I'll be 43 this June anyone around the same age want to join my weight loss quest?

Greetings!

I am hoping that this site I stumbled on will help me out. I have been on a diet or fighting with food my entire life. About 8 years ago I lost about 100 pounds, my lowest weight was 204 then I had my first child at 40. Now I am 220 and he'll be three this June. The only good news is that I do not weight 300 + pounds anymore having said that - No excuses, my food addiction problem has been out of control now since his birth. I try - and try - and try - and still nothing seems to be working. Maybe I can find a friend here who will help give me the strength I need to be healthy. I need to stay alive for my family.

Just thought I'd stop by to say hello. Sounds like you guys are having a nice time chatting. I am glad the thread is doing well.

I think I found some help in my wight loss tragedy. I found a friend who's about my size and we are weighing in together. She comes over and we get on the scale together. It's been a big help to get me off my binge road. So I havent lost any yet, but I have stopped the total obsession and the big binges have stopped for now, thank GOD!

Anywhoo just wanted to say hi!

Mavmom - Good to know that you are still out there and still working on yourself. Maybe you & your friend can try to see who loses the most in a week or something? A little competition could be a motivator. Stop by more often, we are only here because you started this, guess you are like the "Mom" here.  I have a friend at work that I am trying to "work" with on the weight loss, she is losing much faster than I am though.

Cynthia - I love the rearrange the pounds theory! I will have to keep that one running through my mind.

Missykris - Ireland, it is so beautiful there. What a great place for a wedding. I hope we will get to see a few pictures (hint, hint).

Omagraf - Sandy 157 (still no change) I don't think that I am going to get anywhere till the season calms the allergies and I can increase the exercise. I'm really going to try to push the activities on days when the counts are lower. I really got out there Saturday and pushed it when the count was down, it felt good.

Glad to hear everyone is doing good this week. I think Terry may have headed out on vacation and not gotten around to posting before he left, hope he takes pictures. Maybe I'll go check the pollen counts for the week and make some plans to get out and log some mileage. I hope you all had a good weekend and let me know how the week is going for you! I should be getting some good exercise this week getting ready for our big graduation party here, but if I don't work out on top of it the party may blow my loss this week! My oldest grandchild (4) is showing signs that he may have a bad allergy problem, why couldn't he just get my eyes? Well, lots to do this week so I'd better get going. Hope to hear from you all soon.

I do not want to whine, but this is day four and I have yet to see anyone stop by. Am I starting to talk to myself now? No wait, I already do talk to myself...this would be like emailing myself. Well it is Friday so maybe someone will stop by and visit me. Having an ok week myself, been pretty good watching the food and better about getting out to excerise.

I'm still around!  I'm on a new project at work so I'm not able to browse during the day like I was before, but today I'm working on finishing up something older.  This week was mostly maintenance.  Hope everyone's doing well!

I'm still around to - been a long week.   For once I am not complaining about not losing anything, I haven't been a very good girl this week!  I went out last Saturday night and drank way too much!  Its taking me all week to feel normal again!  This is why I don't go out much!

hello everyone!  I'm finally losing again. Two weeks in a row I've lost!!!!  WOO HOO!!!!  :)   I'm very happy!

Hi everyone!

The weather is gorgeous here, sunny and low 20's which I think is in the 70's.  I've been trying to be good about eating out and sticking to my plan, and we've been going for a lot of walks outside.  We also went for a run on Sunday; I did the whole 5k.  I hope that I'll start losing again; last weigh-in I had PMS bloating so hopefully that'll go away soon.

The walking I'm doing is really helping me alot!  I'm seeing a definite change in my size!  I'm wearing clothes from 3 yrs ago and feeling really good about this now. It's such hard work, but worth every minute of it.

I'm not playing this week :-) I'm having one of those weeks where everyday is a different weight with a 2 - 3lbs difference! I've gone from 177 on Wed to 181 today. Of course I would love to post 177 but I'm going to wait a couple of days for things to stabilize!

Hi again, I was out for a vacation (of sorts) last week and didn't get to check in. I think that we have lost alot of people here lately...or is it just me?

I didn't weigh in last friday and I am probably glad I didn't. The weather is breaking this week so I am hoping that I'll be out more. The allergens have kept me a little down lately, but not too bad. Glad to hear that everyone (who checked in) is doing ok. Big WooHoo to Tammy for posting to the loss column!

I hope to hear more from everyone this week, maybe they are all out getting some good exercise! I also hope that when I weigh in this week I do not pay dearly for last week. I am motivated to behave this week and not be too disappointed when I get on the scale! I managed to stay away from everything bad but the alcohol last week (days of parties are going to catch up to me). I have packed a healthy lunch and am taking extra breaks to walk the stairs at work today, I need to be a little more aggressive this week. Talk to you all soon!

I'm still here and not as cranky as I was on Friday!!!   I was just so frustrated last week.  I suffer with IBS (irritable bowel) and had a bad, bad week with it. I can feel my stomach swollen and sore and then of course the weight gain!  I finally got the scale to get back down to 179.5 but it was a struggle.  I'm hoping when this "episode" is over, I will see some loss.  I find is incredibly hard when you really try and have a great week to see the scale bounce in the wrong direction!!!

missy - I've heard that IBS can be painful. I feel bad for you. I hope you feel better soon! 

As for me, I'm just walking my behind off! I walked 5 miles yesterday and I'm going to try to top that today!  It's real hard for me to walk so much when my leg and back starts to hurting. After the 3rd mile, it's super hard. So I do 3, then take a break and do 2 more. Today, instead of the 2 more, I'm gonna walk 3 more! lol  We'll see.....

I can't sleep tonight so I'm on here fooling around! :)  I'm tired, but when I lay down, I just look at the ceiling! lol
