Clean Eating Challenge
Ok, there seems to be a mysterious condition going around that is causing sabotage to our eating. I know I'm not alone here when I admit that my eating this past little while leaves a lot to be desired, causing slight weight gain after such hard work to lose it.
I also know, that I am the same person who was practically flawless in my eating for like almost 90 days straight, so I know I can get ahold of this - who's with me??
There is no deadline for sign-ups, anyone can join at any time!!
All you have to do is check in once a week (at least) & let us know how you're doing. If/when you "cheat", simply let us know & I will restart your start date.
A cheat is defined as whatever a cheat would mean to you personally, whether it be going over your calories, bingeing, not eating enough, too many treats, etc. We all know when we've cheated, so just be honest with yourself
Let's be honest with each other & keep each other eating clean k? The PRIZE to the winner? Well that's easy - weight loss!!!!!!!!! (or maintenance for those at that stage!) Let's do this!
Dee

Here's the list of all signed up & the new rules:
(let me know if I missed you)
If you lose your mind & cheat, just let me know. Then you can re-start from the next day. I'll simply unbold your name, along with updating your new start date.
After being clean for a week after a re-start, I'll re-bold your name. So you always have a chance to feel like you are succeeding.
Also, if you just don't feel like you want to partake in the challenge anymore, can you let me know so I can remove your name from the list? Thanks!!
Anyone not checking in for one week (December 25 - December 31) will be removed from the challenge.
Good luck all! People's names in bold have been going the longest or have not restarted for at least a week - way to go!!!!!!!!

May 17th = clean
I am so excited to get started with this! Day 1 yesterday went great, and I even went out to dinner with my mom..... TO The Olive Garden.... dun dun dun...lol But I did really well! So day one is clean as... uhhh... something that is really clean!
I'm a mean, clean, fighting machine.
Seriously.
Seriously.
So far four days clean, 14 to go. Hope the weekend goes well that is my hardest time. Good luck to all getting thru the weekend and to more days of clean eating.
Hey,
I weighed in yesterday and I'm down 5.2 pounds!! 16 days of clean eating!! Keep up the good work everybody!!!

Just started the challenge and am on Day 3. So far so good; however, I know my body going to go through some junk food withdrawl symptoms! That's when I have to be very careful!!!
Staying reasonably clean. I haven't weighed in lately but I'm not going to worry about it. Mouth is healing and I'm eating a lot of mushy foods ... but I'm avoiding eating a lot of ice cream. Side note - mashed cauliflower is pretty good ... tastes a lot like mashed potatoes! Looking forward to having stir-fried broccoli with brown rice again soon.
Day 5 done and going great! Everyone sounds like they are doing really well!!!
I have been very hungry lately and I'm not sure why. I stayed under my WW points but I haven't been satifyed. I am going to try to eat a second small meal instead of snacks to see if that helps, (the snacks are higher in calories then a good meal anyway.)
Wish me luck!
Wish me luck!
Hey all! We're back from our road trip & all went well. Had a great meal at the buffet. Had 2 small bbq'd chicken breasts, some baked potato & a huge salad from the salad bar. Even had some chocolate puddin' What a bonus that was to see that on the buffet! yummm!
We drove all night to come home & got in at 5am. When I got back up this morning, I weighed the same as yesterday so that's good!
Ok, here's an update for this challenge. Starting today, anyone who does not check in for two weeks will have their names removed from the list. I took me several days & a alot of time to try to catch up with everyone on the list that has gone mia, and I really don't have the time to do that again, sorry. Hope this seems fair to everyone.
Congrats to all who are still going strong!!

cerhiunnhn - k, I put you at June 1, have a great time on your trip! Enjoy yourself & come let us know how it was when you get back! We want pics girl!!
thesilverstar - congrats on a successful day 1! keep it up!
ssamkelly- wow! 5.2 lbs after 16 days of clean eating! What a great reward!!! Congrats!
sugu- you're doing great. Those withdrawl symptoms will subside, just keep at it. We've all been through those!!
lysistrata - hope you heal fast! Way to get creative with your eating.
sharkbev- ya, I think you should add a real meal too instead of snacky type foods. Not only are they better for you, but you should be more satisfied with that. Listen to your body, if it wants more, give it "some" more.

Made it thru Saturday- I am going to go up to bed so as not to eat anything else, and I am not going to get up no matter what. Anyone have any tips to maximize weight loss. I am in a competition and am trying to lose as much weight as I can as quickly as possible. I want to lose at least two pounds a week, but more would be better. The contest ends the 31st of May...
Dee- Congradulations on your amazing weight loss!! How tall are you? How much do you usually lose a month? It seems like you have had phenomenal results--I saw your profile/pics--inspiring...
Can you please sign my up for Clean Eating Challenge ..I know I am a bing eater but I also know that I can do this .

Three days clean and still going strong!!
And breaking news from mabear.... I was working out on the treadmill and it felt way to easy and the next level was way too fast so I set it back to where I started and actually ran. It was only five minutes out of my 40 minute work out But I did it I never thought in a million years that I would ever run but I did and it felt great!! Watch out Forrest Gump here comes mabear!!

Today I realy stayed with my deit and I can't wait till tommorrow .......
Staying clean! I'm so sick of mushy foods, so tonight I'm going to try some stir-fried vegetables with rice noodles and chew very carefully. ;-) It's been raining here so I didn't get all the exercise I wanted, but, c'est la vie ... I had time to bake some fresh brown rice bread and get the house cleaned so it all worked out. Still haven't weighed in ... probably sometime this week. I'm nervous ... I pat myself and everything feels the same, but I'm still not used to this maintenance level!
Hey all! I think I'm gonna restart myself for today. Last night I had a few extra things & I can't say I was clean according to my rules for me.
It's kinda weird, it doesn't even bother me to have to "restart". I'm so glad that we're all here trying to get the same things accomplished and no one judges us when we slip up. Thanks all.
Hubby & I did have a bit of a splurge for breakfast/lunch (brunch) today. We don't eat out much but I had Fruitfully French (3 slices of french toast, mixed berries & whipped cream). Not something I'd normally allow myself, but I'm budgeting the calories around it for today & should have a perfect day today :)
Oh and I bought some new clothes today - I just Love shopping now! I got a size 7/8 pair of jeans & a size 8 of white capris. I've never been a size 8 b4, so this is exciting to be out of 10s now. My goal was 6s but who knows, maybe I'll be down to 4s. OMG that' would be crazy!!!!
I also bought new workout shoes. Mine, although they look brand new (cuz I just wear them indoors) just dont' have any cushion anymore, and these rock for cushion-ness. I got them in the green, jsut scroll down & select green/silver.

lrschwarze - ya, I've done that b4, go to bed b4 you eat anything else! hey, whatever works, and bonus extra sleep too! Good luck with the competition! if you're just starting eating good & exercising, you can lose more than 2 a week. At least I did for the first 2-2.5 months. It was crazy. But if you've been at this for a while, it may not come off as fast. I'm just starting to slow down now & can only hope each week I lose 2 at the most.
Oh and thanks so much!!! It's been a relatively short journey so far, but not easy by any means. Sooo worth it though!
I actually grew an inch, so now I"m 5'6" go figure, doc thinks I just have better posture now.
My first month I lost 17 lbs, SEcond month 10.6 lbs, 3rd month 10.2, and so far in this 30 dyas (it's up on the 30th) I've lost 6.8, with 10 days to go.
I guess this is when it starts to get harder. I am hoping to have lost 8 this last 30 days.
purpal2002002- welcome, I'll add you!!! You can do this, and dont' feel bad if you slip up. Just let me know & I'll reset your start date. We're all here to support each other!!
Oh ane please let me knw if you ever just want to not partake anymore, k?
Way to go on yoru success so far!
sharkbev- thanks girl!!!
mabear- you ran? That's sooo awesome girl!!! BEcoming a runner is one of the things I'm most proudest of so far. If you want to try A really cool running program, go check out & start the one I posted in the fitness section called "Learn to Run, Who Wants to Do this with me?" It's a nice slow progressing running program and we have many graduates already. There are always new people starting too, so you wont be the onlly one.
lysistrata - sorry you have to eat mush so much. Good luck with the harder foods, chew slowly & very carefully! I'm sure the scale will be ok.

question: i'm plkanning on having a treat meal (falafel...mmmm....) with my boyfriend on Wednesday. We're going to a dodgers game that night and we're both going to want to eat at this GREAT greek cafe near the stadium, it's one of our favorites. Will that be cheating if I plan to eat whatever i want for that one meal?
