130/120 Club?
I'm looking for a 130/120 club, but I don't see any topics started.

I need a bit of motivation though. I really am proud i've reached 135 and I never want to see anyting near 140 again. Tomorrow night is my dad's 60th birthday. He's not one to celebrate his birthday but 60 is a BIG year for him and all of our cousins from sweden and around the world are going to come for this occasion. We're going to this really nice expencive persian restaraunt for his birthday dinner (he's persian). I LOVE persian and armenian food. I rarely get to have it, especially since i moved away for college. SO I really want to enjoy some of it! Not to mention the desserts that perisans eat are the best in the world! And I only get to have them two or three times a year. WHat should i do? I dont want to totally binge, i feel thats what I will do. I'm scaredi 'm going to talk myself into eating as much as I can because i know I wont be able to have that type of food again in a long time!
ANY advice would be so helpful. I dont want to see the scale go back up. Also, I have no time to go to the gym tomorow because I'm working in the morning and i've got a lot to do before his birthday party. Thanks for any and all motivation!
Hey knarik, it is a dilemma. So much wonderful food, but remember that the evening is also about the gathering of your extended family and that gives you something else to focus on.
First don't go to dinner starving, then have what you want , but savor it. Try having just two or three bites of everything and in between bites have a extended conversation with your cousins, etc. Wear something with a belt , thats always a gentle reminder of your stopping point. And at an expensive place they may serve you a portion size that you request. Ask for the remainder of the meal in a bag and say you just want to have it when you're back at college. You may still go way over in cals for the meal but plan on extra activities to burn some off the following day.
Remember nothing tastes as good as 135 feels. That's where I'm at now and like you I don't want to be near 140 again. Let us know how it goes! You might come up with something better than these few ideas.

thank you so much! I need to keep telling myself that. I'm at 135 today! I dont want to be 138 when i wake up after that meal tomorrow. I DONT. I wont. I want to maintain 135 today and lose tomorrow. i feel great and I dont want to feel like crap tomorrow moning. :)
hey, im def joining this club! im 5'9'' i can go btwn 135-140 in like, 2 days. i do a varsity sport in college and i have got to get back down to my racing weight (130 or under, pref under) in the next month! i cant seem to break 134, i havent been under in a year! right now im 135 and i have a race this weekend so im just trying to get to 131-132 by saturday, no fun! i really have found that, after trying every crash diet out there, the eating every 3hrs thing(and making sure you are getting good protein) is what got me from 140 to 135 last month, and it wasnt depressing and binge-inducing as much as the other diets. any more advice on how to lose those last couple pounds this week without starving and being crazy?
I seem to be stuck at 129lbs. I can't seem to get to 125lbs without starving myself which I won't do. ARGH!!
I would love to join - I'm 5-10 and currently 147 (down from a high of almost 215). The problem is I would like to be 130, which many people initially say is far too low. However, I was under the supervison of a personal trainer and nutritionist for a while and both agreed (somewhat grudgingly) that I have an extremely small frame (verified by my primary Dr.) After losing so much weight I've "plateaued" and can't seem to get over that hump. I was also diagnosed with Meniere's disease several months ago, so I can't engage in any strong exercise like I used to (or even set foot in a gym), which initially took off a lot of the weight. I try and do pilates at home, but it's very, very difficult with this disease. I am so frustrated! Does anyone out there have advice? Everyone says I should be happy where I am, but anyone who has lost weight knows it's all or nothing. I'm 23 and never wore a bathing suit in public - I'm trying for this to be the lucky year!

I had a lot of inflamation and edema primarily in my abdomen, although I can tell pretty much everywhere. So even though I know it is mostly water-I'll take it!

So, I guess this is where I start plateauing. I haven't had any real loss (or gain) in going on two weeks. *Sigh* I wasn't looking forward to this. But then whoever does?

BOO! But I went on vacation to Europe last week where everything is high fat and delicious, so I am actually very happy to have only gained three pounds. I generally bounce around between a 4 pound spectrum anyway, so this weight is not out of wack. Still, though, it was SO GOOD to eat fresh vegetables again when I got back yesterday! Eastern Europe isn't so hot on salads! Hee hee.

"lost" 0.5lb. too bad this sunday the scale said 126! how exciting that was.
*I'm changing my goal because I didn't even weigh 120 in high school, so thats probably unrealistic. I'd be perfectly happy anywhere between 120-125.

Hello! I'm new here...I'm 5'7" 150 bf% 30%.
I would like to get back down into the 120's.. like someone else said 129 is probably my magic number lol.. just need the 120something.
I pretty much just want to get healthy/tone up though. I used to dance so I feel so out of shape. I would like my bf % to go to about 20.
Ive been working out about 1.5 hrs per day at the gyms. 45 min cardio and 45 min weights abs etc. having a shake after (nonfat yogurt, fat burner, protein, banana) and then eating around 7. thats it.
im taking a new approach. im going to eat about 5 times a day. 200-400 "meals/snacks" and going to more goup fitness classes. I realized i need more aerobics. tonight.. KICKBOXING! im excited. luckily i actually like exercise and healthy foods... but its just hard to lose the weight.

SO, i managed to eat alot at my dads birthday :(. I did really well on Saturday. Did extremely well with my cals (although no workout bcause i've been extremely busy with work and other social events). I overate a lot on wednesday. But i cannot let this throw me down. the scale has been GOOD.

I haven't posted in this thread yet because I've been feeling guilty about not tracking my calories for the past 3 months, and gaining back some of the weight I had lost. (I'm 5' 3.5" and started here at 139 lbs, made it to 127 for my brother's wedding and have been sitting at 132 since Christmas).
Anyway, I started counting again a week ago and just today I crossed that all-important line... 129 lbs! I wonder if maybe my scale knew I needed a little encouragement to kickstart the diet back into gear.

This is the biggest lost I've ever had... I don't expect it to last but it is very encouraging!
I am NOT looking forward to tomorrows weigh-in! I've been so bad since Friday, today I'm going to be good. I was at a music fest this weekend and all I did was drink beer and eat things I NEVER eat, like hot dogs, nachos, tons of cookies and doritos. It's so weird because it makes me feel sick and weak and gross, but yet, once I start eating like that it's hard to get back into the swing of eating right, even though it makes me feel so much better.
