Hi everyone
I'm looking for weightloss buddies - I'm 30 years old, 5'9" and I'd like to lose between 30 and 40 lbs (depending on what I weigh - am going to check the scales today!)
I'm quite shy in real life (i.e. not online) about wanting to lose weight, and I haven't told my family, friends or colleagues about it (although I think my husband has guessed), so it would be really help to have people to talk about it with here.

Hey guys, I weighed in last night - sadly I only lost 0.1 Kilograms (a little less than a quarter of a lb - and probably well within the scale's error range). And quite worringly I also shrunk a whole inch in height - I must have been slouching (I hope)!
But the good thing is that I've finally committed to recording every single thing I eat and trying to accurately estimate the calories (which is sometimes very difficult when you don't know how something is prepared or exactly how much you eat). I did that for the last 10 days, and my average was 1900 cals a day (some days were 1200, some were more like 2,400). And 1900 coincidentally what CC says I burn per day - so it's no surprise that I didnt really lose any weight.
So now I just need to work on getting weekly average down to about 1400 per day and I will start losing.
I'm off to Stockholm this weekend (it's my fifth wedding anniversary) so hopefully I won't go too too crazy there...

OK, my weigh in was a 1lbs loss 197.6.
I was just in Atlanta for a high school graduation of my nephew - way over ate. I stopped counting. I do realise that I am still powerless over sweets. I can't keep that stuff around - I mean there is some stuff that I keep around - like mini-zone bars or sugar free Lifesavers, but everything else I make sure that don't buy it or I buy it in flavors that I don't like -- ice cream.
So, I am back now and looking at getting back on track. I was not that hungry today so it's been kind of easy today.
I hope all is well with every one else.
Kroth311 don't beat yourself up. It's not the end of the world and you WILL get back on track, I know it.

Happy Thursday! I weighed in at 150 today, but on the 27th I was at 149.5...ugh so again, that's a bummer. At 150 I'm down 2 lbs from last week and down 6 lbs from when I started. Hopefully next week I'll be out of the 150s for good! GOOD LUCK!
I could just cry. My weigh in today is 208 which is a pound UP! I thought last week was rough with staying the same. How am I ever gonna get down to a decent size if I can't even manage a 1 pound/wk goal! I guess my fiancee fell in love with me as a fattie... I was just hopin he wouldn't have to marry me that way.
Today is a new day... I know that. I just hope that scale starts moving soon!!!

1. If he really loves you and he wants you for you then it should not matter what size you are. I know you want to feel good about you and that's admirable - don't let it get you down. Focus on healthy living - eating to get a A on the CC and exercising at least 30 minutes (push it for 60 minutes / day).
(Having said the above, I should disclose that my husband, while he loves me, wants me to be a size 4 - completely unrealistic, but he will settle for a size 8. I have figured out that this is "his stuff" and issues vs. my issue and I deal with it as such. We were married when I was a size 16, so it is was not a surprise to him.. LOL)
2. I started at 200 and then went up to 202 and now I am down to 195.2. So, it just does that. I would stick to it. You'll be fine and you will get satisfaction for all your hardwork.
This is not easy.
I have been battling my weight issues since I was 7 years old. I am really trying to make this weight loss effort my last big effort and then I am maintaining with minor adjustments vs. major adjustments.

happy weigh in day (kinda)...I'm only at 149.5 which means I have only lost a half pound in a week. I'm SO bummed. SO bummed. Anyways, I've lost 6.5 since starting. Hope your week went better than mine.

Unfortunately, my week was not nearly as good as yours. My weigh in amount is 206 which is 2 lb down from last week... but only 1 lb for the 3 wks we've been checking in together. Oh well, I guess 1 lb is better than no lbs. I just hope I'm actually moving in the right direction now and its not just normal body flucuations.

Hi all,
I am down to 193.6. So overall doing pretty well considering all the stress. We are off to Seattle this week so that my daughter can have surgery to continue to stabilize her femur - it's the 4th surgery - she has benign bone tumors. I hate staying the hospital because you can't sleep at night with all the activity and you end up eating popsicles all night long and get high on sugar. It should be only for 2 days.
I plan on taking quick runs around the hospital or head over to the University of Washington track which is very near by.
I am also running a half marathon this week so I am tapering down for that race.

Well I'm only down a 1/2 lb from last week. I'm at 148. I weighed in 2 days ago at 147.5 so boooo, doesn't my body recognize that I need to weigh in the lightest on our weigh in days??? :)

apparently i'm not smart with math (duh, i'm an atty)...anyways, i'm down 1.5 from last week not .5
Well, I finally weighed myself and I was at 192.2. Not too bad since I ate at very odd times and also had everything go on.
My daughter is doing ok, we are at home which is nice. Tough surgery on her leg. She had the rod replaced in her leg.
I was not able to run the half marathon as it was too dicey for us to be away from my daughter but I did manage to run 1 1/2 hours.

Hi everyone. OK, I got a new scale and its different by 2 lb from my old one (I've tried it several times). So I will show both readings today just to establish that I didn't actually gain 2 lb. Then I will start using the new numbers only. So here is my list:

So 3 lb loss so far since 5/15. Not too great... but I will just keep working at it!!
Hi all,
I weighed in at 191. Not bad considering. I just remember the tortoise and the hare... the hare won the race!
So that is 11 down over 2 months. I will be happing to leave the 190s and move into the 180s.. I mean like really happy.
My daughter is very spunky now. She is still rolling around in her walker but manages to do what she needs. She had severe anemia but not it is better and some infection. But lots of spinach, beef and antibiotics -- well she is much better now.

6/26/08 - 204 (old scale)/206 (new scale) - 3 lb total
7/3/08 - 204 (new scale) - 5 lb total

Hey all...unfortunately I have only lost a half pound since last week. My weigh in weight is 143.5. I was down to 143 a couple days ago. Hopefully I'll have a better week this week. Congrats singin'! Two pounds rocks!
