Lauren in San Diego here (5'11''). I was up to almost 180 lbs at the end of last year and I lost about 10 pounds during Jan-Feb and then got lazy. I need to get back on the wagon. I think I weigh around 170 and I would like to be 150. Weigh in on Fridays for me starting tomorrow. I would love to chat with others who have similar stats and goals to stay motivated. All my girlfriends are little petites, I need some amazon love!!

i am on my last day of the detox portion of the fat smash diet. i have lost six pounds in these last 9 days after being stuck at 185 for 6 weeks. i start phase 2 tomorrow which allows me to reintroduce meat into my diet. i have also been working out five days a week having hit at least 10,000 steps on my pedometer each day. i am hoping to see the 170's next week.

Well, its friday!!! I have a brand new weigh in to report, the scale is finally on the move, only its the wrong direction.. 131 im up 2 in the week, i get back to the gym?? not even eating much more maybe an extra 100 calories here and there, definitely not the 7000 extra cals it would take, my muscles are a bit sore, so im open to the possibilty thats its water retention but its been consistently 131 for the last 2 days and its just so disheartening, i got used to the plateau and that was fine, at least I wasnt gaining but now its just not funny anymore, I dunno what to do! I can't eat any less!
Carolally----what are you calories for the day? and can you give me a sample day of what you eat...

Breakfast: 90mls of non fat Vit a milk, 50g all bran cereal, cup of tea./ 50g of oatmeal & 90mls of nonfat milk, cup of tea/ 2 ryvita, 3 egg whites scrambled, cup of tea.
Lunch: Approx. 450 g of homemade soup, (whatever theyre serving at work).
Dinner: Very Varied, most commonly 100g of frozen prawns, 1 turkey breast fillet, 100g seafood medley,Grilled Salmon fillet, Oven Baked Cod Fillet, will usually eat one of these "proteins" and serve it with 3 cups of shredded lettuce, 1 shredded carrot, 1 chopped onion, 2 tbspn of non fat balsamic vingerette or sweet chilli sauce. Also sometimes 1/2 a Pepper, 1 cup of mushrooms, depending whats in the cupboards.
Snacks: Granny Smith Apple, Coffee, Alpen Light Bars, Peanut Butter right out of the jar sometimes too, although once this jar is eaten, I wont buy more, too tempting!
I also drink about 2.5 litres of water a day.
Usually get about 1200 cals a day, this is because I am lazy as hell and do F all to burn up calories!
Down another 2 lbs this week. Well that's actually not true technically. I usually ignore everything after the decimal point so if I'm super good then every other week I should be down 2 and then 1 the other weeks. It's worked out the past 4 weigh ins but it's labor day weekend and I'm going down hard. You should see all the junk food I plan to cram into my gullet.
This weight this morning puts me 1 lb away from my original goal (well one and a half, actually but when I hit the goal that .5 can go to hell) I guess my original goal means nothing except- hooray, now I want to lose 15 more!
I'm eating the new recipe Dannon Light & Fit for breakfast and I hate it. It's so sickly sweet my stomach is getting upset and the reason I eat yogurt before power yoga is so much stomach won't get upset.
edybean- I hear you there. I thought my period was never going to come...and it never did but I guess that's another story entirely. Good luck!!
ETAHBEAR! you are the bombdiggity! you inspire me girl! i have actually lost over a hundred lbs myself--so i hear ya about the saggy ****! although ive had some reconstructive done...there is more in my plan...
Carolally----not sure what to say...seems like you are eating enough, i just wander what would happen if on the days you ran if you upped your cals just a hair to maybe 13-1400....maybe for a mid am snack? and the peanut butter---i am totally convinced that its the culprit of stalls or no wt losses...without a doubt...in fact....throw that jar out ASAP! lol
im headed to the gym---i made some soup last night that i cant wait to get home and eat so i need to go work out fast! my scale is 182---and i am so bloated! God i cant wait to me 175---life is just so much better down there!

Hi everyone. Well I guess I'm down a pound...although last week I was up so I should have been here already. Oh well I will TAKE it! SW 178 CW 157 GW 150. Seven pounds left! I am so slowing way down now that I'm close. I don't understand why this happens but as long as I'm not completely stopped, I definitely shouldn't complain! Good job etahbear!
Meggo -you are having a hard time sticking to it you said. What is your hardest time of day...type of food, etc. Do you allow yourself cheat days or cheat food? My staying power comes from allowing myself cheat food...not every day but I don't deprive myself a TON either. I stay within my calories but when I gotta have something, I have it.....put it in my calorie counter and then I may be hungry later (due to empty calories) or sick (from sugar) but at least I had whatever it was that I HAD to have and I'm over it. If I go OVER one day, well then the next day is a brand new day. Don't give up!!! You did it once, you can do it again. Just remember slow and steady. I think we get too eager for it to happen NOW and when we blow it we just want to give up. But it is a SCIENCE. Calories in less than calories out and YOU WILL LOSE WEIGHT. It is amazing that way. You can do it! Hop back on the bandwagon! Go girl!!! Think about how much better clothes will feel and how you'll feel confident and POWERFUL.

I've been working at eating more again. I don't do well at lower intakes and seem to lose when I eat between 1700-2000.
Yay!!! After about 2-3 weeks my scale has moved!

I had the most unhealthy, crazy bingeful weekend, I was at a friends 21st party and I ate so much of the cake, I've now been dubbed the cookie monster! Anyway, I seem to have dropped those mysterious 2lbs I was up last week so Its all good, back to 129.4 now, I would give anything to see 128 on Friday, Zig zagging will hopefully do it, low day today!

RAAAWWR!! ERIN HATE SCALE! ERIN SMASH SCALE!!
So I'm up 2 freaking pounds this week. This is my first weekly gain since beginning weight loss and it's 2 whole lbs! Not losing that one week was tragic enough, this is just ridiculous. I tell you, Labor Day weekend was fun and the food was delicious but I work really really hard on this weight loss thing and the way I figure it this is at least 3 weeks of really hard work wasted. I'm not going to be giving myself my usual Friday relaxed meal or two. It's nose to the grindstone for me now until I lose 3 lbs.
Oh Etahbear! I have suffered the same fate this week as you! Up 2lbs from last week.

However, I'm getting so many "skinny" comments that it's just as well. *sighs*. People who know me are actually expressing concern. People who are just meeting me go on and on about my nice physique. So, I'll stick with the newbie comments and take it all as a sign of good progress.
This week I slacked off on exercise (only ran 2 days), haven't walked the dog, lazed around in front of the TV one entire day (very unusual for me) and have been eating things like dark chocolate covered pretzel bits, ginger chews, fun size candy bars, ice cream with hydrogenated oils, etc. Bad joo joo. Stayed low on the sodium though! And never went above maintenance. Gotta focus on the high points.
I'm going out of town this weekend, back to mom's for a family reunion (ug, more "you're so skinny" comments with concerned looks). Last month while there, I gained 5lbs of water weight that took me 3 days to lose. So with that experience under my belt (on my waistline), I will strive to do better this time.

P.S.P.S. I'm not complaining about the skinny comments (so awesome!)...it's the concerned looks and "you need to eat a sandwich" comments that are getting to me.
Oh my dear skookum, even *I* am getting the skinny comments and I'm still 20 lbs above what I want to be. True 20 lbs on someone who is almost 6'2" is different than on someone a foot shorter but I'm still definitely NOT skinny. I think it makes people nervous to see someone losing weight and looking good. They think "well I'm not getting any skinnier...crap...they must be losing TOO much weight, it's not that *I* need to lose some! Yeah, that's it. She's TOO skinny...anorexic b*&%h!"

Sept 5 - 171.4 - I Lost 2.8 more lbs this week. I delivered a baby last night. And that always messes up my days and nights. So this weigh in may reflect a bit of dehyration, too. But I know I'm down some, even if it isn't quite that much.

HI everybody...I guess it is already Friday! That was a fast week for me. Well the scale is saying 155.4 but I don't know. I've been stressed and not eating/logging as I should so that may not be permanent. You know those pounds you lose while starving that don't wind up being permanent. So like Beth I may go up some.
But still working out..now that school is in I have (oh GET) to go to the gym at 5 a.m. while the family still sleeps! Hard but gosh I feel great the rest of the day! I only do this one to two times a week and the weekend I get to go at a normal hour. I'm getting lots of definition in my shoulders...and even some on my calves, which quite frankly were looking kind of gross to me before I started losing. So I'm excited about that!
Skookum and Etahbear I think you will be pleasantly surprised...I doubt you really gained that much....just have patience and your hard work WILL show itself. Have fun on your trip Skooks! Tell them "yes, I made it to my goal! It was a lot of hard work" and go on with your business. Don't let it get to you!!!! You look great!
I got up to pee about a million times last night so I weighed myself this morning just out of curiosity. 1.3 lbs down from yesterday. I have no idea why I was retaining that water, I definitely hadn't been drinking more than usual before bed last night so the water had to come from somewhere. *shrug* Well here's to hoping I ditch the rest of the weight by next friday.
So Zons, I see we're down to 4 of us this week. Where is everyone?
Etahbear, so cool that you bumped back down. Stupid water weight. And yeah, I've been too concerned with how people are reacting. My doctor's appointment on Friday could change everything. If she agrees that I'll be fine losing a few more pounds of fat, then I'm going to (I have an odd paranoia about getting too thin). I would love to lose more fat before I start adding muscle (will have to reverse the deficit to build the muscle I want).
Southern_midwife, I bow to you as my Zon queen. Super tall, beautiful, and the fastest weight loser this side of, um, what side of the mississippi are you on?
And Emberjem, you have melted beyond me and now have the lead in our motivating race. Once I'm cleared for take-off (from my Doctor...which I'm sure I will be), the race is back on!
I'm back from my trip and am avoiding the scale until I feel normal. I ate well, but traveling always throws me off a bit. I feel bloated, puffy, fat...possibly pms kicking in. I'm glad I ran on Friday before I left. Then today, on my way home (3 hour drive), I took a spontaneous hike. Stopped at a waterfall and hit a 2.5 mile trail. The first half was uphill. As icky and cruddy as I felt, I still blazed up the trail. I've been on the trail before and remember having to stop for rest. Today I far surpassed my own expectations. Didn't feel the need to stop once! Ah, good health is so awesome.
