hey ladies, hope everyone's day went well... i did the unthinkable and binged on BEEF last night... this after telling myself i will never ever binge again, haha... i stll stayed within my calorie allowance with the binge so it wasnt that bad. but the thought that i would eat something that is bad for me annoys me to no end. i weighed myself this morning upon waking up and i'm down another .5 lb. dismal i know but its better than nothing. today i go back to the gym... hopefully :)
I ate decent this weekend, considering I was pretty much in house for all but an hour or two. Studyed like crazy again, which is when I get really snacky, just from boredom completely and wanting to get up and poke around the kitchen when I am stumped on a problem. But I think I finally have it under control as I was under 1700 for friday and saturday. Yesterday I was under 1600. So not expecting a big loss this friday as my normal cal goal is 1450...
My test is only 4 days away (or three depending how you count :)!!!!!! I really can't wait for this part of my life to be over.
Amare ~ you got it - no more crying - you can do it - you ARE doing it! Way to resist all the tempting foods, I am pretty bad at that in social settings. If you work out you may be a bit hungrier than normal (sometimes not til the following day), so yeah eat a bit more, but if you're feeling fine, you might as well just rack up the losses :)
Kim ~ yes you will join me in the 130s soon - I'm excited for you :)
Olivia ~ hmmm bday's do start sucking, I guess we need other events to look forward to, like: vacations, getting stronger, niece's and nephew's b-days, concerts, and seeing old friends instead.
Rachel ~ thanks for tip, i;ve always wanted to stock up on frozen din-din for when I just can't find the time to run to the store for fresh food. Now i know the kind to get!
Zochia ~ i totally understand - I spoil myself with treats when I'm sick, I'm such baby! Luckily I haven't been sick for awhile :)
hey, well I am done eating and exercizing for the day. I still fell great. And can't wait for tomorrow to come for me to feel good about. Today I rode a real bike for the first time in a year and a half!!!!! I just always use exercise bikes. I used to ride my bike all the time but I got lazy and started to gain weight, but I had soooo much energy today!!!!!
puppykisses- wow a personal trainer!!! I wish I had one of those. I thought only celebs could have those!!! lol
Olivia77- I am sorry your b-day went bad, Just look forward to the 24th of may when you can get into your bathingsuit!!!!!! We all are hoping you can do it. Keep your chin up!!!

this is the kind of positive thinking i should have!!! and it usually comes right after i have had proper coffee.... note to self: never EVER go to the gym and weigh myself before starbucks... don't worry, i get the brewed less the frills... so no calories there... might as well get a caffeine shot straight to the brain, hehehe
good morning! I rode my bicycle to work today :) 8 miles in 42 minutes! yahoo! and my weight went back down the 138 I've been stuck at for about 3 weeks.. hopefully this bike riding will have a positive effect on my weight! I just finished my breakfast smoothie... 1c. oj, 1c. strawberry light n'fit yogurt, 1/2c. frozen blueberries.. I want to add protein powder, but I need to go buy it first... lol... OH! and I stayed away from the pie last night! I had one apple out of it :P
Just wanted to tell the AM exercisers a good way to stay motivated... go to bed with happy thoughts! If you pump yourself up at night about how good you'll feel when you wake up to exercise, it makes it SO much easier! If you go to bed thinking, ugh... I don't wanna work out tomorrow.. you'll hit snooze right through your workout :P so, go to bed on a happy note!!
zochia- i love working out in the morning too! Other than the obvious feel-good effect, I'm also so glad to get it out of the way! I ♥ my bike :) I have pie screaming at me too.. but I covered it with aluminum foil and it's much harder to hear now ;)
amaresmom- that's the right mindset!! This is a lifestyle change! Not just a quick-fix fad diet :) I have changed my whole regimen over the past 2 years.. just take it one day at a time, one change at a time.. then it's more likely to stick :) those are some GREAT goals! you can do it! I like the bus idea, that is awesome! yay for the beginning of swimsuit season! I got an emerald green 2 piece that I can't wait to wear! your food for the day sounds perfect! a nice balance of everything you need! I've heard that you should add the workout calories back so you should be eating 1750.. but I just pick a number of calories and if I'm not losing I add/subtract more... I think it's impossible to figure out exactly how many calories you should eat.. I say just use trial and error :)
Kim- that is so wonderful how great your daughter is doing! I'm glad to hear that everything is going so well :)
Kim Anne- one way I try to get all my water is to leave my water bottle open.. I know it sounds silly, but it is easier for me to just pick it up and drink it rather than take the extra 8 seconds to open and close it... lol.. and I think the worst part about the meal was the dessert, but i don't care! What fun is life if you can't have apple pie :P
olivia- I hope you feel better today; you deserve it :)
rachel- nice job on the 2lb drop! sounds like you have some good goals! as long as you feel good about your body and you're doing it in a healthy way :)
limona- yay for studying.. lol... I tried to do a lot of homework but that didn't really happen. I get snacky too! But luckily I type for homework so it's hard to munch unless I completely stop doing my homework... I can't wait to get out of school either! I have a test tonight... It's a typing test so if I don't pass tonight I can try again next week.. but I really want to pass!!

amaresmom!!!!!! congrats. I am so happy for you!!!!!! Keep up the good work!!!! I can never get my heart rate past 100 when I am on the exercize bike!!!! So I can't help you there. But when I am on a real bike it is always up. SOrry I couldn't be of help. I have the same problem.
krrpt- the bike riding will help, it burns so many calories!!! And at the speed you are going at I think you'll break your 138 soon. And what you had for breakfast sounds great. I have foil over mine too!!! It sure does quiet it down a bit.
wickedsis- haha, that a good idea, gets you pumped for the gym. Just keep going to that gym and eating right and you'll do fine.
ka2007- Good job!!!!!!!! seeing all this weight lose for everyone is getting me so excited and wishing I had a scale at home so that I could go weight myself. I have to wait till friday!!! :(( You are almost there!!!! And we still have well over a month to go!!!!!
Well today I already feel great. Didn't have a refreshing night of sleep. But I can't let that dim my attittude!!! So in a little while I will be doing another hours worth of pilates. I need to get a yoga dvd so that I can get in stretching!!!!! Then this afternoon I will go for another 45 min walk. I upped it yesterday cause it was only 2.5 more minutes to go to the end of the road. lol. Then later I will go for another bike ride. I think I will double the time and take to an hour of that too. Because it is such a great workout. And today i feel confident about my calories. I already have my meals planned out. Well all except for dinner, still undecided. But I left anough calories to make do with what ever everyone is having here. SO good luck everyone. You all are doing so well!!!!!!!

Have been exercising like a mad loon and trying to keep my calories around 1600ish. Still working on it.
Still waiting for my bike to get in. Walmart is slooooooooooooooowwwww. Blah. But that just means the lovely bf can put it together when he comes home this weekend. IF it comes in within the next 12 days!
Question: What is the deal with the weight graph in your weight profile?? What is the blue line and what is the green line??? Which one should I be looking at? Is the green accounting for exercise and water retention so it is a more accurate reading?? Enlighten me please!![]()
kpersons - your graph has your weight line (blue) and your trend line (green). The blue line is the actual weights that you enter. The green line shows your "trend" - meaning that when you weighed 155 on Monday but 160 on Tuesday, the trend line isn't going to jump 5 pounds, because it would be near impossible to gain 5 pounds in one day. Try to focus more on the trend line as it is likely more accurate in that it won't have the high ups and downs that the scale sometimes shows up.
Amaresmom - CONGRATS!!!!! Congratulations on the loss. That is fantastic.
Krrpt - thanks for the water idea. It's a small thing but I can see how it could make a big difference. I try to make myself get a water bottle out of the fridge when I first get up, because if it's next to me, I'm far more likely to drink it than if its in the fridge :)
Everyone - I'm still at 142.5 no loss no gain. Could be worse! I'm hoping to have some sort of loss by Friday, but I realized I will have to do more than sit on my butt and watch tv for that to happen. I've been a bit down lately, but today I'm changing that!

I was up a bit this morning, but am not worrying as I had chinese food and very little water (only 1L or so, usually 2L or more). Crossing my fingers for a good one on friday. But proud that I planned out what I was going to eat (2egg rolls, the chicken with veggies (least cals on the menu for mains) and 1 cup rice). And even tho I was starving by dinner, I actually didn't eat the egg rolls and was totally satisfied.
I do sooo much better if I log my food before I eat. I know that may seem TOO obvious, but I've really just started doing it recently :)
Katie ~ the green line is your TREND line so it's some sort of average of your last week or so of logged weights. That is what I really pay attention to, because even if I log a higher weight (like this morning) my trend line still goes down!!!!! If you are only logging weight once a week or so, then your trend will always be higher than your logged weight, so then I wouldn't look at it as much. But it can help when you start doing the cha-cha back and forth over one number!

I know it is hard, but maybe try to limit the frozen meals to only a couple of times a week- they are so easy (and not too bad), but can kill you on the sodium (like you said). Try making extra for dinner and packing it away right away, so it is less tempting to get seconds or what not... I was in the habit of-and something I need to get back to doing- making some extra of whatever protein and putting that in a salad, the pre cut salads are great to throw in some tupperware and then add whatever good stuff to it....
Well, I was just reading an amazing book when the unthinkable happened!!!! I really really really want to get into the cuboard and get those cheese-its and chips!!!!! So I figured I had to do something before I gave in. Both those things are my favorite munchy. So I figured I would come back on here and read everyone loses again to keep my hopes up. And It is helping once I get off I am going to get busy and do something to get my mind off the goodies. And this morning after pilates I went to get a drink out of the fridge and saw my pie and lusted so bad after it!!! But I didn't have any:(( Then my sister had to be a tease and have some with her lunch, but I held strong!!!! hurray.
Finally healthy again! Being sick really sucks! Did 30 min on the elliptical last night( was late and I was ready for bed) My babysitter comes this afternoon so I can go for a run. So looking forward to it! It's been a week since my last run!

Olivia-soory you are feeling so bad. I wish I could help, because the reason a lot of us are pushing ourselves to lose this weight is because you started it. So we are all so thankful. If you wouldn't of started this thread I would still be on my "break" so to speak. But I saw all the responces and got right back on track. So now I am all excites. But then I saw how down you are and now I fell down. :(( SO just look forward and you need to get everything streghtened out with you hubby so you can move on and get in that bathing suit!!!! Best of wishes.
Well I went for a walk, a little later thatn planned but I got it in. Then I went for my bike ride and I was going to double it but we started to get a cold rain and I don't want to get sick again so I decided against it, though I really was thinking about doing it anyways. But if I get sick I can't very well exercize and lose that 10 pounds. I still feel good about it and might be able to get a sneak peak at my weight tomorrow. So cross your fingers ladies!!!!!!! I hope there is a break in the weight. I feel smaller, that should count for something!!! lol
