so i'm 23 and my cw is 257 and i'd like to lose 100+ lbs, would anyone like to go on this journey with me?  we could weigh in weekly and like keep each other in line?

AZMAMI-We weight in at the beginning and then again in 3 months when it ends. They give us a site to keep track of our food, activities, and our weight if we want to use it. I have a bad habit of weighting myself everytime I use the bathroom at home, or when I see a scale. It has gotten so bad that my bf took the batteries out of the scale and only lets me use it once a week!
Don't feel bad about your weight gain. Last week I was 245 and on Monday I was 247!!! As of today, I am still there, so my team went down in our competition too because of me!!!! (There are scales at work that I use so my bf doesn't know that I can still weight myself everyday...LOL)

Hey everyone, hey Kerri!  We're here, I've just been busy as a bee getting ready for the holiday.  I had a huge cookout I was planning for the fourth.  It turned out really great.  I hope everyone had a safe and happy fourth.  Drink your water and flush out all the bad stuff you ate (and drank) this weekend!

Remember, don't feel too bad about any little cheats you had over the holiday, we all have our moments, it's tough w/ alot of ppl around and not alot of healthy choices... just get back on the "horse" and like Courtney said, drink lots of H2O to get out the bad stuff! :)

Can I join too? I have been trying to diet and exercise for 6 months now and I have only lost like 30lbs due to lack of motivation. I feel like I have gotten no where. Help me?

 

hey girl, 30 lbs in 6 months is a HUGE accomplishment.  if you keep it up that's 60 lbs. in one years time which is right on track.  the more the merrier.  post your stats like your current weight and your goal weight.  depending on how active you are i would say for 2 lb a week weight loss i'd keep it at no more than 1650 calories.  1200 is the lowest you should go.  best of luck.

Sorry for the long absence everyone! I was out of town being a nature bug... OMG... I had the Best holiday weekend ever!!!! My boyfriend and I went camping in Bodega Bay, Ca with some friends!!! The stuff we ate wasn't too bad and I stuck with my portion control. I drank too much though, so i know i went over my calorie count. Damn that alcohol! Innocent I was able to get some excercise in... we went walking on the beach like everyday! Hiking up hills of sand is SOoo HARD!!!! Laughing LOL.... I hope everyone else had a blast! Congrats on your successful cookout Courtney!

You guys remeber I was taking place in the workplace biggest loser? Well I took 9th place. hehe! I was just happy to be in the top 10. lol! I gained weight the last 2wks of the competition which is something I had never done. I don't know what it was but that's the way it goes I guess. I was on vacation since the 3rd so no I was not dieting or excercising.. I took a break from everything & in all my splurging I gained 1.2lbs. BOOO!!! haha.. This morning I did my Biggest Loser workouts & am happy to report that i'm back on track with healthy eating & lifestyle. Good luck to you all, it's great to be back.. Hope to hear from you all soon.

hey everybody, i'm back!  i had a great birthday.  i live in nashville and my bf surprised me with a trip to Harrahs Metropolis in Illinois we had SUCH a good time.  i need to get back on track though.  i've fallen off the water wagon over the last week or so and i can tell that i feel more sluggish.  so welcome to all the newbies, any of the oldies still out there, if so are ya'll still losing?

Hey my name is Rachel, and I'm 23. I hit my heaviest Christmas of 2006 at 300 pounds. After that I lost 60, then gained 20, and my current weight now is 293. What day are we weighing in?? I'm happy to get on board with people in my age group that have similar goals as myself. I'm excited to get down to 220, then 180, then goal weight of 150. I work out at Curves minimum 3 times a week, also I'll be getting rid of the car soon, so I'll have a bit more walking to do. I already walk to work everyday, and walk to the gym most days. I try and do about 1200-1600 cal diet, and always at least 8 glasses of water a day. My biggest struggle is days when I'm not working. On work days, I have NO problem sticking to my diet, but when I'm not working, and especially when my boyfriend isn't working either, I'm bad. So yeah, thats another goal. When I have a bit more time, I'm gonna read through more of the posts. Nice to meet you all....."Let's get down to Bidness!!!"
Hey guys! I have not posted in forever, summer started and I forgot about my weight loss goals, but now that I have had my "vacation", time to get back into it! My weight has fulcuated between 256 and 253 since mid-June. I weighted in today at 252.4, and hope to keep going down. I started counting cals again and am going to make my way back to the gym. Nothing crazy I'm doing, just getting back to the fundamentals lol. My small goal for the week is to make it to an even 251.00 by next wednesday. Wish me luck! And good luck to all of you who are just starting, finding you way back, or losing weight! It all comes from within, don't lose your focus! This is not only for looks, but for health!!

hey rachel, welcome! you may want to try upping your water intake, somewhere on this thread is a link to a calculator that tells you how much water you should drink based on your weight.  the 8 glasses of water equals 64 oz. and that's for an "average" sized person, heavier people need more.  when i used the calculator it figured i needed 3 liters a day just to keep my hydrated, that's equal to about three large mcdonalds cups full.  also, people weigh in on different days but when we started i think i threw out saturday as a weigh in day but it really doesnt matter you can post about it whatever day works best for you.

stardust i'm glad your back on board with us!  2 lbs. should be a breeze when you're just starting back...i'll keep my fingers crossed though!

Rachel, I'm in the same boat as you. When I'm at work I can stick to my diet, but when I'm at home or on the weekends, I eat everything in sight and forget about calories and portions and my water in take!!! My bf likes to eat whatever because he isn't dieting so when I see him eat "junk" food, I have to find some "junk" food! GGGRRRRR! Dang Men! LOL
Like I keep telling myself, dieting is a live style change and you have to do it slowly. You can't change everything at once. So I just need to work harder at what I eat on the weekends.

I weighted in this morning and I was 244.4! 21 pounds down and still going!Smile
My official weight in for my tangerine (weight loss program) at work is on Tuesday so I have to try and use all my will power and not eat everything in sight this weekend! Currently I have earned $86 and I could use that very hard earned money! Man, earning money this way is WAY HARDER then getting up and going to work every day...LOL

ok... im reaaaally gunna do this now.... i have to just smack myself anytime the temptation to be naughty strikes! Ive had a bit too much fun the last month, the scale has not budged, and a swear my clothers are tighter... but i am going to get back to it! Its not like i cant eat anything i want, i just have to watch the portions.... hard when the bf says "oh lets go to our fav chinese buffet" Cry where even the veggies are coated in oil.

But back to it! Bring on the water and skinless chicken! *throws scale in lake... it lies anyways*

man kerri i wish i was being paid to lose weight!  just the seeming humiliation of weighing in with coworkers would shame me into to doing everything i could!  i thought i was commited enough to start the exercise portion of losing weight and being healthy but i took one ab class last week and haven't been back since!  what are some things ya'll are doing as far as exercise?

hi i'm glad you found us! your birthday is 21 weeks away so you'll need to lose about 2 lbs. a week to meet your goal.  this is very doable and is a healthy goal.  have you started counting your calories yet?  if so, how many are you eating?

anyone weigh in this week yet, if so...good or bad?
