Morning people.  I over ate yesterday really bad.  Im not even weighin myself this morning.  Today will be better and I will show will power.  No snow here but its cold and Im trying not to use my heater.  lucky my house is well insulated and hasnt dropped below 62 degrees.
It must be painful to talk out your BUTT but thats exactly what the Walmart manager and headquarter reps have been doing.  Ive contacted them over my SB dinners and was finally told that due to slow supply, Walmart isnt carrying them any longer.

O'rly?  Yesterday grocery shopping, I went to my old frozen SB area to pay my condolences when there were 8  slots for the new SB 'Living" (instead of 'Diet') dinners.  Two types were already stocked which I greedily grabbed up.  The shelf markers, indicated meals I knew but aha - they'd dropped from 2.50 to 1.99.  Granted they seem to be smaller too.

Apparantly "the supplier cant keep up with supply" is the default excuse that didnt require any checking into this but there are more effective ways to communicate then talking out your butt.  Im just thankful I bothered to chekc.  Us bad cooks have needs!

I was wondering how you were doing Violet.  The large weight loss associated with phase1 isnt likely for those with less to lose so it can be misleading.  Great that you did well though and your still on board!

Your really closing in on those holiday lbs Rachael.  Im sure its getting old but what a wonderful trip you experienced and now the weights on its way out.

I wonder if they remembered insulation in my house Sarah.  Without heat, it drops to 55 and the upstairs in summer has hit 100 without AC - the heat just traps up there due to a cathedral ceiling and spread through the bedrooms.  Kiki spends summer downstairs.  Nice thinking about the heat now though.

Dinners, I have dinners!

I'VE LOST 75 POUNDS IN FIVE MONTHS OF DIETING!

I feel like I need to sit down and write a Thank You Note to the woman I was 5 months ago (in August) ... that brave woman who finally took that first step of deciding to change her life and try -- yet again -- to lose weight. I am sure she was scared, and pessimistic, and filled with doubt about her ability to do this ... yet she was still willing to try. First one meal. Then one day. Then one week. Then two weeks. Then a month. She bought vegetables. She bought a scale. She bought a bike. She bought a treadmill. (And she's been having a lot of fun buying new clothes!)  Along the way she's learned a lot about perseverance. And nutrition. And cooking. And meal planning. And exercise. And dieting. And she's made a lot of wonderful friends along the way, too. She hasn't walked this journey alone ... her wonderful husband and dozens and dozens of friends have supported her, motivated her, encouraged her, dieted along with her, and kept  her going.

=^..^= MOLLY

Molly, I know her and will pass along your appreciation :D.  BTW shes lost 75 lbs since then so you might not recognize her!

I hadnt done my BMI since starting, which at 5'6" was an insane 75.  Now Im at 57 but my goal weight 175 will still have me above 'healthy' with 28 (the healthy max is 25).  Course I'll see when I get much closer but I see myself using weight and proportion over BMI ultimately as the deciding factor.
Morning  and burrr its cold,  I slept with 3 comforters last night  I wonder if being cold burns fat.

Molly congrats on the 75lb loss!!!! your Awesome!!!

Rachel Ive never tried sweet potatoe fries before are they different than just plain old baked ones or do you dip them in something and then bake?

Jayne The people at stores can be pains in the butt.  I always thought the customer is always right.  Thats not the case anymore.  In walmart here they have the same product marked at different prices.  Then they complain when you call them on it.  HELLLO get your S*** together then we wont have a problem.  Sorry, mini rant but you know what I mean.

Have a wonderful day on the beach... just wear your cover up to stay warm.

Is it supposed to get this cold on the beach?  Lets see - Tshirt, dress, thermal shirt, fleece and Im inside HA!  Expecting some relief later.  Yesterday mail - elec bill from $178 to $344, Im thinking the coldest month will be behind us shortly.  Im thinking of having a friend check the insulation for me - see what he thinks.

Ive heard of the sweet potato fries but never have seen them on menu.  So nice to have a restocked fridge but thinking of offering eating out to Kiki in return for some serious clean up.  Its really been months since we've restauranted although her dad always does but they just recently started seeing him (she was avoiding him over the holiday - issues).

Picked up fruit yesterday for me, to Kiki's surprise.  Unfortunately I alwasy considered fruit something you ate on a diet (bad attitude) but never really appreciated it on a diet before like I do now.  Ive really come to appreciate the sweetness of a pear or apple sometime after dinner.  Funny how mindsets change.  Blankets to all!
we are frozen here too!  ugh!

today is day 5 on SB, and despite a massive cheat day yesterday (everything from a piece of chocolate to white corn tortilla chips!) I am still down 5.5 lbs over the course of the week, down 3.5 since starting SB.

Ill take it.

And I LOVE sweet potato fries, I make them at home a lot.  You can also make a yummy curry sauce to go with them (light sour cream, light mayo, curry powder, salt) or cinnamon style sauce.  Yum.  My fave way tho is to toss them with a little oil and sea salt, bake, then enjoy with malt vinegar.  Yum.
While I was on the phone, Kiki brought me a plate with a tortilla chip and cooked ground beef / veg-all mix.  She knows I always reject her and left it on my desk while I talked.  I ended up biting it and remembered the canned chipolte she had bought as it seared through my mouth.  It was like getting smacked on the hand (or burned on the tongue).  There went that temptation (not that it was personally tempting - more of a guilt thing since Kiki made it, which normally doesnt work with me).

Im happy for you Drea!  I recently had a friend tell me how they discovered curry.  I remember it vaguely, trying to think whether it was spicy like hot as in burning or just strong flavored.

Alice thought I was crazy tonight walking when I gave her my wool coat, and went on to remove my fleece to walk with my short sleeved dress.  Back at the house, I felt ugh, it feels warm in here.  That usually lasts 5-10 minutes though but now cold with my fleece, I can relate to her reaction of me outside.  Rachael, how do you have heat with ice on your inside windows?  Yikes, that sounds freezing!  Will see what I can find online about leaks.
Hiya everybody.  How goes it.  Almost made the kids go to school this morning.  then remembered that its a holiday.  Bacon.... how do I resist.  thats what Im cooking this morning for the kids and It makes the whole house smell for hours.  I love bacon.... at least there arnt any carbs in it.
Hey,

How is everyone??  sorry I've been MIA - work has been crazy (think I need a holiday!) and havent had time to say hi!

So how is everyone doing??

By the way Sarah, Stanley should be making his way back to Aston this week.  Sorry its so late!!
Hey Gina, Hi Sarah!  I prefer the smell of bacon over the taste - never could eat much of it.  Have daily food testing projects this week and welcoming the cash.  Its for whole wheat crackers like triscuits and your only ever required to taste it.

Ive decided to up my calories.  My intial calories allowance seemed so high but now its not as bad at 1900 and Im usually at 1200 so this should be interesting.  I'll be happy with in between as well but now with the addition of daily walks, Im plan to work down to the lower cal as my size drops further.

Keeping cooked cauliflower and brocolli in the fridge to extend the TV dinners and realizing theyre low on meat so will need to focus on upping protein as well.
OOO thats great news GIna Ill let her know.  Sorry work has been crazy for you.  I second the holiday Idea.  Can I come too LOL!!!!  Hoping for a family vacation after tax season is over.
Nope not turkey bacon and theres not much left as I jusr burned it cause I was Typing
Ohio: Wanna swap???  (LOL)

Sarah: I hope I've given enough information.  Also I have sent a book for Aston, Parker & Robyn to enjoy (Dont tell her becuase I would like it to be a surprise) - so make sure that the school gives it to Ashton to bring home and does not keep it!!!!!  Or I will seriously go over and kick some a$$!!

Jayne: Well Done!!  You really seem to be doing great with the walking!!!
