OK, weighing in early (I like to weigh in before I eat or drink anything fr the day) and I gained! 247!

I am leery eating 2600 - 2700 calories a day and CC calculated 3050 calories a day if I am extrememly active, which I believe I am.  I work out 5 days a week with three 3 inute spin classes, eliptical of 12 mins each day, even the days I spin and weight train for 30 minutes the other days. I recalculated based on moderate activity level and that shows 2650 calories per day. I've stuck to the 2600 - 2750 calories per day for the last week in case I over-estimated my activity level but no change, well, I gained!  Any advice? 

Saturday weigh-in: 183.5, 2.9 # down from last week--no rhyme or reason.  Actually I exceeded my allotted calories on several days, and didn't walk as much as I usually do on Thursday.

However, I've acquired a food scale, and am weighing what I can rather than using the estimates.  It makes a big difference in apples and bananas at least.

Also, we've gotten an apparatus to make even slices of bread, and that should help with the estimation of bread calories.

All in all am pleased though.

I've got some electric scales too Dinarly, they're so useful when working out what calories your eating!

This week I am at 212lbs so I'm down 2lbs from last week.

Alright. I might as well get this over with. 140.6 a gain of almost a pound. I excercised M-F which is excellent for me. As you might guess I'm pretty disappointed.

Lauren_s I'm glad to see your progress this week. If I recall correctly, last week you had stayed the same. Was your loss due to a better cut in calories for the week or added excercise?

I'm sorry about your gain hasta.  Just keep pushing and you will see results soon.

I have just kept steady trying to eat my suggested calories with a 500 calorie deficit a day.  I have been making better choices when eating out and trying to eat out much less.  Last week was also my time of the month so I was a little bloated and thats probably why I didn't have any loss.  I am only shooting to lose about 1-2 lbs a week so I can keep it off for good this time. 

Keep your heads up everyone.  Week 2 is always the one with the least progress and you will make it as long as you do not give up. 

 

staps: not in the group but felt compelled to offer some advice (would have commented in your journal, but you have no entries :D )

You may want to scale back your intake a little (like say 200 cals a day to start). Or try using the sedentary setting and add your excercises daily. It just seems that I see a lot of this on the site. The calculators are excellent, but they are rounded off somewhat. So you still have to tweak your numbers a bit.

This morning I'm at 149...still losing steadily. I did the same things as last week, cardio  for an hour a day, 6 days out of the week and really watching what I eat. Since it's working I'll try to stick to it.

Ok great! I am at 157. i lost 2.5 lbs! Still going down!

Sorry, if you gained weight. How I lose weight is just by making healthy and smart choices. Also, I go slow and make sure that I am actually hungry before putting any more food in my mouth. I know its hard to say "no" but it is possible and you have the will power!

How come week 2 is so difficult? I've found it to be true but jw why thats the case?

I'm still 127..... I've been really good these last few days, i got a job so it diffenitley keeps my mind away from food...so hopefully next week i will see better results....

I weighed in this morning at 225...(-5)...    Sorry I think i was suppose to do the chart this week my new phone is not letting me post anything to the forums for some reason, so nothing i posted last night nor this morning is showing up????    I can do it another week if you want me too.

I'm not sure why week 2 is not a big number week. I have always found that to be the case and if you watch shows like "Biggest Loser" it always happens to them too. I think its something that has to do with the adjustment your body is making.  

Does anyone else know why week 2 has lower losses?

I think week 2 may have lower losses if you exercise, because you are beginning to gain muscle and not just loose fat. I think it may be a good thing.
