the shorties but wanna be thinnies club!
Hi! I'm hoping to start a shorties club, probably for women because mostly women are 4'11" - Idk maybe 5'4", it could vary a little i guess. Does anyone want to join? We shorty women (or I should say "petite") need to stick together, especially women who are older (because our metabolism sucks sometimes), but age could vary also, it doesn't matter. Just wondering if there is already a thread for this, been searching but haven't found one yet. Your starting weight could vary also, i'm not picky. Women just have alot harder time dropping the weight (i.e. monthly cycles, moods, water weight, you know...)

Starting Weight was: 121lbs (stubborn pounds)
My Height is: 5'0"
My age is: 38
My activity level is: Moderate (Light)
My Calorie Expenditure is: (around 1700- it varies with exercise)
My goal weight is: 110!
My goal date is: 8/30/07
My current weight: 6/3/07 is: 119!
What else? Oh and my daily calorie intake is between 1200-1400 (1600 on a bad day)

do you weigh yourself everyday? I'm just learning to avoid doing that. trying to stick to once a week weigh-ins. I think not only should we have a weekend weigh-in for us ladies, but how about also a weekend measurements? i just did my measurements and i can see where i need to improve. Having a one day setback is not too bad.
I can't stand sushi. LOL. I'm like a picky toddler when it comes to restuarant food. If it is not dead yet, cooked thru thoroughly, don't recognize it, looks funny........it's not for me. :)

Goal: Appx 115 ( I have big boobs and can't imagine any less weight)
I eat between 1200-11250 cals a day
I've heard that I should weigh myself just before and during my period because I'll get worked up about a gain. Truth?
I'm starting to get that heavy boob feeling and am afraid to weigh myself. Maybe I shouldn't be doing it everyday?

my goal weight : 106 pounds (for now)
goal date: Start of September would be great.
Age: I turned 29 yesterday :(
(need to plan on expanding the family too, sigh!)
Activity level: Moderate, I workout anywhere from forty minutes to an hour a day, 5 - 7 days and that includes weights about 3 times a week.
My calorie intake is around 1200 - 1300 calories
according to CC my BMR is 1600.
Most days my deficit is around 500 - 800 calories depending on the day.

Welcome amybeth34: you are exactly my height! It was funny the other day, i went to a convenience store for some gum (sugar free) and i was looking and looking and couldn't find it, it was a small store, so i asked the lady at the counter where it was. She kept saying, "hello, i can't see you. what aisle are you in?" mind you, the store was about the size of a master bathroom.
to your question: i will tell u what i do: i do weigh myself before and during TTOM, but I take into account the "water weight" and do not get discouraged. It will be gone in about a week. Glad to see you here. :)

Hi gals, I am 114 today ... YAY! Lowest weigh in in probably 8+ years. I am VERY pleased. Hope it continues, as I cannot wait to see the 113 number on my scale for the first time in FOREVER. Hoping to reach 112 flat by end of June.
Hey nycgirl, I recently got there as well! - 113 after my runs, but I donīt know if that counts! two more by the end of the month is my goals as well... I definitely see the difference after all this work and itīs motivating.

Weighed in at 113.4 today for the first time in years and years and
years. I had two 1200 calorie days this weekend so far, so that is why
I dropped as I normally am around 1500 with a slow and steady loss. So,
that's good, I am psyched. Hope to try to have another 1200 calorie day
today!

I thought it was 1200, and I've been eating like 1250-1350 Calories a day, but I read it was 1800 on a different thread (well, for a 16 year old)... is this right?

I thought id join this thread as i am quite small i think :/ Anywaaay..so a bit of history... i've disliked my body for years (then again i don't believe anyone is truely content with the way they look) so i started going to the gym 2x a week burning 600-800 cals whilst eating about 1600ish..(well i dont know for sure i wasnt really counting back then). But i only became more muscular and bulky looking..not my desired effect. plus i hate running and got bored so i stopped going. then i started getting obsessive about calories and stuff and i only realised the damage i was doing to myself the other day on a 700cal a day diet with loads of excersise..mainly aerobics. Soooo now im here trying to correct any damage ive done to myself and become healthier :( I feel so stupid...

Duzzie and Fayface -- you both should use the calorie expenditure and allowance tools on this site to figure out what you should be eating etc in order to lose or maintain or gain weight as desired. It's what I am doing and it's WORKING! :) Here are the links:

Also, I found this website very useful to calculate my BMR (with and without activity) so I can verify that indeed I am supposed to be eating 1200 calories in order to lose the pounds I want by the end of this year. Hey everyone! How was your weekend??? Father's Day barbeques, family events? I'm glad to see you are here and still weighing in.
well, i'm still 118, been in "fluctuating mode" for a few days. I did do ALOT of walking this weekend as my van broke down again (for the hundreth time!). So, walking, dancing and vigourous cleaning at home kept me safe. Welcome to all the newbies here. I'm sorry i didn't get online earlier this weekend, was busy.

Im still stuck at 136, but I have gotten back on track with working out!
Ive been awol because I just started back to school to get my masters. I also work 50+ hours at a very stressful job so its taken time to adjust my schedule to fit in my workouts. I went to the gym both days this past weekend and am getting ready to go there now.
Wish me luck. The last time I was in school I gained 30lbs!

For the first time yesterday the scale showed 112 ! Down from 118. At this rate I can see myself attaining my goal weight soon. I been really watching what I eat and today I enjoyed a small cup of icecream!

Hi I am 4' 11" but always say 5' lol but I would like some shorty friends like me - I have lots of weight to lose and expect it to take a good 12 months - would love to hear your tips to keep motivated - hate exercise how do I get to love it?

Me: Started watching my portions etc. 3 years ago. Started with CC on February 12th 2007.
Starting Weight was: 180lb 3 years ago. When I started with CC I was 153.5lb
My Height is: 5'0,5"
My age is: 26
My activity level is: Sedentary and I enter all my exercise I do every day. I consider myself as moderately active.
My Calorie Expenditure is: Around 1600 and 1700 depending on exercise.
My goal weight is: Somewhere around 100lb-110lb but would be very happy with 115lb-120lb
My goal date is: 1/7/08
My current weight: 6/19/07 is 136
I try to eat the minimum 1200. When I was at my highest weight 3 years ago (180lb) I started watching my portions, cutting on junk and "bad" foods. Not avoiding those but just eating less of them. I was not with CC so I didn't know all the things I know now. I was under eating. Maybe 700-900.
But eating all those veggies were making me full before I could finish my meat or bread or pastas. So I ate very little but I was feeling fine and energized. When is started with CC I learned a lot of things and I realized I wasn't eating enough.
I now try to eat to 1200 after exercise but it's hard. Some days it's not a problem, some days are hard.
Well that's it. I tried to see some pictures of all of you but I couldn't find much! I would like to compare bodies or see what I would look like at a certain weight. I don't know what it is to be thin. I think I never was under 130lb in my adult life. I'm now 6 pounds away from that and I'm excited! Or also some before and after pictures would be awesome!
