had to buy husky clothes, sweat pants, and couldn't wear all the cute outfits. The other day, I bought MEDIUMS off the clearance rack at K-Mart! I could hear the angels singing over the loud speaker!LOL I was there to return some shorts I bought b/c when I tried them on at home they were too big Surprised! I have never had this problem before! I'm not shopping in the plus size anymore! It is kind of sureal, everyday I wake up and I'm still skinny. That is enough motivation right there, after being fat all my life.

I am also having the problems with saggy skin slainna:( Now when I shop for clothes I have to make sure the sleeves are long enough:( You know the styles short and cute. BlaHHHHHH ! But I would deffinatly rather be skinny than fat, life is so much easier now, only 32 here. I can fit in the seats, I get through a turn style, (can't wait for the fair to fit on the rides), my feet don't hurt, my back doesn't hurt, etc, etc, etc. Jody:)

I was so afraid my boyfriend would be repulsed by my saggy skin, honestly. He's nicer than that but years of ridicule for my weight destroyed most of my faith in humanity. He really put it in perspective though. I've lost 130 pounds and expect not to be saggy? That's crazy talk! Maybe I should start referring to it as my "battle scars", since it really has been a battle.

Wow a medium? I can't wait till I can grab my own mediums off the rack! :) I guess the long sleeves won't be such a problem for me though since I'm always cold due to the massive weight loss and (suspected) hypothyroidism. I literally am 95-97 degrees when I wake. When I was in the hospital, the doctors got very worried until I told them it was normal for me, and I have been that way for years.

If you don't mind my asking what was your starting weight and what are you at now?

Happy to be weighing in tomorrow.  Every Thursday when I leave the clinic, Im counting down to the following Thursday.

Your bf sound like a loving guy slainna!  I knew going from 465 to 175 there would be skin issues but whatever - I'll deal with them and pretty convinced surgery will be involved with or without insurance.  I got a lifetime in this body so either way, the investment will be worth it (but still rooting for WITH insurance).

But there still is so much we can do with wardrobe and still flatter our decreasing sizes.  Giving thanks for clothes options that open up through this - "It looks good" is so much better then "At least it fits".

Hiya everyone, just found this site this week and only found this group today.  Congratulations to you all you're doing a fantastic job.  Your success stories have given me incentive to begin this long journey.  Would love to have your support along the way.

Started on out on Monday weighing in at 315.6 and my suggested goal is 139.4 thats 176.2 lbs to loose!  At this moment in time I am looking forward to being under 300 lbs. So glad I found you Lisa x Laughing

Welcome aboard Lisa! Glad you found us. We will be glad to give you support along your journey to a healthier you.
Hello elisa!  Please check your mailbox - I sent you a PM.  Hang in there - you will lose your weight!  Keep us update how things are going and glad to have you.  Breaking 300 is big for me too!

Hey Lisa !

How is everyone doing so far this month ?

Im dwn to about 311lbs ... but it hasnt moved dwn in the past few days  !!

Mr scale needs a good spanking !! imo !!

K

If given choice, early month is my preference for slow moving scales and had one today too Korali - 333.5, 1 lb but following a nice one weigh in, Im just focusing on a comeback next week.

Almost didnt get to weigh in - winds tore through Dallas and ripped my fence into the driveway.  I shouldnt have tried but was lucky to drive over corner of it to make it to the clinic without any tire puncture.  Remember getting on scale and thinking there better be some progress!  Its not like I could pick up the fence - its huge but seeing traffic light poles bent in half, thankful the house is still fine.

Hi everyone thanks for having me aboard.  Glad to be part of the group.

Glad your safe and sound sun, we dont have weather like that over here - it must be really scary - tend to get flooded in the summer but thats England!!  Its still trying to snow here though!

Hi slainna, I used to weigh over 360! My scale could not weigh me. I use 360 as my start point cause a few months into it my friend said it looked like I had lost 20 lbs. I weighed myself and the scale said 340. I used to wear a size 32-34, and those were getting snug. I now weigh 187 and can fit into size 14 or mediums.  I'm very solid, I lift weights as part of my routine, and who knows how much of me is excess skin? My goal is 160 and to get rid of my excess skin. I eat 5-6 times a day at 1800-2000 calories. I joined cc because I just recently noticed I needed to count my calories to get all the way to my goal. Before I was just keeping my portions in check and exercising. That wasn't working anymore, so I guess I have to get nit picky now. I've come this far can't quit now and I can handle counting calories for a few more month's. It's working so far, I've lost 9.5 lbs since I started cc on 3-20-08. Jody:)

As far as your boyfriend, I am lucky too! My husband of 11 years loved me at 360. Well he thinks I'm *****H O T***** now, and even though I cringe at my "bat wings" and saggy tire around my middle he assures me that he doesn't care. Hell I was always saggy, now I'm just wrinkly and saggy, and a lot smaller. The sex is way better too! I don't get wore out so quick and I'm more fexible! Sorry didn't mean to go there but it's the truth. He has always been small 150-165, he likes big girls, but he can now get his arms around me! Jody:)

Speaking of scales that cant weigh you, when I realized my home scale when up to 350 I tried it out since Im below that.  Its a round dial and after 300 the numbers repeat up to 350 alongside number 1-50.  Well I weigh 300 at home LOL but my friend weighed correctly so I guess it doesnt really go past the 300.

I have not missed one Thursday weigh in since June 06, driving off to the clinic even when I broke my diet so its become a serious tradition thats bordering on habit.  I love using the professional scale too for accuracy.

Lisa, there is a small window of enjoyable temps here and were in it until the pending unbearable heat wave hits.  Perfect day for lawn folks to show up - got a cheap fence repair too!

Hey Group!

I actually just found this site by accident and I am addicted.  Lots of good advice and good people who are willing to help out.

Any way, here is my story.  I am 24 years old and 6'3" tall.  I recently got back up to 326 pounds.  I have always been a bigger guy.  In High School, I weighted about 320 or so but between my 2nd and 4th year, I dropped down to about 220.

I thought there was no way I would ever go back up.  Wrong!  I went off to college and then work.  I didn't realize how easy it is to eat so much junk when meals are prepared for you or you don't have time to make them, so you eat fast food.  Back in High School, I ate well (plus I had motivation to make the basketball team).

Now I want to get back to that High School weight.  Our company has been sponsoring a "Biggest Loser" contest here at work and it goes till the end of this month.  It has definitely gotten me started, but I have a long way to go.

With a group like you guys and a site like this, I have no doubt in my mind, I will keep the motivation I need to keep going :)

Hello Tommy ... welcome.

Give Sun a few days and she'll get you officially added to the roster.  We'd like to know your starting weight, your weight as of April 1 ... and thereafter your weight on the first of the month.

If we can help in any way, post here or PM one of us!!!

MOLLY

Hi... My name is Mike.. and I'm a CC-aholic

I would love to join this merry band of thieves (yanno us people  that sneak food off other peoples' plates and refuse to make it our own and log it) ;O)

My starting weigh was 325, I did my own DYI kinda diet  for a few months and weighed myself for the first time in over a year to find out I'd dropped down to 301.6. After realizing I needed some help with this I found this site. My startng weigh on CC was on 3-19-08 at 297.2lbs My last weigh in on 4-9-08 was 290.6lbs! I LOVE LOVE being out of the 300 range I had been stuck in for YEARS and look forward to reaching my first small goal of 275 (which I weighed 7 years ago) and my first BIG goal of 225 (which I weighed as a freshman in High School)

I'm 31 BTW 5'10 and I take in 1500-1700 cals a day. I do like to use my treadmill but some days I'm able to keep my cal count down low enough that I don't exercise, in order not to create too large of a deficit.

I could go on and on and on for HOURs.. but I put an a lot of work into my bio today (finally after being here for almost a month) so I'll save the rest for anyone curious enough to have a look.

P.S. thank you Molly for directing me to this thread (It was your rant forum that got me addicted! I actually spent like 3 days going through the thread and still am only on page 80)

Your "Little Green Dress" story would make a kick a$$ Hallmark movie ;O)

Welcome Mike!  i just read through your profile and all I can say is WOW!  You sure have been through a lot.

I hope to see you around CC Smile

Danielle,

Thank you so much. I can't believe the stories I read here, I get more and more inspired the more I read.

Oh, I'll be around.. I'm like a bad case of Herpes.. just when you think I'm gone... I come back ;O)

(Probably not the best analogy for making friends huh?)

Hi Mike, Hi Tommy - Just started out myself this week - wish you both every success - the stories within this group and the weightlosses do give you plenty of incentive.

Good luck Lisa Laughing

Elisa,

Welcome to you as well!

I'm jealous that you quit smoking, wish I could. I'm thinking of using quitting smoking as a reward for my body putting up with all this abuse when I hit my first major goal of 225 ;O)

I've been hitting the forums all night, now I can't wait to get the kids to bed and hit the treadmill!

Love, peace... please hold the grease,

Mike
