TODAY WEIGHT: 166
GOAL WEIGHT for next payday (7-20): 160
puppykisses, my daughter in law had my wonderful grand daughter on my 40th birthday. I don't think you are too harsh. What I did was: the son and girl friend (not married at the time) dated through highschool. In college I for 3mo I notice she was putting on weight (freshman 15) Well she was 18 and my son. In Dec 97 my son tells me they find out sue is 6mo. preg. she thought it was her thyroid. Her family is alittle weird to say the least and not very supportive of their chilcren. Well anyways I supported sue and son during this time, they still lived in their own homes clear up till the baby was born. After the baby was born you could not get my son away from that baby. They stayed one night my house and one night her parents and this is no way to live. So the big kids and baby ended up living with us for 2 yrs while they finish college. They got married when the baby turned 2yrs. old. I didn't want them to compound the damage of marriage just because she was pregnant. I quit work for 2 yrs to take care of the baby and she is 10yrs old now and we have a great time together. It is their only child since sue wasn't suppose to beable to have any kids to begin with. They are very successful and everything turned out. Hope your situation turns out to be a blessing.
Gypsierose, what a wonderful story about your son and daughter-in-law. My brother and his girlfriend got pregnant in college, were married and turned 20 by the time their son was born...this was in 1989. My brother is now a doctor and my sis is a teacher and plus they have another son. My nephew who would have been 19 died in 1999, the loss is enormous but the memories of his short life are wonderful. They are still married even with going to med school all the residency stuff and the loss of a child. I am so proud of them. On top of that my 20 year old daughter went to live with them this winter. They have not been admitted into the phsyc center...yet.
I am looking forward to the birth of my grandson. DD wants me to be with her but bio-mom will also be there also so I have to really say some prayers to get that extra help I am going to need. It is not about me *repeat*
I have no idea what is going to happen when I weigh tomorrow. I only got one good workout in so far. I worked again last night at Famous Footwear and I got a call today to go in tonight. I was going to workout tonight and even last night.
My mom was/is the best mom ever, and she came from an incrediblty abusive house. She very well could have repeated the cycle and sent us out into the world the same way she was treated, but she chose not to. SHe raised all three of us alone after my dad and she split up (he's an abusive butthole who stopped seeing us when I was 9, a year after the divorce. I didn;t see him again until my sister's wedding when I was almost 26). THANK GOD> If I ever have kids and if I manage to do HALF as good a job as she did, my kids will be just fine.

Puppymom, will add you to my prays, ( yes, it's not bout us, but it sure effects us) Having the other mom there would be trying I'm sure. hugs. Sorry to hear about nephew, I'm sure they are enjoying your daughter being there. My DIL is a teacher to and son is a hospital admin. Strange how your family is in the same field. Good luck
Olivia, we could have had the same dad from the story. My mom is great too. He was an abusive jerk. I made us all stronger. Have a good day all.
IT"S Friday ! 3 day weekend - I'm going to Knoxville to vist family. Hope you all have fun.
Yes, Gypsierose that would be great. I will do the same. Is it ok Olivia if I add you also?
My mom is pretty awesome also. My dad was not such a good dad but he sure has made up for it with my brother and I and with his grandchildren. He no longer drinks and he is very good to my mom. They were pillars for me and the kids when I divorced, then very supportive when I remarried. My dad was the first person to buy a present for the new baby and has already bought 2 cases of diapers. DD has been his granddaughter for 7 years and both my parents treated both the girls like they were born into our family. Some poopy dads do turn around. Anyway it is great to be a grown-up (whatever that means) and have your mom as your best-friend!
I am down 0.5 to 129.4. I will take it since I have been eating kind of naughty and only exercised on Monday....exercising tomorrow though...big time.
Olivia great job. Did you get your new bike yet?
I am feeling good today. had the cals and so splurged with J on Chinese since he finally felt hungry enough after surgery to really eat-eat. I did, however, swap my fried rice for an extra side of broccoli and mushrooms. : D
YES, the bike came super fast. I ordered it last Wed, and it was on my porch when I got home from the knee doctor on MONDAY> I put it together all by myself with no help from J, so GO ME!!! It is a little squeaky, but I hope I just have to break it in.... ?
Be good this holiday weekend, ladies!
156 today
working tonight and tomorrow night
took all my measurements today and posted to journal--have to look up the beginning measurements and compare.
DID NOT break through 154 ARRGGHH but I will in september...I dont see 160 anymore except while dressed sometimes.
Progress is slow but that is ok.
Way to break through 130 puppykisses! I'm green w envy but inspired! I've also been getting a bunch of catalogs of fall clothes that are really making me want to look my best. I can't afford anything in them, of course, but it does make me want a few new (nice) things. I'd like to hit a few upscale consignment shops but I refuse until I get under 130!
We're all gorgeous.
Well--- I need both arms and both legs to enjoy what I am after------------but I will give up this belly....
I do love to lift free weights to music. Doing it today... 15 min so far but decided to open up the house, crank up the stereo and climb on the bike on the porch (stationary) and ride to another place...............
See you in a bit............
I do that too, Z -- ride to somewhere in my mind while on the bike..... It's amazing how powerful the imagination can be......

Rode bike 47.5 min Polar 6 says: 400 cal burned; Max hr 165 avg hr 147 31.5 min in zone
Oh Olivia, I know those down days but they do go away; you just have to push them away with all your strength.....you have been working out, you can do it.![]()
Zena and Olivia I so want to get my own bike. I use the recombinant at the gym so I can read a book or magazine. It just does not seem so horrible then. I like to listen to podcasts rather then music because I concentrate on that, just like reading. With music I can still concentrate on the stupid machine that is trying to hurt me. I have a treadmill but I walked for 5 minutes yesterday but I was just too darn tired to stand up. Oh well, it was a holiday yesterday.
