How old were you when you had your first kiss?

I'm curious. Sorry if this is a repetitive topic- I'm sure someone else has posted this before, but I didn't find it.

So...how old were you? I'm 14...and I still havent had one. Also, how old were you when you first started dating? That may be the same question, in some cases, but I'm curious about that too :)

I was 19  and engaged.  We were married a month and a half later.

I had plenty of opportunities before then but chose to wait. I have only ever kissed one person and he is my husband for life.

Its somewhat sad people still think anything sexual to be something to be "saved"
21.
As of yet, never; I'm 16 and have had too much experience with guys trying to hit on me with far too many sexual undertones. And in my opinion, yes, I would prefer to "save" things like my first kiss and my virginity for a time I can look back upon happily and remember it. Plus, virginity is a lot different for girls than guys; you don't have to get pregnant, and you can't really tell if a guy is a virgin or not. : P

Plus, I'm not too keen on getting drunk or something, waking up, and thinking back years later, "Hmm... I can't really remember what my first ___ was like."

i had my first date and kiss when i was 16

Because life passes by one way or another, and it's quite possible you may never find that "special" person you are "saving" yourself for.

More or less our society holds onto things like that (first kiss, being a virgin) so tightly its almost sickning.   So what if you slept with one or two people before you marry? Well if you have no religious ground against the act, then your husband or wife should thank you for not being complete atrocity your first time.   Same goes with the kiss, just because you kiss one person doesn't mean every kiss after the first loses some meaning, not at all.  Its a mind set and if you want to precive things to be so meaningful you will miss out on quite a bit.
Well, if you count Spin the Bottle, I was 13. If you don't think that counts, I was 16. My date walked me to my door and laid one on me. Would have been more romantic though if his dad wasn't sitting in the car, waiting to bring him home!
Summer after 9th grade was my first kiss (i.e. first postpubescent, hormonally charged, exciting kiss). It was nice, a little weeklong fling with a cute "bad boy" while on vacation at my stepfather's cottage. I had to hold the guy off somewhat though, he wanted to go further than just kissing and touching, and I didn't feel ready for that.

Summer after 10th grade was when I started dating. (And everything else.)

I was among the earliest of my friends to do these things, so please don't feel strange or unusual. It'll happen when it's gonna happen, no need to rush anything. Let your hormones be your guide, only do it when you want to, and with whom you want to - I mean physically wanting to, not for popularity or silly reasons like that. (And when you choose to have sex, including oral sex, be smart - use condoms!)
13, his name was brandon, and he had a hick accent and a mohawk (weird combo?) i really did NOT like him but he was obsessed with me and he just asked if he could kiss me and i was like uh... okay. SOO romantic :P

My first kiss was at 15. I didn't get that kissing is fun until I was 17.

My first date was at 16.

Everything else was after I was 18.

i love how you reffered to it as 'everything else'   kinda random but that just made me laugh
When I was 4. *giggles* No, but seriously, I started really young. I probably didn't understand kissing until I was about 12, and by that time I had been kissing for 4 years already. Bad neighbourhood = bad influence. My first REAL kiss, like an unplanned, good, romantic kiss was when I was 13 with my first REAL boyfriend. I'm 14 now, with a new boyfriend, but these lips have remained unkissed. =) Talk about delayed coming of my self-control.
I was 10 and the Italian guy I was kissing thought I was 15 Innocent

I was 19 when I had my first kiss - with my now husband! I was  18 when I started officially dating. I had a lot of guy friends prior to that and they always took me to school dances and to movies and things like that, but we never dated. I thought  too highly of myself to waste my kisses on boys I didn't really like!

Some people have criticized me for not choosing to date more, but I think my husband is the greatest kisser and best lover in the world. I consider my body and soul sacred and didn't want to give away pieces of myself to boys who would be careless. When I met my husband, I respected and trusted him. I knew he was worth risking those things on.

Looking back, I am SO glad I didn't kiss or hook up with any of the guys I was in love with in high school. My goodness I had bad taste! Always the rebels with drug problems and emotional issues. What a mess!

I'm glad I didn't rush thing either. Life moves at perfect pace if you don't rush things. I know at 14 I felt like life would never move fast enough, but now at 25, I keep hoping it will slow down!

i was 17, but i've definitely made up for any lost time since then hehe

don't worry about being 14 and never kissed! or 16, or 18 or 20 or whatever! it'll happen eventually and then it won't matter anymore :)

and jenmcc, what you said about toes curling, i never knew what that meant until my current BF kissed me for the first time. and everytime since. holy MOLY! he's something special :P

I went on my first date the first week I was in college; it was a blind date.  This was just before I turned 19.

My first kiss was July 4, 2003 when I was 20; it happened after we watched the firework show.  He was older (29), lived in my apartment complex and we took the same bus route to work.  That was a good summer.

The first time I was actually asked out on a date was the next summer, 2004, when I was 21.  Dude also lived in my apartment complex but, as it turns out, he meant to ask my room mate, so I'm not sure if I count that one.  The next was just a few weeks later.

I'm 25 now and have friends my age that have never been kissed and don't regret it.

It'll happen.  If you don't rush it and don't worry about it, it'll be great.

17. to tell u the truth it was 5 days ago lol.

I was 14 (18 now) and it was awkward. The sweet boy down the block visiting his aunt for the summer kissed me behind the fence in the evening. Except we stood there looking at each other and talking out a plan for how long it should last and where to put hands. Literally. Then I was so startled by the tongue that I didn't kiss back at all. : /

I've had a lot of dates to dances, but no actual dates because I haven't had an actual boyfriend, haha. There have been some not-so-sober hookups at parties with guy friends, though. My attitude towards high school dating is straight out of Ten Things I Hate About You, when Julia Stiles says, "Have you SEEN the unwashed miscreants who go to that school!?"
