march 1st was 324.. only 2 lbs for the month... not the business.. weekends are ruining me...
#322 trainwreck Mar 03 2008 12:02
I have been very bad in Feb. I lost all of 1 pound. Am 309 at the end after being 310 at the start.

I'm messing up on the weekends after having a good week so I'm pretty much stuck.
#323 fayny Mar 03 2008 12:49

Don't even know how it's possible since I didn't think I was bad this month, but this morning I was 251.8 thats an almost 8 lbs gain. :(

#324 sun123 Mar 03 2008 16:16
Thanks guys for the updates.  Sorry that your not moving as you'd like but March is a new month with Spring pending (eventhough our reasonable TX temps now are facing snow potential tomorrow).  At just our 2nd checkin since starting in Jan, we've time to build on previous progress and move forward.

The combined total weight of everyone who weighed in for Mar 1st versus their totals for Feb 1st, gains and losses, is a drop of 139.9 lbs.

Accepting early 04/01 weighins since we ve got Easter two days :D.  No April Fools day jokes for weigh in though :P.

Thursday weigh-in for me - down from 348 to 344.6.  I actually have a schedule Im behind on from end of February gain but hoping to slowly catch up.

Sending support to all who had a bad time last month.  So much of March still ahead of us and knowing what good we can do with the month.  Wishing you good luck and curious how your doing so far this month.

I peeked back at the weight log updates and I am so inspired!  CC has helped me change so much in my life.  Sun, thank you for adding me to the list.  Watching the numbers change gives me so much hope.  I am now 1.5 lbs away from my 60-pound loss, which is the halfway point to my 120-lb loss goal.  With the support from the awesome people on this site who have committed to living a better life, I know we can do it.  YEA, US!!!!!

So cool to see all the progress on this thread.  I was at 368 on the scale this morning!!  CoolCool
#329 sun123 Mar 10 2008 09:04
Thanks Molly - the good times make up for the bad ones (plateaus) and Ive had a clean weekend -

Duke, still have you on my spreadsheet from when everyone first posted for beginning of 2008.  You were at 397 and have made amazing progress!!  Thats a whopping 29 lbs - amazing.

So glad to hear how close you are Tina - Im counting down to my 1/2 as next goal too but have about 30 to lose to get there.  Congrats!

Well, I have been on an eat-a-thon for the past few days. I haven't felt good and have been eating way to many calories. I haven't been eating junk - don't have any in the house - just too much. Trying to get to feeling better. Must be a bug.
#331 sun123 Mar 11 2008 03:35
Ezra, hope this thing passes for you!  Had a bit of a scare tonight with food.  Been really good but low on groceries, shopping in the morn when I got hit with a sugar craving.

No fruit left, no SF pudding and was really thinking a snack bar.  Normally innocent enough but not only due the bad carbs snacks trigger later cravings, my mind was already venturing off into things that shook me up.  I actually picked up my phone to call a friend and remembered having 2 SF fudgesicles in the freezer.  Luckily that was an hour ago and feeling fine now.

Eventhough I know a bad day doesnt hurt anyway, when Ive had them bad days normally become bad weeks.  Looking forward to seeing folks Easter and keeping that in mind as I continue through the month with time to do some good.  :D

lost 5 lbs last week, finally again.. yeah! hahahah weigh in is on friday like always and its my 22cnd birthday... so hopefully I lose again and im gonna get smashed and eat everything but oh well, lol.. Im definately not gonna meet my b-day goal of being under 300.. kinda feel like a failure, but at least Im still on track for the most part. hahahha.. FEB sucked but the future will be great.. good luck to everyone
#333 ezrasmao Mar 11 2008 10:22
I have a quick question for anyone and everyone. Do sugar-free snacks make you crave sweets?  I just wondered how they affected everyone personally.
#334 sun123 Mar 11 2008 14:48
There have been reports from rat studies that suggest the sweetness may prepare the body for a sugar increase and without it, there may be more food comsumption (a simplification of research done with rats.

Personally, Ive experienced JUST the opposite - SF snacks have often been rescued by them during craving moments, like the seriousness of my post #331.  Sometimes after a meal too Im full but Im feeling the need for something sweet still and at low cal SF snack can shut it down so Ive got to strongly say no, doesnt create sweet craving but curbs them for me.  This may not be your or others experience though so Im thinking depends on the person.

Jack, knock yourself out on your birthday :D!  Glad to hear things are going better for you.  Failure - no, just a miscalc on your goal date.  Granted we've more to loss then many but think how much progress youve made - amazing and most would go crazy over such an achievement.
#335 mollymouser Mar 12 2008 04:33

Sugar free jello and sugar free popsicles don't cause me to crave more sweet foods ... but diet soda sure did! So I decided I didn't need all that artificial coloring, caffeine, and sodium .... and switched to beverages without those things!

=^..^= MOLLY

SW 458

march 12: 447.5

I am not happy havng only lost 1.5 in 3 weeks.  In fact I am pretty down about this.

I am going to try to up my calories by 200 or so and increase my work out, if that does not work I will lower them 50 to 100 at a time and see what works for me.

#337 dondra535 Mar 12 2008 16:52

I'm a newbie.

SW on CC 538

Weight today 523

You guys are very inspiring.  Thank you for that.

#338 sun123 Mar 12 2008 18:16
Hey Newbie Dondra !  Ive sent a PM to your mailbox.  Congrats on your 15 lb loss and wishing you continued sucess.

Weigh in tomorrow and trying to do my best. Easter I'll be seeing my brother and some folks who have not seen me since last Easter at my heaviest some 120 lbs heavier.

Sorry to hear about your slowdown Trina.  Ive heard increasing calories can result in a 1-2 week slowdown or possibly gain but understand its temporary while the metabolism adjusts.  Your right to work with it and see which best fits you.

Saturday is halfway through March.  Good month, bad month, we are working towards a long term loss so hang in there all!
#339 dondra535 Mar 12 2008 19:42

wow, it's 15lbs, lol.  I kept counting from 535 cos that's what I thought I was, until the scale told the truth.  That's a good first week :)  I'm not looking forward to the slow down that is to come.  Another 23 lbs and I am getting a hair do make over.  I have really long hair now and I'm thinking about an angled bob with some highlights.

Thanks for the warm welcome:)

#340 sun123 Mar 13 2008 14:24
Thats an amazing 1st week!  You may find your second week still to be a somewhat strong loss too.  Great idea setting a makeover goal - bob with highlights sounds so cute!

Weighin Thursday for me at 342.4, another 2.2 gone!  Hoping for 3 lbs next week to cross into 330s for Easter.
