It is a lot of exercise, and I'm glad I'm not burned out yet because I have to do it! I'm taking a step aerobics class and then a weight training class right after it at my college. If I decide not to do it, my GPA will suffer! It's perfect motivation for me, because on a normal basis, I probably would struggle doing it on my own :(

I'm glad to be here too! Thanks for making me feel so welcome and for the advice! I know that from the past it is very easy to binge and will definitely be difficult! I noticed that this club has been active since January, how much weight have you all lost?? :)

I am down a bit more, to 175.4
If I continue like this, I could actually get to my goals relatively on time. I just need to kick my ass to the gym. Lately work has been tiring me out so much I just don't want to go at all :P\
edit: I was 182 in January. I am now 175.4(ish). So that's about a 6.5 pound drop in, 3 months or so? Lame :\
Ngsoccergirl3 - If I count my lowest weight since joining Calorie Count, then 23.8 lb. 198 to 174.2. I was at 189 when I joined this group. However, today I'm up a few pounds, to 178, and I've actually plateaued between 175 and 180 since the beginning of March.
Nasuoni - Don't get down on yourself about work. Doesn't work burn calories?
Today I'm going to the gym if my cramps cease. I ended up with cramps today, either from my period that's probably coming on, or from not being able to go "Number 2" very well in a few days. It could explain why I'm up a few pounds before I should be.
Also... I have a feeling that my motivation is waning slightly, and it's had a negative impact on my weight loss. Here's a copy of a chart I made for myself.
01.08.08: 198 lb.
02.08.08: 186.8 lb 11.2 lb first month.
03.08.08: 178.2 lb 8.6 lb second month.
04.08.08: 174.4 lb 3.8 lb third month.
I do know that right after class (at 6:15 my time), I'm going to drop my stuff off in my room and then go to the gym. A friend of mine suggested warming up with a light cardio, then weight training, and THEN do a heavy cardio. He also said to mix up my cardio, by running some and walking some. I will try to do that.
Hi Ngsocergirl3! I just started this February 18th... so far I've lost about 13.4 lbs. I'm currently at 168.6. Good luck!! :)
I'm at 172.8 now. I am also attemping to go vegetarian for at least 30 days, and I am liking it so far. And, I've got gym class for the rest of the year, so I'll have no choice but to be a little more active :)

leoparderayne, maybe the slowing weight loss is your body adjusting. I'm no expert or anything, but sometimes people lose more in the beginning (water weight?).
My body is bored with the same old routine, and I changed it up today. I hope to see some results in the next few weeks!
I started an interval for 30 minutes. I do 3 minutes at 3.5 mph, and 2 minutes at 5.5 - 6.0 mph. I also am working just my arms, back, and abs now at the machines, keeping it lightweight as to not bulk up.
I messaged Eddiepotter, and he gave me a few ideas and said what I was doing should turn up some results.
Leo~ Sharky is right. I was 250 in October of 2005. From then to October of 06, I lost around 50 lbs. Then 06-07 I gained and lost the same 25 or so. I started off at 192 in June of 2007, and now I'm barely 175, and it's April of 2008.
Losing weight is fast at first, but then it starts slowwwwing down.
Today, I am 175, with 35.5% bf and 46.5% h20.
I need to drink more water, and start exercising more. I think I'm going to go swimming tonight, and go work out too. Have to eat a tiny bit more, and really force myself to get back in the habit (been lazy because the boyfriend is sick, and blah blah blah reasons)
After I drink this water, I'm going to go up to the gym, not to work out... I only do that at night. But I want to get a fitness assessment done to see my %body fat change with a 22 lb change. I feel like even though I haven't lost too much weight, I have lost a lot of inches, which I suppose means that I could have gained muscle and lost fat.
Last time I was there, it was 40.5%... If I'm lucky, it'll be beneath 30. But I can't push it. It's only been a few months (January) and while I've been good, I've not been THAT good.

Worked out a bit last night, made me feel alot better.
I've really enjoyed this group, because it's given me the motivation I need to carry on, even when things weren't going my way. I also would like to say that every accomplishment that everyone does is like me accomplishing as well. Feels great!
I'm going to go shower, and in about two hours, I'm going to go to the gym. I want to wait that long (although I'm pumped to go now) because I just ate, and it involved about a cup of milk.
I'm going to eat dinner tonight, then go to the gym and swim to my heart's content :D
I'm 175.3 today, with 34.5%bf and 47%h20
I think because I ate around maintenance last night that I gained a tiny bit, but I'm okay with that.
I'm struggling to be okay with gaining a bit of weight, and getting back to the gym. I can do it though.

edit: I DID IT! 20 mins elliptical, 15 minutes ball crunches, planks, and regular crunches, 10 minutes bike, then a 20 minute swim (laps and running in the water) WOOOO!
But bad day today... Will likely binge tomorrow.
was 174.2 on Sunday/Saturday. I'm now 175.0 because I'm deadly sick, and sat on my ass all of yesterday eating crackers, soup, and smoothies.

Today I'm 175.2 lb, after I ate breakfast (forgot to weigh before breakfast). Pretty happy with it, considering I ate about as much fat yesterday than I typically do in two days (60 g). I saw a rapid drop from yesterday, though, considering I was at 176.8. I might actually see a REAL drop in the next few days.
But for now? Studying...

It's No biggy. I meet this guy on Friday... I think we have spend just about every possible secound together since then. It's been wonderfull. He says he thinks my stomach is sexy. He takes photographs and draws, he's mom was a fire cheif so he just adores strong women, and he was a figher fighter for a bit too. He got me a bunch of starfighter lilies last night.
So I am pretty happy.
I am just 197 for my Period and for my workout. It will probobly go down. ![]()
I'm at 174.8 today, and I'm happy to see it. Good news is that I'm not jumping around in weight quite so much - In the past week, my highest weight was 177, lowest was today. I'm almost halfway to my 10-lb goal, and maybe I'll get to buy something new. I'm thinking shirts this time, because all the jeans I've bought recently were a tad too tight, and I'm hoping that this way I'm not straining my wallet.
Hi there! I'd like to join this group. I'm currently 186. I started counting calories and eating right last week and lost 4 pounds. I'm motivated to lose weight and change my lifestyle, just have a tough time getting motivated going to the gym. My life is horribly sedentary so I to change little things (go on walks, be active instead of just sitting at home, maybe eventually get a dog to walk it). My goal is to be 140lbs at the moment because I think that would look healthy. However, most sites think I should go down to 110lbs because of my height. Being short sucks.

I'm in class right now, and I'm getting tired. I was happy this morning to see beneath 175, but I can't say it'll stay that way. Too much salt and too much food today. 1700. I will have to work out tonight.

The good news is my fast food addiction seems to be over, I am putting down the Smokes (AGAIN) I got up to 3 smokes a day for the past couple of weeks, Just enough to get addicted. So far 18 hours smoke free.
Still not eating meat, so that is good.
And I am using my Treadmill more regularly and climbing the stairs at work.
I may be 193 lbs but I couldn't be doing better, as far as improving my health.
With the earging of Jeff (the guy I told you about) I am not paying anymore attention to the actuall Weight.
