I want to lose 10 lbs before we fly out on May 24th.

I've been away for a while 'saving the world' (I was at a climate change conference!) but I'm back! I think my starting weight was around 147, and I'm down to 141 - Most of it is because I've had the stomach bug that's going around, I expect to be back up to 144 by the end of the week. I can handle that though, it would still be a 3lb loss!! Wooo...
Last night was tough, I had a kiddie party to go to..... Needless to say I am happy I ate before I got there. I don't know why that wonderful wife/mother would be trying to kill me and her guest.LOL She didn't make a veggie AT ALL (because she said the kids wouldn't eat it) and she had all of the healthy meat in gravy/sauces so I could only have jerk chicken and salad(plain) because she only had ranch and creamy italian. Was she trying to kill me!!! Then she had numerous pasta salads and 2 different rices and mac and cheese. Then she made from scratch three cakes and cupcakes. I never tell people how to run their homes but boy does she need someone to maybe suggest SOMETHING! I haven't been the best with my health but my little one knows what a veggie IS. That was a challange and I passed!!!
I walked when I got home just because I felt so happy I turned down that cake and all those carbs. I am off to walk outside today since the weather is nice.

How much weight do you think i could drop if i consumed the right amount of calories, went on my treadmill each day, and did 2workout videos( ex: Monday=Treadmill& Ab video; Tuesday, Treadmill& Ass video) <3
Well I sorta have bad news. I weighed myself on friday before I left on my trip and I gained 5 lbs. Which I didn't understand because I hd been doing soooo good with eating and exercizing. But I had just eaten lunch so I just took that into consideration. Well I didn't know it at the time but I started my period that night. Curse periods!!!!!! SO that explains everything. So I will not be discouraged, I will weigh myself this comeing friday with results!!!! No matter what. I will be off my period and I will be able to do it at an inbetween time that won't show what I just ate. I think I did very good over the week end with my birthday and all. I fell good about it. I just need to make sure I don't touch any more of my birthday pie from here on out. My family will finish it just fine. I will not be able to exercize the way I like to for a while because of not being able to get to town. But I will still do Pilates, which I am uping to an hour. I am no longer sick!!!! And I will be going for walks still with my sister. So I don't think the weight lose will be as quick because of not doing my intense workout but I think I will still lose as long as I keep how I was dong things on wednesday and thursday. AO I still feel good about this and cannot wait until fridays weigh in. I am hoping for two lbs off of my 130 weight. ( the weight that I was before I started my period)

good morning! I had a pretty good weekend.. did good with food and exercise and such. Yesterday I was bad :P I made dinner for Andy's family.. well, he made the seafood linguine, I made the salad, fresh asparagus and apple pie :) it was so tasty!! I indulged and had a piece of pie and ice cream after dinner. I didn't take very big portions for dinner, except for the asparagus. and I didn't have any garlic bread.. and I munched on pie crust and peanuts all afternoon.. my weight is WAY up (drama queen...) so I'm not logging again till tomorrow ;) I'm chugging water as I type... lol...
If I can get my tires filled, I'll be riding to work tomorrow. I'm going to try and eat 1500 calories a day and 1800 on bike days...
babyd- wtg on the 4lb loss!!! keep up the great work! I'm sure that cutting back on drinking does have a lot to do with it; good job!
limona- good job with the loss!!! I think I may make a goal to lose an inch or two by 5/24... lol.. may be easier than my 5lb loss till my final goal... lol... but I can do it.. I just gotta find that magic number for weight loss...
trnnbrn- glad to see you back! I hope everything is ok :) just do what you can and stay healthy :)
olivia- i feel like a bada-- when I lift my weights ;) it's fun! yay for being popuar, that is a nice feeling :) and I'm keepin goin... lol.. my scale may not agree with the weight loss thing, but I'm so much healthier!!!

Ride my bike to work at least once
Get down to 137 or lower
Stay away from the leftover apple pie (may allow a small piece at the end of the week)
Drink lots of water
Exercise every day... Sunday's are my off day...

krrpt - I believe in you! You can a) ride your bike at least once and b) refrain from the pie...at least til the weekend. ;-)
I drink 4-5 .5 liter bottles of water EVERY day.
When I work..(I work nights) if I weigh when I first get home and then reweigh upon awakening, I always weigh less the second weigh (after sleeping) even if I only sleep 3-4 hours (YUCK) same as the days I am sleeping at night.
This is the week I add working out on a regular basis!!!!!!
I just got home...I am beat but wanted to say hi to all..(try to catch up later)

So sorry I haven't been in touch over the weekend... I dont get access to a computer. I was dying to put in my calories, read the forums and write messages but couldn't!
The formal and doctors today went well - see journal. Could have been a lot worse!
I lost another pound down to 155 on Sat. But then back up to 156 today - probably due to TOTM on Wed.
How were the birthdays? xx
Hey!!! I feel great already and it is still morning!!!! I got up and ate a bowl of cereal then cleaned up a bit and then did an hour of pilates!!!! Then did dishes. Then had my mid morning snack. I love exercixing in the morning, it leaves me full of energy for the rest of the day. I will be going on a walk around 4 this afternoon. And I may go for the first bike ride of the year. hurrrayy!!!! Spring has finally come my way!!!! ooohhh and I will be going out and play with my dog at some point during the day. She has worse cabin fever than I do. Must do my schoolwork at some point too. Already have my meal plan all figured out for today and it is looking good!!!
stephiepops-My birthday was great!!! I got loaded with books by my favorite author. Which is fantastic!! Well, not if you think about how reading doesn't really burn those calories. lol. Oh well. I need to read, if I don't i'll shrivel up.
I am going to be tested this next week, my b-day pie is calling, more like screaming my name. But if I put my mind to something I can do really well. And I really want to lose 2 lbs this week. SO that will keep me from touching it. My reward will come on Sunday, my day off.
Today I had an epiphany today, I don't know why I am stressing over losing this weight, I am going to continue to be eating well and exercising so it will happen when it happens!
So yes ladies no more crying about it for me(please remind me if I forget :)

I am done babysitting da boyz. What a great experience although I am glad it is over.
I am at work by myself not really doing anything but cleaning my desk and prioritizing my week.
My oldest daughter is here visiting from WA so I will spending time with her. I will leave here in awhile and we are going to workout. My brother and his wife (she lives with them) got her a personal trainer for twice a week....indefinately??? She is with them as a last ditch effort to save her life....she is juvi diabetic and I believe she was becoming insulin balimic....not taking insulin so cells do not get sugars for energy so body starts to use fat then lean muscle for energy.....same as starving to death. She is looking great. She is not testing her blood but she is taking her insulin. My SIL is an angel, she is doing so well with my daughter (immature 19.5 yr old). Anyway this long drawn out story does have an end. We are going to workout and she is going to show me some things she has been taught by her trainer. I had a trainer for 3 sessions. My last one was Friday and he worked my legs so hard that they still hurt!!! Yoga helped a bit.
My eating was not the greatest. I did not eat a lot of calories, but what I did eat was not the best.
ameresmom - I ate half the bag of the caramel rice cakes Sunday night. I did not feel very good after that. That was dinner.
Back on track this week......maybe......birthday dinner for husband and son....Applebees has a weightwatchers menu so I will tell them I am taking them there!!!
19 year old wants to cook some dinners...she is becoming more health concious so that should not be so bad.
Zena your bad day made me laugh although I am sure it was not funny to you. Dog food had gotten expensive along with gas so really you kind of had a doubel wammy that day!
Anyway I am going to try and not step on scale until Friday. Doing it everyday can be discouraging.

Well - I had a great/fun weekend, but I'm definitely retaining some water! This week my goal is to drink an extra 4 glasses of water a day, exercise everyday (M-F) and keep my calories below 1400.
I really just want to get down into the 130's. Everything will seem more manageable to me once I'm there.
Krrpt - Don't worry about the meal you made. We all have to LIVE a little. Pie every once in a while is a necessity! :) I wish I had some! You'll definitely meet your goals this week.
Babyd - Awesome job!!!!! That is fantastic! I know not drinkign helps me *and drinking this weekend didn't help me* :)
limona - great job with the loss for you too! I'm jealous - but of course totally excited for you.

amaresmom- you have some great goals going. I hope you can keep them!!! Isn't it wonderful when you ust can't wait until you can step on the scale!!!! I love it. That is how I am feeling right now. Period or not. Glad you are better too. Sure does make my mind at ease knowing I can exercise and not feel worse. When you are sick do you fell like you could just sit and eat a whole bag of chips or somthing along those lines. I end up doing it becasue in my mind I am thinking "well I am sick i need something special" lol. I hate that!!
hey kimanne- didn't see your post before I posted. lol I am keeping my calories down below 1400 too. How are you handling it? Like right now I am hungry only because dinner is late. But when I set my goal for under 1400, I thought I was going to die of hunger!!! But it is going so well. I hope it is the same for you!!!

Guess what I just read in Shape magazine (I know what you are thinking but I left my People at work today) lol Any way I read that May 24th is also the beginning of Swimsuit Season. We are getting a nice head start.

Tonight as soon as I can in the door I did a 2 mile in house walking/strength training video. I feel great and full of energy. maybe I will dance my way through making dinner. My son wants me to find a video that also has kids in it. I have gotten a little selfish with my workouts I even close the door, so I will try to find him some play play weights I saw a walking video for kids on my in demand station.
I was good food wise today; Oatmeal for breakfast with a banana for mid morning snack and a grilled chicken salad for lunch, mid afternoon snack tuna sensations snack pack dinner grilled pork chops and string beans, Some peaches will be my late snack.
Question I have an allowance of 1350 cal per day, say like today I burned 400 cal does that mean I should eat more or how exactly does that work?
I've had an appetite for several days, and it's sure been hard to limit my calories, but I did. I've now been binge free for 14 weeks! Last Monday I weighed 104.0, today 102.0! 2 more lbs lost. :) My scale is loving the .0 and so am I. :)
I finally had my first comment this weekend from someone who said they noticed I had lost a lot of weight. They expressed some concern, but I assured them I was doing this slowly, and have safely been 95 pounds before and very healthy for my 5 ' 0 frame. I've got just 7 lbs to go, and then I'm going to start in on the toning and firming.
I stocked up today on my Lean Cuisines. I can't rave enough about those entree's. They are so delicious, and I only buy the ones that say "No Preservatives." Why would anyone want to pay all that money for Nutri-System?! And I bet they are chock full of preservatives too! Here I can purchase my favorite Lean Cuisines for $ 2.24 each. Still loving my fruits and veggies, and fish and chicken too. Thanks for all your nice posts girls. I enjoy reading them so. Good luck, and have a great week. :)
