Just be sure your weigh ins are in bold so that I won't miss any! If you are weighing in at home on a day other than Friday, please wait until Friday to post your week's weigh in so that I don't miss any.
There may be changes, new challenges, new games, etc. as time goes by. I will always make announcements on this thread header and in a post here, so that it will be noticed, hopefully. :-)Members - You must weigh in at least once a month to remain on the member list. If you are going on vacation or there is some reason you will not be able to weigh in for over one month, please email me and let me know.
The Member List shows your starting/current/goal weights the followed by how far you are from your goal. I've broken the list into categories by weight to lose before you reach your goal. Once you reach your goal, you will be moved to the Maintenance area of the list and you may then weigh in as often or little as you'd like, just please try to keep it on Fridays.

for lunch i had a big roast chicken sandwich, made with home made mayonnaise. I can't really complain as it was utterly divine!
I am so ashamed... Ranting and raving that numbers are dwindling only to disappear for two weeks in a row. Sorry folks, I was - again - traveling. Went to Hanoi and Ninh Binh province to visit some gorges in a Natural park, with our daughter who was visiting us. Great scenery and wonderful time, in spite of the heat and about a million steps we had to climb to visit caves and the ancient pagodas hidden in many of them... And those steps are carved into the rock and each about 25" high...
In spite of all the exercise, I am afraid my weight went up again. It's not the food, because we were in an area devoid of modern facilities, so we didn't really splurge, food-wise. It's the moist heat. We are always in dehydration mode, as the sweat pours freely from our bodies. Like living in a giant open-air sauna. We tried to drink as much as we could, but there is a limit to the amount of water your body can process I guess. I am from the Alps area in Europe, so I was built to RETAIN heat, not ventilate... Oh well, that leaves me the hope of shedding pounds when I return to more moderate climes.

P.S: Today I had my first Ch'i Kung class. Temperature was 97F... My bare feet were squishing on the tiles... I didn't even feel the quart of water I drank when the class was over. If only a bit of me could just melt!!! LOL Still walking one and a half hour every morning.
I think I'm seeing all brand new names on here since the last time I posted ... sorry so slack, and nice to meet all the new people, hope you don't mind me coming back in.
As has happened on a lot of Monday mornings, I started yesterday off trying to be "good" and I was - got a full hour of exercise in which is shocking for me - and had a slightly too-big dinner afterwards, but it was healthy food.
I'm STILL at 124.9lbs (just under 125, ha ha). Hopefully it'll be a proper 124.0 by Friday. It would be great if someone could harass me a bit into exercising more before then.
Schaufel, your trip sounds amazing. Scale might not have moved but I bet you built up some hardcore climbing muscles.

I have been using the Jillian Michaeles book "winning by Losing" for the past month. One of my friends and I have been spending at least 2 hours at the gym 5 days a week. We do 35 min of cardio and then circut train for the next 1-1.5 hours. I've been following the workouts 100% yet I don't seem to see the scale move as much as when I didn't go to the gym at all. I don't get it? I eat healthy, not much processed food, don't really drink, and stick to about 1500-1600 calories a day. I do however feel better and notice that I can lift more that when I started.
Schaufel, that sounds like an amazing trip!! Its strange how weather can really effect us.

so 133lb here...was 134 last week. I am pretty much thinking that I am at this weight is for life , which is ok...for the most part I feel pretty good.
To tell you what, I am more disgusted with my icky stretch marks and just feel like that ruins my thoughts of myself in a bikini. I have been using bio-oil but can that stuff really work???
Weighed in today @ 122.75--down 2 pounds from last week. Not sure how that happened. By next week I could be back up those 2 pounds. I've been stuck for about 2 months...maybe I've got my metabolism kicked into gear again?
Ahhh...the stretchmarks. I was just showing mine to a co-worker the other day. We were complaining about baby belly stretchmarks. I have a NICE star pattern all the way around my belly button. Never knew that stretchmarks can be bumpy and hard. It feels like a calcium deposit within the marks. Very gross. Yeah...bikini thoughts have been gone for a long time for me.
Hello there. I guess this thread is dying. Oh well, it was nice while it worked. I haven't been the most regular contributor, because of frequent traveling, but I tried. I'll keep posting till they tell me to stop...
This is not the official weighing day, but I am not sure to be there on Friday, and I missed Friday last, so here goes:
As of 5/14, my weight is at 183 lbs.
That was my starting weight, but with all the trips and visitors, the heat and the many restaurant meals, on top of hypothyroidism, I guess that's already an achievement! LOL
I started a course of Ch'i Gong (aka T'ai Ch'i) last week. There are muscles I didn't know existed that hurt but I really feel good. Helps with your breathing and your general level of energy. My Chinese doctor told me my spleen is "yang-empty" and my Ch'i level very low in the kidneys. That's probably why I retain so much water. He gave me some exercises to "tonify" my spleen yang. Next week I'll tell you how I am doing!!!

This has been a HORRID month for my weight loss efforts. The first weekend I had an extended girls weekend away where we watched movies and ate ... lots of chocolate. After I was through the temporary wieght bump, the real weight gain was 1 pound.
Last weekend was my birthday and Mother's day. Birthday alone would have been a little much, but then we had a big family get together, potluck style for Mother's Day. Between the two, totally blew it. So here I am, up 1.6 pounds from where I was at the end of April.
And then out of the blue, one day later, I'm 155.0. That's only .2 above my low at the end of April. I'm re-energized to be good, stick the plan, and see if I can still lose a couple pounds by the end of the month.

SO I DIDNT MAKE MY GOAL OF 127 FOR GRADUATION ~ TODAY IS THE CEREMONY~ BUT ITS ONLY MY FAULT. IM NOT VERY STRICT, DIDNT EXERCISE OUTSIDE OF MOWING AND DANCING WHEN IVE BEEN DRINKING. I STAY WITHIN MY CALORIES AS FAR AS FOOD IS CONCERNED BUT THEN I OVER DO IT SOMETIMES WITH THE ALCOHOL...WINE AND BEER.
I PRETTY MUCH FIGURED OUT THAT I CAN MAINTAIN WHICH IS AWESOME!
Monoxi, your idea of re-starting the thread is very good, but who would do it? I have a lifestyle that doesn't make me very reliable: in about a month time, I will go back to Europe for our annual home-leave. I'll stay there for about 2 months, then I have to go to Canada with my youngest son, to see him set up in college there. Then I'll return to Saigon sometime at the end of August/early September to move house - again!!! I already moved last August... Not the best position to be a moderator... You seem to be very busy yourself, so no one can ask you to do it. Who else? Anyone out there?
Otherwise we'll have to shop around on the Community list and see if there is a working open thread that would still accept us. Can't see an alternative other than continuing as we are. Any other ideas?
The drop earlier in the week was a fluke. Sigh. Basically, I've been bouncing around between 155 and 157 for five weeks.
A new thread would be nice, but I wouldn't be very reliable either. Too busy.
Just started Jazzercise class last night, so a little concerned about the scale going up, but they say that's normal. I'll be building muscle, which is better than skinny fat, right? I'm off for the summer from teaching, so I'll have more time to concentrate on exercise and TRYING to eat and snack healthy.
I wouldn't be good about keeping the thread updated. I think all someone would need to do would be to copy and paste Mandi's orginal thread into another one and be the new "manager". I just don't have time for it. Just logging the calories takes enough of my time during the day.

I got about 20 lbs to go. I've been losing 3-4 lbs a month on average and I'm trying to upper it... as I'm getting married on Sept 6, 2008 so I really want to lose some more weight.
i havent posted in a couple weeks...i was on vacation. I am still at 134...sitting there for quite some times. I just graduated and am currently working 64hr between 2 jobs so I am tryin to adjust and get back into my exercising. I will do it! I plan on starting my runs again in the morning and am going to try to do them sat, sun, tues and thursdays. i want to start riding too like to work in the mornn but I am not too agressive and have to travel some pretty busy roads...so I dont know about that.
WOW hanshock thats great! you must really have some self control...how do you stick with it so well?? I am extremely envious! lol
oh please let me join ive been looking so hard on calorie count for any 5'3" buddies
