| Lose 10 lbs by JULY 4th, 2008! | ||

| EDITED:::: I am changing the post title to reflect our new goal date and thanking all who participated and asked me to keep this awesome post going!!!!! ( : xoxoxoxox love you, girls! -------------------------- I was given the ultimate gift for Xmas --- a vacation to LA and Vegas. I want to lose 10 lbs before we fly out on May 24th. Weekly weigh ins? Hi everyone- I love yoga!! I do it at least 20min a day. I found yagomazing on itunes podcasts, and they are free!! I save all the sessions on my computer and just do them from there. The instructor (yogi) is really good and goes really slow and explains the poses. He also has a website called yagomazing.com. You will all really love it. If you do not get it done in the morning then at least do it in the evening, that is when I get it done. I get off work at 4 so I can workout then do yoga afterwards. I also bought a poweryoga DVD that kicks my butt. It is a great workout. I have been stalled on my weight for a few weeks now so I am going to cut calories on the advice of my doctor. It is below my BMR so we will see how it works. I decided not to go to the wedding so my SIL could go. Her MIL backed out on babysitting and her husband is a CPA and is working 15 hour days. My SIL needs to go because all of her siblings will be there (my husband is from a family of 7 children) and it is her brother getting married. My husband is bummed I will not be going but my SIL needs to be there and I get to bond with my nephews age 1, 1 and 4. I plan on fun cardio playing with da boys!! I better get to work! Kim |

You guys are so motivating! I've never tried yoga. I want to go find a yoga dvd. Anyone recommend a good one for beginners? I'm still sick. They sent me home from work today. I was training a new girl. Oh well. Don't think i'll be getting in any exercise today. But I did buy an elliptical. Now I just have to put it together - if I have the energy I'll do it tonight , maybe tomorrow. I'm gonna lay down now - would sleep but I don't think my daughter will let me

Thanks for the motivation everyone!! Week one is over and I lost 1.5 lbs. Today's weigh-in 193.5!! I'm even more motivated to eat healthy this coming week. I did errands this morning and went by our local farmer's market and stocked up on veggies and fruit. They had so much good stuff, I could have bought more than my kitchen can hold!! Lunch today was zuchinni and mushrooms steamed with a bit of Mrs. Dash spicy seasoning and a bit of butter, a banana and an apple. It was really delicious. I love SPRING!! |

YAY for spring and fresher veggies and frit -- and variety thereof! ( : I worked out inside today instead of running. Squats, plies, abs, arms, and pushups. woo CHicken and veggies for dinner. YUM! I hope I can hang on until Friday -- saw 177 on the scale this morning! : D Hump day is over, ladies! HURRAH! |

hey ladies, So I have digital cable here in NYC and I decided after seeing all the hoopla about yoga that hey I'll try it "how hard could it be"? Boy was I wrong by the time I was finished I was sweating like a pig and bent out of shape ( pun intended) So yes I will join you guys for 15min of beg. yoga. I also get up very early, as I have to be to work at 7am. So I will get up at 5:30 instead of 5:45 and see if I can hang! Thanks for the extra challange! Yum strawberries and whipped topping, I use to have that on Atkin rasberries/blueberries and whipped cream! Yum Yum! Zuccini and Mrs Dash! |

mmmmm fresh farmers market veggies! i love carrots from the farmers market - they taste soooo much better than the grocery store ones. well i don't know how to do yoga, so i'm just going to strech and maybe some lunges for the booty. I've been thinking about getting a dvd tho, any more recomendations? Puppyk - I will check out your guy (oops, excuse me yogi) too!

Hi ladies! Looks like everyone has done a grand job this afternoon! Well done! immom/lemn - the best yoga DVDs to start with is Gaiam's AM/PM Yoga for Beginners. AMAZING! This is what I started with and it's super easy to follow. I think you can actually get them at Target or Walmart. RAH! The forum won't let me post the yoga pics. Sorry girlies! Food choices have been ok tonight. Made pizza, but didn't over do it. Will check in later!!! |

everyone is doing so well!!! what dedication we all have! I hope that those of you that were down/sick yesterday are feeling better today :) My legs are really sore from my workout yesterday... I accomplished cardio this morning with some leg lifts/crunches for the abs... weight is up a tiny bit but I'm not too concerned.. I think my muscles are just retaining water... keep up the great work everyone!!!!! :D |

Well yesterday was my first day back on track and starting this challenge, and If fell so good!!!! Yesterday I ate so well and I didn't sneak any food that was extra, nothing. That is my weakness, picking at stuff and it ussually isn't the good stuff. And I did pilates yesterday, only a half hour though because I am still sorta sick. Then my sister and I went out and walk, briskly, for 50 minutes. SO by the end of the day I felt sooooo good. And motivated. This Saturday is my birthday though. So I hope all will be well. No ice scream, by the way did you know has sea weed in it. And I will have only one peice of pie. Other than the pie I will be eating the exact same. So I think I should be okay. I'll do extra pilates. It has been so long since I have felt good about what I have ate or how my exercise has gone, so needless to say I feel great. Thanks for the motivation everyone!!!!!!! DO you think a Fillet Mignon would be bad to eat, I mean it is my birthday. |

Sign me up too! Great goal date May 2-4! that is very do'able (i hope) if i can get the first 10 lbs going then i will have more hope...i need motivation like you. I have joined a swim class for Fridays, in addition to Hockey Friday nights...now i just need to pick the weights up and get moving more to make this goal.
