Kirie - Finals?  Wow.  Early.  I just finished two midterms, did all right with them, I think... I hope you do well!

LadyLiz - I bet you're still fine.  If you keep an eye on what you're putting in your mouth, you'll still lose some.  I can't really count when at my parents' house, because my parents put too many ingredients in everything.  Hearty soups, thick pizzas.

Lilsmiter:  Very nice on 9 days!  I haven't had fast food since Wednesday, so not too bad for me.  Won't have any for a few more weeks, until I crave a hamburger.  Sorry I coughed on ya.  I'll cover my mouth soon.  As for enabling... sounds like my grandma!  She's like... "You've gained so much weight... Here, I made whiskey cookies and biscotti." (<--Italian gram).

Sure sure one burger every now and then wont kill ya. Your grandma haha, ya that's what i am talking about. It's cute and funny on the surface... But imagine if you had to live with that. YUCK!  On a different topic, I eat about 1200-1300 too... but it is my Base... it's my laid in bed most of the day intake.  Or sat on my ass at work all day.  When I work out and stuff it goes all the way up to 2000... depending on what I did.  I don't know if it is healthy, but that's the way it is.

 

Well I managed to put my Tread mill together! Unfortunately since I am sick, that wiped me out for the day! I have SO much stuff to do, and I have the flu wouldn't you figure... the one weekend you really got to work is the one where you can't hardly get out of bed. It's Just about time for my period too. UGH. That is JUST what I need... I could just skip it (thank you Nuva-ring). I think I might. It would be next week, and Next weekend I am going to a Big kung fu festival in Portland...

Kirie and Leo: Finals and midterms... Oh thank heaven I am 29, and that stuff is behind me. Cheers for age!

Yay! 180.4 today! And the weirdest thing is I didn't count calories ALL WEEKEND.

Great Job Sharky!!  I'm not weighing in until Friday (officially). I have a hard time not getting on the scale though.  Right now my focus is getting back on track with all my logging.  I did great yesterday and today.  Hopefully I can keep it going!!!

Leo~ the boy is how I refer to my boyfriend. I could call him my boyfriend, or the bf, or even his name (Jacob), but I like the boy as my loving name for him. He is THE boy for me, afterall.

its been a while since i've updated, i fell off track for a while, but i am back on! last time i updated i think i was 176.8 and today i am 173. Its taken two months to lose 10 lbs.

i cant wait to be in the 160s.
Lilsmiter!  Wendy's foiled me yesterday, but I had a regular 99-cent burger, and it was fine by me.  Sick and about to be on your period?  Oh... I feel very sorry for you!  I hope you're not too weak to do well in your Kung-Fu festival.

Sharky!  Great!  I can't really count calories when at my parents' house, but I try to pick what is right, unless they take me to dinner, and then I may not even have a choice in the matter.

Ladyelizabeth - do you obsess about the scale?  If you're not obsessing, I don't see any reason against weighing more often.  My scale measures to the tenths place (such as 178.3, like my current weight), and I like to see the number fluctuate downwards little by little every morning.

Kory - welcome back!  Looks like you're on track, though.  No matter the speed of the loss, it's still loss and you still do a little happy dance when the scale is a little bit less.

Today, another eat-out day, but I picked a vegetarian burrito a the Mexican restaurant and only ate half, only to wrap it up and know my father will eat it in a few hours when he gets home.


Leopard- Unfortunately I do obsess about the scale.  I would like one more accurate like yours.  It's not too bad if I can manage to weigh once a day, but I will get on the scale like 4 or 5 times a day.  Get up, get on the scale.....drink coffee and pee alot, get on the scale.....shower, get on the scale....(you get the idea)  It practically kills me to only weigh once a week.  My husband has actually had to hide it from me in the past!  I'm still doing well with my logging though, I am very proud! Smile  Everyone keep up the good work!
LadyLiz - I understand.  I get on the scale when I get up in the morning, then I tuck it under my dresser for the rest of the day, and I don't think about it the rest of the time.  I'm up a pound today, though.  No wonder, I had a 50 surplus BEFORE I fell victim to a Kit Kat bar.

Leo Ya, I am totaly skipping my period this month.  No point if it's going to mess me up for the festival trip, and the like!

 187 ~ 188 Today, I weighed Three times but the weight just kept going up so I decided to Quit while I was ahead.

I am Amazed how long it is taking to Really get over this cold.  I felt a lot better Sunday and Monday, but I went home on Monday and went straight to sleep... I didn't get up untill around 8pm.  I thought about getting on the Tread mill last night but Agh Nas is right I got to get over this thing.

On a Better note I started using Proactiv for my skin and it worked Pretty good last month, and this month I baught a Nock off "Acne Free"  And it works EVEN BETTER!!  I have 2 zits!  It's Amazing!  Just 2 Zits!  They are Pretty big, but There are only 2 So I don't give a damn!  AND they are getting better!

So I put a little powder on and some eye makeup... I never could before because I would get THE WORST breakouts after a day of makeup.

Well Tonight I WAS going to ask a guy I like in Kung Fu out.  But because I slept all day yesterday I have to finish my Teams costumes for my Work's Costume contest Bowling day...  Oil and gas industry companies have LOTS of parties.  So that will have to wait untill Tomarrow Night.  Maybe my Skin will be even clearer by then!

I just Hate all of this sleep... I am so afraid my muscles are turning into Mush!  Ah I'll be ok.

176.6 this morning and 34.5% bf and 47% h20
Got the boy to go work out with me last night. All we did was cardio, but I'm sore this morning (right thigh and left calf..Weiiirdd!)

I can't wait to be my goal. I can't wait to be in single digit clothes. -sighs-
On the bright side I am a 12 in almost all jeans. Except my favorites (which don't lie to me), Lucky Brand Jeans. I'm a 14 (32) in those. -sighs again- Ah well. Just have to work a little bit harder!!

 

I'm a little late, but I'd like to join too!  182lbs today - goal 140lbs by August - may be too soon, but I'm walking each day too.  Just started the weight loss today!

Nas and I are almost the same size!  Let's put together a clothes swap!  Haha...  I'm about a size 12-14, depending on brand. I don't have favorite brands, just favorite pairs of jeans. I wear a lot of Goodwill, so if it's a certain brand, you're not going to find two of them if you really like them.

Lilsmiter - go for the period skip.  And I hope you do all right.  As for your acne, have you tried the no-lactose approach?  It didn't work for me, but I've seen it work for a lot of people.  But I did notice that a change in my eating habits did help get rid of some of mine.  Is Acne-Free at Walmart or something?

Lisa - That's about my goal too.  I want to be at 150 by the end of the school year, which is May 15, and hopefully drop 10 more over the summer (the last of my plan is damn near impossible in the southeastern US because in the summer it's from 90 - 100 degrees F outside and all you want to do is veg in the nice AC).  But welcome in!

Thanks for the welcome!  Yeah, I'm trying to set is all up - after I get to my ideal weight I'm going to treat myself with a new hair style and clothe shopping with the girls and maybe a manicure, who knows!  lol 

All I know is I'm tired of looking in the mirror at someone who doesn't feel or look like the old me. 

SurprisedI do know this - and if anyone else has experienced this, please share - but when I was growing up I was a skinny girl and into my young adult hood I was also fit and thin.  People always told me how beautiful I was, right.  But it always made me feel so uncomfortable because I really didn't see myself as some hot stuff.  I'm more humble in nature.  But I was always a little self conscious (although I wouldn't really even hint that to others around me - but inside I knew I wasn't like my dog picture here, but I didn't see myself as some model either). 

Ok with that being said - now that I am a little over 40lbs of the weight I was normally as a young adult (not too old yet just 33), I look back at my photos of when I was thin and think - "wow, I really wasn't all that bad and I would do anything to look like that again!" 

So here's my theory -

I never appreciated my good health and thin body when I had it.  Now it's gone, I look back and want to just slap myself silly!  When I have my body back in shape, I'll say this - I WILL appreciate it and also be confident about me.  NOT conceded, but I won't waste those healthy years in a self conscious mode ever again. 

Has that happened to anyone else?

Lisa - Yeah I've felt that before.  I was about 140 and I was self conscious about that.  For me, that's about a size 8 - 10.  Oh that'd be nice.  40 pounds up, yes, that's my story too.

I guess it can be looked at like this; 40lbs isn't much to lose compared to others.  A friend of mine was 210 and only 5'7" and she had to lose much more than that and did it within a year and is now back to her normal weight.  So I figure if others like that in my friends situation can do this, I and we all sure can as well.

It's sheer determination that gets me and then I lose that when I get upset over something.  Then I have a bad habit of going into a "forget about it" mood.  Which when I write this, is actually pretty sad.  lol

I just need something to look forward to (hence the makeover and night out on the town after shopping with the girls) and also a place to confess and post updates so people can hold me accountable (I will hold myself to that as well, but it helps for others to read what my goals are too I think). 

All my friends now are in a size 3 to 8 and most of them around a six!  Tongue out  Only two had weight gain after they berthed their children and the rest bounced back to skinny bones.  I have one who is overweight but she's been as such since a child. 

I don't know...I just want to get back to me again and feel good, look good and be able to run around like a 17 year old without feeling like my knees are going to bend in half!  lol

Times coming and just around the corner.  I just wanted to post and share and also become accountable for my efforts or lack there of to "push" me into success for once.

179.2 this morning! I don't know what it is right now, because I just ate Chinese food and I'm scared of seeing what happened X(   But I guess one mess up shouldn't be enough to ruin a good couple of weeks.

On the other hand, I enjoyed every bite.

Hi all finally managed to get the phoneline fixed and internet back so I can get back to logging in everyday, I've been bad while i've been away and gained back 2lbs but on a good note I stopped smoking almost 4 weeks ago now so the extra couple lbs doesn't bother me too much.

Hi sammii08 - I just joined yesterday myself.  But as a "smoker" I have to congratulate you BIG TIME!  Four weeks, shoot - you're over the hump and well on your way to nicotine freedom!  I also commend you for quiting while you are trying to lose weight as well.

You should change your form name to BraveOne!

Anyway, just wanted to say congrats on that!  

To sharkythesmurf - ahh, one day of eating a little of what you like won't kill it all for you - so no sweat!  Laughing

Thanks for the congrats, not doing too bad so far which is mainly due to me being the only smoker in the house so I havent had to be around anyone thats smoking in front of me yet. Hopefully by the time I stop avoiding my friends and family I will be ok.
