Hi, I would like to get in shape for the summer...I am currently in college and have gained a bit more weight than I would have liked to:) I am 5'3 and weigh 143lbs...would love to go down to 125lbs or so over the course of the next few months and would love to hear from anyone else with the same situation?
I could certainly do with some motivation...someone to chat to when Im contemplating a chocolate binge:)
Could you bring your own food? I work nights too sometimes and I know it can be hard. We always seem to have a big cake(and I LOVE cake!) donuts or cookies in the break room. If you only allow yourself once every few weeks then you'll be okay! Every other Friday(payday too;)) I allow myself soemthing...coldstone, cake, some of my daughters cookies, otherwise I would go insane and binge eat!
I gained 80lbs with my daughter, it is nice to see someone else who gained another person during pregnancy;)

I'm also a wee bit anxious about tomorrow's weigh in, since i'm off to a movie premiere/after party tonight, which are usually full of booze and snacks....ahhhh.... almost went on the scale today but resisted!
Hi everyone! You all have been busy here. Yep tomorrow's the day. If I can be good today I think I'll do decently. I wasn't very good yesterday. I seem to alternate between a great day followed by a bad day. It's a cycle I can't seem to break. I was pretty depressed this morning but I think if I go workout, I'll feel better.
If you all want to email me your results tomorrow, I'll post them on the chart. You can also post them here, although at this time we number 22 people so it may really get to be a lot of posts to work through. Either way is fine though.

Good things for me today. Super cocktailed up on aspirin and aleve... got a decent walk in (despite my little hip injury) on this beautiful day in Northampton.
Also, I cut out the espresso shots this morning and am working on a commitment to only having them approximately once per week as a treat. My body always responds better to weight loss when I've reduced my coffee intake.
Tomorrow may not look good on the scale but I feel like I'm getting back on track.
Kudos to this group for providing a confessional, support and some good advice.

I am hoping tomorrow goes well. I didn't have much control today at lunch (Indian buffet and I LOVE Indian food), so my goal is to have a very small and healthy (full of veggies) dinner tonight. I think right now I am just losing some water weight, the real challenge begins to try and get under 138 (I never have).

I jumped (read: dragged myself) out of bed and onto the scale - despite a night of somewhat heavy drinking (the after party that lasted 'til a few hours ago...) and it blinked at me with these incredible numbers: 132,3 lbs - I'm happy and now only need to get my act together and go for my run....but maybe that's pushing it...my head is about to explode -perhaps a few more z's would be wiser.
Can't wait to see how the week went for you guys :-)

Today is the day. I actually liked the scale this morning.
Last Week: 185.9
Today: 184.3 (-1.6lbs)
Today is an ok day, down to 141, which is good. Worked out this morning. Just hoping I can get through the weekend w/o gaining what it seems like 5 pounds every weekend. Any tips on how not to overindulge at a wedding where the food will be a buffet? The drinking is also my problem. I try to do whisky and diet or vodka and soda water, but you never know how strong they are going to be... Also easier to drink more of them than beer...

Hey everybody! Great going this week. Seriously, as far as I can tell EVERYONE made some progress. Did you think about all of us this week as you were going through the motions? I sure did.
I totally loved the motto that was post by_____ "The body achieves, what the mind believes." I repeated this to myself many time over these few days.
Check page 2 for the updated chart. It's 5:15 pm on usa CST time zone. I probably wont update the chart until tomorrow a.m. if any more come in.
i have a 7 day vacation next week. I really have to make a plan so I don't completely blow it. I may take more time to post the results, but I'm still planning on taking it on.

Heheheh 134! I can't believe it! I thought I'd gained because I didn't meet the calorie count! Ahaha, I was so nervous! Oh my gosh, this forum is awesome -so many to share with and it makes weighing in more exciting!
