xx_morgi, how long have you been doing the workout routine? Is it possible that you are just now started to add muscle? Have you taken body measurements? Don't forget that muscle weighs more than fat and even though your weight might go up temporarily, your measurements will decrease.
This happened to me about one month into my working out regularly. It could be too, that your diet, although low in calories, might be high in sodium causing you to retain water.
I am going to pretend that today is monday...my body is really starting to respond. I didn't work out at all last week...starting with being sick and then just couldn't get my butt out of bed, but I lost more! Dropped to 194.4 this morning! Yesterday it was 195!!!!!!!!!! I hovered there for a while so even though it may go back up a bit, I am still happy about my new "low"

hi kaufmkk, i've been doing this diet and workout since May07, i'm still loosing inches so i know that i really shouldn't moan, i don't think that it could be water retention as i do drink loads of water (stick a pin in me and i'll become a fountan) and i don't tend to eat any salt or add it to my cooking (the mane reasons for this is because my daughter is still too young for it and when i work out and start to sweat the salt comes out too and stings my face). I just got really dis-hartened when the scales went up xxxx
I've been getting back on track after the horrible weekend. I am back down to 227 today and am feeling much better. All that salty junk food and little water over the weekend made me feel all bloated. I have a workout class tonight, that usually wears me out but I feel good when I'm done with it.
It is snowing here...when is spring going to get here? I'm so sick of winter.
Good morning all!
The weekend is approaching...visiting my sister and I am concerned that I will gain a bit....it is hard when you routine is thrown off.
ok, so I think I figured out a pattern on my binging/falling-off-the-wagon days...
Every time I dont eat breakfast, and feel completely and totally hungry, I end up fixing more food than I need, and then I feel guilty for fixing all that food and just eat it. When I've binged, I then feel like I've failed for the day, and throw the rest of it out of the window, eating whatever for dinner.
So, now that I'm identifying some of my weaknesses, I'm going to list them to see what Ya'll think.
Not eating Breakfast or snacks-I end up binging when over hungry. Snacking while fixing a meal, etc
Fast food addiction-I have a hard time choosing the salad over the burger. Also, if you go at breakfast, there is virtually NO healthy options. Places like Taco Bell, that are cheap, offer a fresco style, but its still high in fat and sadly includes ONIONS, which I'm allergic to.
Sickness-When I'm sick, I eat whatever and dont exercise, because of how i feel.
Peer Pressure-If everyone else is doing it, it SHOULD be ok for me to, right? LOL!
Sweet Tooth-GAH! I love LOVE LOVE sweets! Usually can avoid if I have a tasty yogurt or cereal I can munch dry.
Exercise, or lack there of- I'm having a REALLY hard time getting inspired and sticking with an exercise plan. In fact, this is how UN inspired I was yesterday, heh. I ate ice cream watching the biggest loser! *Face palm*
I know i can do this, but for some reason, I'm getting off to a rocky start.
Although, I did bribe my husband into us ditching the fast food and spending the money on healthier food, and the extra we save putting in a savings account....
the bribe?
I told him the money in savings would eventually go to a big screen tv ![]()

Hi everyone!
175hereicome regarding your March 10th post . . .
Can I ask . . . How many calories are you eating a day . . . if you don't mind telling. Your progress has been terrific! and I keep getting stalled out. I work out about 45-60 minutes 5/7 days . . . .
P.S. does wine ever enter into your diet? I think that it may be affecting my progress too. I usually have three or four glasses a week, but that may be enought to hinder the burn ![]()

Last week 211.8,
This weeek 212.4 (It's been a few weeks)
Good Morning!!
I weighed in yesterday, and I didn't lose last week. Maybe a mixture of that darn TOM and all the salty food I ate in response to my TOM madwoman cravings. At least it wasn't a gain, and I didn't go too far off my plan.
Today is a new day!! I took my son for a walk downtown. It's my day off and we usually just play around the house, but the weather is so nice today. He really enjoyed it and I think he'll be ready for a looooong nap!!
I have decided that I will have a "cheat" meal once every two weeks as a reward. I too am ADDICTED to fast food. Before I gave myself a kick in the pants, we were eating fast food for dinner or lunch two or three days a week. (and I mean whopper with cheese king sized fries please kind of fast food) So, I am making a promise to myself to eat a fast food lunch or dinner if I can stay on my plan for two weeks at a time. Maybe that's silly, but if I know that I CAN have that cheeseburger later, I won't break down every other day and get one!!
I really do feel better about myself. I am wearing a pair of jeans that I couldn't button a month ago!! yipee
Hello all,
I must be getting old. My TOM seems to be getting worse. I was taken down by a massive migraine Sunday and was finally back to work yesterday. On top of that all I could stomach was my comfort food - bread. I am still holding at 200.6. I have not incorporated a excercise program yet. My treadmill is broken and it is too darn cold (MN winter never ends) to walk outside. Don't like the clubs.
Heather P - I agree with the cheat thing. I allow myself to have a small portion of D & F graded foods once in a while so I don't feel deprived. Even though I have a cheat it seems like I still stay within my calorie count. Portion size is the biggest thing I have gained from CC. It really makes me feel empowered.

Hi all,
My name is Di and I would love to join in with this group. I am 48, and currently weigh 227 and my goal is to lose 70 pounds. I have yo-yo'd since the mid 1980's with an initial weight loss goal to lose 10 lbs, lost, gained 20, lost 20 gained 30, quit smoking, gain/loss cyled my way up to a whopping 230. Whew, that's exhausting!
I've found an exercise I love, Zumba and have joined a gym that offers multiple classes, exercise machines, and circuit training. My plan is to schedule with a personal trainer in the next couple of weeks to add a weight training program into the mix.
The picture on my profile page is about 30 pounds ago and 8 years ago...

Let me introduce you to ZUMBA! It is aerobic blend of salsa, calypso, latin music, mixed in with some funk. Check out the web site http://www.zumba.com/ and the Today show segment http://video.msn.com/?mkt=en-US&brand=msn bc&vid=adf2019b-4c1b-4fb1-b0e9-d575547938 a6 . If I can get my food under control...I'll make it this time.

Di-Wow! I've got two left feet and their pigeoned toed (i.e. i cant dance! LOL!) But it sounds so energetic and fun!
Kae-Me too. It happens, though. Sending you strong willed thoughts!
Anyone else see on biggest loser weight loss tips on Tuesday? He said they feed the contestants one high calorie meal a week after weight in to jump start their metabolism, and keep them from wanting to cheat! His exact words were "So, go ahead and have that scoop of mac n cheese once a week!" (Bob said it!)
I was like "HUZZAH!" LOL! So, that should help me keep on track. Here I've been thinking "Mac n cheese, never again*cry*" but now i can think "Mac n cheese...on friday....at dinner!"
Sorry, got excited! YIKES! LATE FOR WORK BYE!

Absolutely rdneckwife! I had Pizza Hut pizza last night and do so once every other week or so. You are more likely to stick to a diet if you still get to enjoy things you love every now and then. I have been treating myself with foods I love once a week or once every two weeks from the start and I have lost 55 lbs. It works and helps you stay on track as long as you get right back on your diet after and don't get carried away. I don't even feel like I'm on a diet really, and I'm doing great.
I also find low-calorie alternatives to my favorite foods to stop the cravings. Like chocolate ice cream. Fudgcycle makes a pretty good fudgcycle with only 40 calories a bar. mmmmm
