I found Slim  in  6  to be great for toning, it is not dreadfully hard to do. I did the 6 weeks and found my self toned!  I looked great, I did the Slim and Six pack daily too which made my abs look decent.  I have not done this in about 2 years now but would love to start it again, that is if i can get my girls to nap at the same time!  Anyone doing it, or about to start it?  I am ready for the 6 week challenge.  I am eager to start but fear not following through... I know it works!  I have seen results firsthand!  I need a buddy!

Hey I just got mine in the mail and plan to start tomorrow....Glad to hear its not a waste of money .
Today will be day 6 for me!!
Hey ladies - I've missed the last couple of days due to some outside issues!  I'm back on track 110% today.  I haven't been able to get to my RUI yet, I have to wait until I get off of work.  It was a little discouraging to get off track.....ok well a lot but I still feel extremely motivated. :)  It always tank top season here in AZ! ;)  Although lately it has got into the twenties at night time.  I don't think they even sell snow shoes here! lol  Take care all and keep up the great work!
aly - Good Job, aly! Are you at RIU now?

chris - That's the spirit!

I finally took a day off yesterday *gasp* a day of non-workout!! Anyway, will be back at it tonight ~.^
i would love to join. i bought it a few years ago and then we moced a few times and it was stored in a box at my parents. nice spot for it... did me lots of good there! anyways, i just got it in the mail today. my resistance bands must be in a diff box, but if i remember correctly, i could use my dumbells.

hope everyone is doing well! xoxo
Hey guys... just finished DAY 2 :) Ramp it up tomorrow... yay!

taylorn24... yeah, you can use dumbells instead of resistance bands, so looks like it's time for you to join the club! Best of luck!
I bought the Slim in 6 Burn it up and have been doing it 5 days a week starting last week. I find the key is to do it at the same time daily so it becomes a habit. I am not a morning person but get up to do it so that I don't use the excuse I am too tired (or lazy) after work. After I actually get my lazy butt out fo bed and start I really like it!

At first I felt it in my legs, next days in my stomach, and finally in my back...so I know it is doing something! :)

I met a friend who did it about a year ago and she got AMAZING results- body so good it seems impossible! It really motivated me since she is 40 and looks better than most teenagers!

Goodluck
Sounds like you slim in 6ers are doing gr8!!!  Woo hoo!!!  I'm not up to it yet, but I'm rooting for you!!!  Glad to see you rooting each other :)

So... are you giving your muskles a day of rest to rebuild and restore every other day or every few days or so???  Heard that was important!

and are you snacking b4 or after to restore yourselves?  When I do water aerobics I was shocked to figure out that if I ate a decent snack after that my fatigue after my workout absolutely went away.

Have you seen my banana post and the stuff about choklit milk?

brb!
Here's the nanners stuff:

Go Banana's

Bananas Containing three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber, a banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes

Smoking:
Bananas can also help people trying to give up smoking. The B6, B12 they contain, as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them, help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal.

Depression:
According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND amongst people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a banana.

This is because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.

So, a banana really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrates, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around. So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, "A banana a day keeps
the doctor away!"
Here's the choklit milk!  A perfect post exercise snack!

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/02/24/hea lth/webmd/main1342839.shtml

check the article for lots more but here's the gist :)

"[Milk] is a sports drink ?plus,?" Keith Ayoob, EdD, a registered dietitian and associate professor of pediatrics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, tells WebMD. "It will supply you with things you need whether or not you?re working out."

The study builds on findings that intense endurance exercise reduces the muscles? supply of stored glucose, or glycogen, a key source of fuel for exercise. To maximize glycogen replacement, the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Dietetic Association recommend taking in a serving of carbohydrates within 30 minutes after a long and vigorous workout.

Milk vs. Sports Drinks

Common sports drinks such as Gatorade supply those carbs, as well as fluids and electrolytes lost through sweat. However, more recent research suggests that adding protein to the mix may further hasten recovery. Hence the new wave of drinks such as Endurox R4 that include protein as well as higher doses of carbs.

yep. i'm in. i am making the commitment to you guys! and i def don't want to disappoint. so, i am starting tomorrow morning. i wanted to start tonight because i am excited but i know routinely it will be in the morning so i am holding out. i will tell you guys how my first session goes tomorrow. awww baby, it's on!

Can someone please tell me what the Slim in 6 Program is? I'm from South Africa and we don't have the program here. It sounds like it's really helping everyone. Can you mail me please at anitaj@webmail.co.za
We are certainly giving Slim In 6 a good name!  I am so thrilled I posted that forum.  I gain motivation with each new commitment!

Last night I decided that Tuesdays would be my night off from Ramp it Up.  But I am happy to tell you that even though I didn't do the workout I did do Slim and Six Pack and the Slim and Limber.    I bought myself 2 lbs and 3 lbs weights that you can velcro around your ankles/wrists.  I did my housework with the ankle weights on.  I may attempt to do ramp It Up with the two pounders on my wrists, just to see how it feels...

Keep up the good work!  You will see results!

www.beachbody.com

Ok, so you've convinced me!! I just ordered my Slim in 6!! My best friend and I have been looking for a workout that won't kill us but give us decent results!! Hopefully this will be "the one"!!
Hello everyone!

Can I join in? I have the SI6 program, and almost completed a round at Halloween, but then lost motivation, In the 4.5 weeks that I did the program, I lost only 2 pounds, but firmed up and went down an entire pant size! SI6 definitely made a difference in the way I look. I'd love to give it another go.

Since my DVD player is on the fritz, I won't be able to start until after this upcoming weekend, but I'd like to follow along on your thread if you don't mind.
Welcome to the club!  Join in whenever you can, the support will be here for you!

I am about to get going on my RIU for today!  I can't even begin to tell everyone out there what this post has done for me!

WOW!!!!
I'm there with you all!  I just finished my RIU for today!  I totally agree with you aly on what this post does for me!  I feel accountable not only accountable to every one here but also to myself!  Keep up the great work everyone and keep in mind that we need to take care of ourselves if we expect to be able to take care of everyone else!
did my si6 today. boy, it was tough. i have been doing jogs and minor strength training, but this was a much tougher workout. i should also mention that i gave a girlfriend the first dvd! that means i have to start with burn it up. ha ha, holy crap, i barely got through it :>o  it will get easier day by day though, i really want to see the results.

hope everyone is feeling the burn!

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I've checked everywhere they don't have the Slim in 6 program in SA & they don't ship here either. Wish I could get it somehow, after reading all your posts I'm all hyped up and ready to go, but with no program.

Any ideas?

Ta
HAII LADIES!!! :D

Just wanna say that y'all doing AWESOME!! ^_^b

I did BIU the nigt before I travel to NYC & I brought it with me here

And since everyone is so rigorous, do take a look at what United posted (thanks sweetie!). Protein helps muscle recovery, but after hard workout, you need to replace electrolites (minerals) in your body immediately so you won't slump after the workout. I been snacking on something that has more potassium (obviously banana :D ) and other things that replaces those minerals. And it does work.

orchid - i can't believe you do BIU straight! XD kudos!

nycawfeegrl - good job on moving to RIU!

ant01 - I got mine from ebay. You should check it out there. Can even get better deal ( i did ^^)

My Breakfast just finished digested I think, (cozying up in the studio here in NYC) and gona get ready to BURN IT UP this freezing weather ^_^b
