| I have a serious problem when it comes to peanut butter. I CRAVE it. I get it into my head and can't stop until I've shoveled about 10 tablespoons into my mouth. Its awful. Does anyone know what thats about, or have any suggestions of what I can subsitute in its place? | ||

I can, no joke, put peanut butter on almost anything and love it 10x more.... seriously it makes my day everytime I taste it.
I've found that sometimes even just a peanut butter granola bar (chewy low fat...90 calories) will do the trick for the day... then other days i need my resses! :) |

I'm glad I don't really deal with any cravings but I do like PB. Sometimes on celery and sometimes on a sandwich but I ALWAYS have a TBSP to measure out the PB. I do the same thing for when I buy Nutella. Measuring cups and spoons are great. But I am now fully aware that most people can not be anal like me. I basically use measuring cups and spoons with every meal I prepare. The only time I ever had cravings was when I was a pot head. Shopping while high was a terrible idea but it was always a good time. But I never bought PB instead I'd buy ice creams w/ PB... |

I could really use a foodscale while making somethings but I've never gotten around to buying one. I hate when a recipe calls for ounces or grams of some grain. I just skip ahead when that happens. I can blame injuries, beer, and pot for my weight gain in college. Nothing like a couple car accidents and a heart problem to put your work outs on hold for a few years. I used to be terrified when I worked out. I had a seizure after running the 800 while I was a senior in high school. Turned out it was due to a heart problem that really wasn't that big of a problem if i would have just eaten right! I learned that lesson when I was a senior in college thats after going from 185 (4-7% body fat) w/ a sub 5 min mile to 260ish (30+% body fat) with a 15 min mile. One thing I never realized til I started to look at calories was how much weight gain could have come from just eating 2 PBnJ sandwiches with something on the side. |

| I just threw away 1/2 a jar of Jif because I can't have it in the house and eat it like a "normal" person would. Peanut butter is my one weakness. I could eat it straight from the jar with a spoon and I'm not talking about a bite or two. I could eat 1/2 the jar that way. I can't seem to control myself when it's in the house. | ||

| I eat PB everyday. I love it so much that I just made it a part of my diet. I have a whack of recipes that use PB. I buy the organic just peanuts kind and use it for a protien source. I eat 2 or 3 Tbsp a day. There is no way I will live without it, it is my favorite food of all. | ||

| And despite the fact that I eat that much, I still only weigh 133lbs, at 5 ft 7. Its all about management. | ||

someone mentioned pre-packaged peanut butter earlier. while it's a great concept, DO NOT (i repeat DO NOT!!!) buy the jif snack pack to go things. each one contains 1/4 cup of peanut butter, as well as 390 calories and 32 grams of fat! unless you plan to split this with someone, they contain two servings of peanut butter. i wouldn't call that portion control.
but speaking of peanut butter, i had a really good sanwich this morning for breakfast - a tbsp of pb, a tsp of honey, and some sliced banana on wheat bread. yum :) |
