i need to lose exactly 150.  You are not alone :D

well first let me say that it takes time i need to lose about 50 but if its 1 or 100 it still takes time any patience. and lets first start off by putting a picture up of your self i noticed that that worked and is working for me cause i'm see what i really look like now... and some times when you advoid what you look like it prolongs the process..... so what i started doing is taken pics of myself... and keep looking in the mirro.. at times i get depressed but when that feeling comes i just start saying to myself.. one step at a tme.. and am starting to get dressed more.. and making myself look good and feel good.. and it puts alittle twist on my eatting cause i feel good about myself...we all need a push every now and then.. cause i ate like a pig bout 3 days ago... but woke up with an attitude like that was yesterday today is a new day.. and been doing good...

going out today to get a scale!!!!Sealed

hi everyone :)

I currently weigh 264, so I need to lose about 100. I'm glad to read all these posts, its very encouraging :)

I just joined today, though I have been working on formulating my plan for about a month, and have lost 9 pounds in the last two weeks.

I started by just worrying about breakfast and lunch, and keeping track of those calories. Now i am keeping track of dinner calories, but still only focused on breakfast and lunch quotas, but i find just the process of keeping track of dinner is helping me make better choices.

I am not a fan of classic "exercise", so I ordered some cheap DVDs online for Pilates, Yoga, and Bellydancing, and I dance around in my living room :) Its good times.

I look forward to reading about everyone's progress, and posting mine!

Hi there,

I just joined. I'm from the UK and currently wiegh about 340lbs, which I'm looking to get down to about 200. I work in IT so I spend most of my day just sitting down, but I'm going to shift this weight for the sake of my own health!

Wow Sunnyone, congrats on your 23.6 pound loss so far!!!  You are doing great!  Do you have a small (mini) goal that you're working towards?  If so, have you considered a reward for yourself for when you reach it?Cool

MrsTarmara,  that is a great attitude!  It does take patience.  The next thing you know you are looking different and getting comments.  Remember to note every little change you see.  Like with Sunny and her clothes.  Look for those changes too.  One of my first ones is I felt my collarbone.  I shouted it to the world when I found I had one! Smile  Er, rather my CC friends.

Spade, that's great you're taking it one step at a time.  Work with what you can and the next thing you know you've got it and you can keep it going while you move onto the next thing.  One small step, no matter how small will still get you closer to where you want to be.  I started with a decrease of cream in my coffee...that was my first small step.

Mish, like Spade, start small.  Getting active will come.  Get to know your food habits first.  You might think you know them but when you log them and they're in your face it helps to really SEE the food.

Ok, enough from me, let's hear how your day/week has been going so far.

I joined about a week ago (still new) and I finally bit the bullet and said it's time to lose a good load of this weight.  Glad to see there's others here that are doing it too!

Hi all, may I still join?  I'm glad to see this thread.

I don't have 150 to lose, but I originally had 130+ pounds to lose when I started using CC, exercising, and eating healthier two years ago.

So far, I've lost and kept off 40+ pounds, and now have 90 to go.  At one point, I had lost more but fell off the wagon after multiple family crises and an injury (yes, I'm an emotional eater and a foodie).  Right now, I'm about a third of the way there, and it is definitely a slow journey, but I'm not going to give up!  :D

Hi Val :)  Yes my mini goal is 30lbs by September and I'm well on my way there!  My reward will be a new bathing suit (shocker- lol) for our vacation in early September.  I'm still at 23.6 pounds loss this week the scale has been crazy up and down but this morning I was back to my lowest weight so I guess it is working out.  I'm still walking and following my plan so I know the weight will come off maybe just slower than the beginning.

Welcome Thax, mrstarmara, spade and mish666uk I can't wait to hear about all of your success!

Mrstarmara I know what you mean about trying to fix yourself up more.  I got a new haircut and am taking a little more time doing my makeup ect in the morning.  Most of all I'm not beating myself up so much (boy that is a hard habit to break!)  Your picture is so pretty ...I will need some tips from ya! :)

SpadeWow 9lbs what a great start!  You have a great idea to start slow and work up to logging everything.  I found that it does make me pay attention to what I am eating.  You will have to let me know how you like the Bellydancing that sounds like so much fun!

mish666uk  It sounds like you are committed to making a change!  I know you will do great.  I work at a desk all day myself so I know that challenge.  Recently I have been walking during my lunch break to get some extra exercise.

j9gwen Welcome!  I so agree when I joined just over a month ago I was like yeah there are other people with huge weight loss goals I can relate too.  Everyone is so nice and encouraging!

Writesuff Yeah 40lbs off!  You are well on your way to your goal. I love it I hear about someone keeping the weight off.  I'm so worried about the maintenance side (I'm far from worrying about it really lol) and keeping it off.  Taking it off slow seems to help with that.  Keep us posted on your progress!

Have a great week everyone!

I have to loose more than 150 pounds, and am on a mission to get it off before I turn forty in five years. I would love a support group.

36 and 116lbs that I am going to lose!

I have been doing good with keeping my calories under 1600, my prob is exercise. ek! I liked yoga, but got expensive. DVD's bore me. So I'm trying to walk my dogs more until i can build more energy for more cardio. I also park farthur away and try to walk around more in general.

ok.. according to cc my goal weight should be 135.. now I must admit that that seems insane to me and at 135 i would look anorexic..   I have a medium to large frame... i am 5'6 and 305.. this is the highest i have been in my life.. thanks to my daughter.. lol she will be 2  the 25th of this month (August).. the lowest weight i have been my adult years is 204.. so 135 is like the weight i was in the 6th grade.. feel me.. so i picked my own target weight of 180.. so that makes my total weight to lose 125...  im excited and serious.. Im tired of feeling this way.. I am BEAUTFUL and i want others to see my beauty also..  gotta love me first and i do, now im ready for others to love this too.. lol.. good luck ladies and gents and if ur from Baltimore md  or MD period.. message me.. im looking for weight lost buddies.. even if ur not from md still message me..

I just joined.  I am located in Caifornia.  I need to have a new beginning!

Hows everyone doing?  I'm still plugging along on my weight loss journey here.  I have lost 38lbs to date (yeah me!) and am feeling so much better since I added exercise to my life.  I hope you all and doing well I would love to hear how things are going!
