Clean Eating Challenge

Ok, there seems to be a mysterious condition going around that is causing sabotage to our eating. I know I'm not alone here when I admit that my eating this past little while leaves a lot to be desired, causing slight weight gain after such hard work to lose it.

I also know, that I am the same person who was practically flawless in my eating for like almost 90 days straight, so I know I can get ahold of this - who's with me?? 

There is no deadline for sign-ups, anyone can join at any time!!

All you have to do is check in once a week (at least) & let us know how you're doing. If/when you "cheat", simply let us know & I will restart your start date.

A cheat is defined as whatever a cheat would mean to you personally, whether it be going over your calories, bingeing, not eating enough, too many treats, etc. We all know when we've cheated, so just be honest with yourself

Let's be honest with each other & keep each other eating clean k? The PRIZE to the winner? Well that's easy - weight loss!!!!!!!!! (or maintenance for those at that stage!) Let's do this!

If you lose your mind & cheat, just let me know. Then you can re-start from the next day. I'll simply unbold your name, along with updating your new start date.

After being clean for a week after a re-start, I'll re-bold your name. So you always have a chance to feel like you are succeeding. 

Also, if you just don't feel like you want to partake in the challenge anymore, can you let me know so I can remove your name from the list? Thanks!!

Anyone not checking in for one week (December 25 - December 31) will be removed from the challenge.

Day 7 and I  can't believe I have lasted this long this is great and I feel good too!!!

angelvk I go to school full time and a new fav of mine is the light n fit smoothies they are only 60 cal. fat free and 6 grams of sugar . It's just enough of a boost to get me through till my next meal.

I weighed in today and I weighed in at 227.5 that is the whole 8 I gained last week before I started this challenge plus 1 whole extra pound WOOHOO !
I'm still here. Doing pretty good. Staying in my calorie allowance.
I know it is a little late in the game, but I can I join in? I could definately use the motivation!
Oh you all will be so proud of me!! I packed all my meals (including milk & cereal), put the cold stuff in the plug in cooler & off we went on our trip. I had all my meals and nothing else!!!

My hubby even ordered pizza after our show & I had to hold it & pass him each piece (cuz he was driving). I was sooooooo tempted, but instead, I had thought ahead & brought an extra energy bar & had 1/2 of that instead. And when he was done eating, I quickly tried to fall asleep. I had NO PIZZA!!!  Yay!

He has to lose a bunch of weight too & is supposed to start today. I told him when I get to goal, I'm gonna order pizza and eat it beside him when he's doing cardio! lol!

Anyway, I think this is day 10 or something, yay for me!!!

mabear- ya, I totally think of all of you too when I want to reach for something & then I think, sheesh, I don't wanna write that I did bad, no way! Keep it up!! Congrats on day 7!!! & taking off the extra weight you gained and then some!!! Tha't s sooo awesome!!!!

cerhiunnhn- trying to get enough cals can be a challenge too some days. Especially busy days when the time flies by & you have missed a meal or two, way to go though!!

asbowen- I'll reset you, keep on going!!

pharmspice- eat some fruit or something if you get hungry, it's ok. Or if it's late anyway, go to bed, that always helps me! lol!

lysistrata- those darn judges! Don't they know you're tyrign to eat clean? lol!!!

angelvk630 - try some frozen dinners. A lot of the Lean Cuisine ones aren't that bad in sodium.

Oh I so badly want to go to applebees but I have enough willpower inside of me not to! BAH.  Someone send me quick and easy recipes that do NOT contain onions (even the smallest ones, onion powder is fine), whole peppers, tomatos, cooked fruits, or anything slimey.  Ya?  I'm SUCH a pickey eater I drive myself insane.  I <3 chicken!

Hungry!!!!!  But still clean.  Tommorrow is weigh in so I will let you know if the week of clean eating has helped.  We weigh in every three weeks and after tommorrow there is only three weeks to the end.  I will know better tommorrow if I have a shot at first, second or third.... 
Just checking in to let you all know that I am still going strong!!!

I even had a large glass of wine last night and a dreyer's frozen fruit bar and still had a 600 Kcal defecit! Woohoo!!
Still going strong!! Hoping to be strong for the 2 birthday parties coming up this weekend! 
Day 10 - Done!!! Still clean!!! It's kinda late, but I still have my treat to have today - a Skinny Cow Chocolate Ice Cream SAndwich, yumbo!!! I chose to have soup today and may pay for the high sodium tomorrow with a little increase, but I hope not. I'll be drinking water till I go to sleep!

I think I have to call today a cheat.  I had a very exciting job interview (sorta) and my husband took me out to dinner.  I got a vegetarian burrito and ate about 1/3 of it ... this thing was ENORMOUS!  And swimming in cheese and the veggies were saturated with oil.  It was very tasty, but I think it probably put me over my 30% fat limit.  And I didn't meet my 40g of fiber.  So ... I have to start over.  But I still feel really good about 9 days straight meeting my goals, and the one day I blew it wasn't really the worst I could have done.  So I'm keeping my head, and my resolve, high!  Bring on the rest of May!
Day#10 done and clean as a whistle!!  Just finished planning tomorrow, going to finish up my tea, and hit the hay!!  Have a good night, everyone  :)

Still clean and feeling great!  I just wanted to say wow, Dee!  I just looked over your profile pictures again, and you are looking fantastic!  It is apparent that your body likes what you are doing. :)
Surprisingly enough I'm still Ok.  I'm a stress person and I almost caved last night.  I ate some pecans and drank a diet coke and brushed my teeth.  Starting monday, always monday, I'm going to step up my clean eating challenge a little.  Hope I do well.

Unfortunately my lean cuisines are the problem. I have had those and a salad for lunch EVERY day for the past few months. I have had just about every one that they make atleast 10 times....

Lost 6.6 lbs.  at the weigh in this morning and won the gift card!!!  This has so helped me--thanks for starting this!!!  Now I have to buckle down the next three weeks big time.  I have been behind this whole competition  which started in January, I have a shot to place but probably not at first place.  I have to lose 4.1 lbs to get anything (everyone gets something if you lose 10 lbs; like a gift card of $20)  and more like 8 lbs. to possibly win some cash.   I have to stay committed to this clean eating.....
The day's going great so far, but it seems today as I'm reading people writing about food, that I want some food! I'm gonna strap on my running shoes & saddle up the dog & go for a run to take my mind off of eating. THen I can come home & eat my Stouffer's BBQ Chicken Pizza! yum, love those!

susankaye- thanks girl! I appreciate it! I"m loving my new body but I have a feeling now that my loss is gonna slow a bit. I'm not gonna change anything till it stops completely, then I can look at upping cals or something.

jjlewis305- phew, close one, way to not cave! What are you gonna do to step it up next weeK?

angelvk630 - I have a frozen dinner every day as one of my meals too, and it's workin for me. A full 3 cup salad each day is also a meal, with a good fiber cereal for breakfast & then the 4th meal is always a toss up. You can eat LCs and lose weight. Just gotta watch the sodium in the other foods, as the LCs can be 7-800 ish.

lrschwarze - wow girl! you rock!!! 6.6lbs is super duper! I'm glad the challenge has helped, you're doing so great. I hope you can win some cashola at the end too. You can do a lot in 3 weeks. But you should for sure get to 10 & win a gift card. KEep it up!
