I'm 15 (and a half...) pounds away from my goal and I would love to be there by August 25th. I'm currently trying to lose 10 pounds by about the 7th of August before I go visit my boyfriend!

Height: 5'5"

Current weight: 130.5

Goal by August 7: 120

Goal by August 25: 115

I do cardio for 30-45 minutes 5-6 days a week and do strength training 2-3 days a week. I started last November at 154 pounds. I keep the jeans I wore the last time I was 115 pounds by my bed so that when I wake up I see my motivation first thing.

So hopefully I maintain this loss until then and not jinx myself:

 

I weighed myself this morning and I weigh 116.8 lbs. Down from Wednesdays weight of 119.6 lbs.

I have gone to the gym 4 times this past week, and my calories have averaged at 1600 cals a day.

 

I think I will achieve better results if I follow CC's recommended tool of 1254 (1300 calories) a day. 

 

I hope everyone is seeing success as well. Wink

 

*Last night I was already at 1300 cals, and felt satisfied and my husband made the most delicious smelling pizza. It took all my will power to refuse a slice! I'm trying to stay satisfied through out the day and not over do it by bingeing on yummy junk food!*

My weigh in day is Friday for the summer, I really couldn't weigh in on Thursdays.  However, this week I didn't lose.

Well i've gotten off slightly as of yesterday. I had gotten down to 162.8 yesterday and then I had a small little binge of  peanut butter and jelly sandwich and some ice cream and now Im back up to 164 where i started last monday. This bites but I kind of deserve it. I WILL be 160 by next monday tho. Hopefully back to a flat 162 by Thursday. *crosses fingers*

Welcome to all the newbies in the group! And congrats to missabebedoll on the huge loss! Im sure it will stick until thursday and maybe youll even lose more! so exciting! And good job on resisting pizza! :)

- Not much of a calorie counter right now, im overly analytical and it makes me a little manic right now. So ive been doing the "common-sense" diet. No soda, junk, fast food, etc. Lean proteins, complex carbs, veggies, fruit and lots of water!

-Exercise: currently doing a 3-day a week bootcamp for an hour each session (avg calorie burn 500 cals) Gotta love Heart Rate Monitors!! In addition to bootcamp, walking/jogging 3x a week with hubby (avg calorie burn 400 cals)

Here are my current stats:

5'10''- cw 155, sw- 160

By Aug. 25th I'd <3 to be 140!! That is my goal weight!

Here is my problem: I am training for a marathon right now, and by Aug. 25th I will be running about 45 miles a week.  I'm not quite sure how much I should eat to stay healthy for my runs, but also loose weight at the same time.  As a long distance runner I am also supposd to have a much higher ratio of carbs.  Anyone with advice I'd greatly appreciate it!! :)

Hey Yall! I have just recently decided to take action! lol! I'm 20 @ 5'5 and 180 but I want to be at 130 (my weight before I started college).  I could use all the motivation and butt kicking in the world!

Quick Question is it better to stick to 1200 calories or should it be more? I have seen so many people with similar stats and goals and they are consuming more calories? I am having trouble meeting the 1200 cals as it is... which is prob why I'm at this weight... any suggestions?

I've been trying to lose weight for a month now and managed to lose about 4 pounds...but gained it all back.... soo here I go:

CW: idk....probably about 128 >.<

There are several reasons why you eat more than 1200 calories. 

1)you won't maintain 1200 for very long

2)Even if you can eat that for a while, your metabolism will slow down and weight loss will slow or stop.  Once you eat more, you will regain quickly. 

3)I don't know what your activity level is but at your weight, you likely need a lot of calories to fuel activity.  I started at 180+ and I burned 2000 laying down.  If you exercise at all, you likely burn more and shouldn't have more than a 1000 calorie deficit. 

4) Going again with #1, this is a lifestyle change and you ought to eat the way you want to eat after you reach your goal.  I don't want to eat 1200 calories next year, why would I try to eat that this week?  Eat more, exercise more. 

I just joined a different groud to lose 22 pounds by September 1, but losing 15 by August 25th is consistent with that. Good luck to all!

I have developed a habit of working out for 1.5 hours in the morning (my day starts before 5AM with a banana and some water; make my lunch and snacks for the day, check e-mail and go work out). Then I have breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner (sometimes snack). I'm ready for bed at 9:30. OK, I'm single so I can get away with my schedule. I want to lose the weight now, and then switch to a maintenance plan for the rest of my life.

I'm getting used to being under 200lbs.

I'd like to join if it's not too late...I'm 5'8", 24, and 161.4; 15 pounds less would put me at less than 7 pounds away from my goal date, otherwise known as the weight I haven't been since I was 14!!


When will we weigh in?  I usually do it Tuesdays and Fridays (to see how much damage I've done over the weekend, and then to see if I've undone it all!).

Today's my first day, and I have 18 lbs. to lose, so this looks like a good challenge for me. I hope to keep my exercise up, 'cause it seems that when I get lazy, I set myself up to start eating too much. Keeping track of everything I eat here is really helpful.

Here are my stats:

start (at this challenge) 155- 5'10''

cw- 154! woo!  I've been sort of on a plateau between 154-155 for at least 1.5 weeks!  It seems to be staying consistently at 154 for the past few days so hopefully I'll start seeing 153 soon!

gw (end of challenge) 140 - omg i will die if/when I see that #, haven't been there since high school!

Hope you all have a great long-weekend, happy 4th of July!  Lets all stay strong at those bbq's and think of next-thursday's weigh-in!  I am going to visualize 140 in my head when the chips, beer, pizza, etc is in front of me!
