Hey everyone.  Thanks for making the transition over here.  We have to stick together and stay strong.  Bathing suit season and smoldering hot temps are on their way and we wanna look even steamier.  I encourage everyone to still post their weight loss when they weigh in but I'm not going to make it a challenge or a goal for us.  We just want to congratulate your on your triumphant success.  Good luck!

Hey ya'll! I around, just not really, around. If that makes any sense.

Found out that I am about 6 weeks pregnant! We are all so excited, but I am pretty tired. Plan to get back in to walking, preferrably daily, once I can get everything a bit under control. Lots of moodiness, heartburn, serious lack of appetite & energy is pretty much non existent. I've lost 4 pounds this week. Mostly from not eating much. I force myself to eat something, but it really sux to have NO appetite. Cravings would be nice, at least I would want to eat! It will ease up tho & now that we have the air conditioners put in, I can walk in the house & not pass out from a heat stroke!!

Pray you all are having a wonderful weekend & am SO PROUD of everyone's amazing success! Ya'll ROCK!!

Congratulations realitymommy!! :)

Good job on the spinning class jericho...I'm not sure I could have done it. It's always good to have an extra incentive to get us on track...extra special when it's your child. :) I know what you mean about emotional eating too...it's hard to get it under control. I even wrote about it in my journal.

Good job everyone on your losses. I finally talked my scale into giving me a pound less last week. We'll see what it says tomorrow!

So far I've lost 17.1 pounds since March. I guess that's about right where I should be for healthy loss.

Wow...got on the scale this morning and it read 246.6. That's almost two pounds difference! Whoa...I like it. Laughing

Started out at 266 on March 12th of this year, which brings my total loss to 19.4 pounds.

  Hello all ~

Been out for a weekend trip away but I'm back now. I didn't count calories because it was almost impossible to but I did keep my head on my shoulders for the most part and still enjoyed myself! I lost 1 lb this week (231 now), though, for which I'm thankful. I'm in a bit of a plateau slump but I'm going to adjust a few things here and there to see what happens.

Congratulations on the new baby, btw!!!

Another post real quick ... supernan...about your foot condition.

A few years ago I worked as a CNA in a hospital and nursing home and after a few months my feet were just injured, basically. It got so bad that my feet, one a little worse than the other, would basically stiffen up while sleeping so that I couldn't roll them on the floor when stepping. They were like flat, stiff, manican (sp?) feet and I would just hobble about in extreme pain trying to get dressed. They would loosen up after a good 10 minutes of moving about but still be painful.  It was nearly a year before they both completely healed. I never had them checked out with a Dr, just suffered through it, and then mended them by rest and off my feet, massaging, etc. They're fine now .. just get sore when I'm on them most of the day, but never stiff like that. Is this what you have?

 ~ Steph

Thankyou for all the kind well wishes!

I have been having some very persistent heartburn the past couple weeks & eating TUMS like crazy. A friend told me last night to eat GRAPES & that would get rid of the heartburn. IT FRICKEN WORKED!!! I was shocked! Did ya'll know about this? Am I this behind on the times?? Anywho, thought I'd let ya'll know in case you were like me & had no idea the magic grapes had. :)

Congrats realitymommy!!! I had heartburn so bad with my last pregnancy, I've never heard of eating grapes to get rid of it. The only thing that helped me was milk, I would drink a glass of milk & it would be gone! They say a lot of heartburn means the baby will have lots of hair, it was true in my case. My daughter is now 2 yrs old and I've never cut her hair yet & it's down to the middle of her back.

Well, after almost 3 weeks of no weight loss whatsoever, I weighed in this morning and gained a pound!!! GRRR! I guess it could be worse & I am at the end of TTOM, so I will just say it is that for now!

I had never heard of the magic grapes! LOL. Hey that sounds better for the baby too. And, of course, congrats again.

I am back after a weekend certification testing with my dog [where we got a national police certification for cadaver detection]  followed by a business trip to washington d.c. - major storms there last week so the walking was kind of cut and I ate wrong and I gained about  - I was doing good the first day I walked 4 miles after work [ around GWU and down to the Lincoln Memorial and back]

Gained 2.5lbs....................sigh ............but back on track. Walked this morniing - can't walk at night - code orange ozone days and all that.

Hang in there everyone. Nobody said this would be easy and we are all in it together!

grr, gained a few pounds since saturday.

good news is i was good yesterday - am on a night shift now and had some cheese (my weakness) so i have to be extra watchful during wednesday, hope i will make it and stay on the diet, i was becoming angry at myself

I did well last week, 2 lb loss.  Swam only twice, worked 4 days.  I was out overnight one night got to motel late and had to leave very early so didn't go to dinner.  I had brought a hearty salad and I ate that.  Another night I got home after dinner and ate light when I got home, think that helped with the 2 lb loss.

stephtobea9 yes my problem is the same, horrible pain when you get up in the morning. I hurts most in the heel and into the arch.  They say it is a ingury to the connecting tissue that connects the heel and the toes.  I'm 6 months into mine and getting better.  A day with to much on my feet leaves me hurting for a few days. Today I did Walmart (whole store)than came home and did yard work for a few hours.  Hurts now.

**EDIT** Two days later & hopping on the scale a day of my regular weigh in, I see an amazing 3 pound loss! YAY for me!!! I was beginning to get so discouraged! I guess my TTOM ending did make a difference! I am so excited now! On the right road again!

:) That's always good isn't it? I know how you felt...stinks to see that gain from TTOM but always so good to see it go back down!

Hi guys. I have been so busy this week after finally getting home last sunday that I have only had time to journal and not time to post on the thread. I am still at 225, but not discouraged as my clothes are getting even looser and I know that I will stay at one weight for about 3 weeks before it seems to drop. lets hope the drop comes next week before dr. appt.( probably final appt with spinal surgeon) I will finish up phys. ther. next thurs. I will miss them up there, but will be glad to not have such a fixed schedule. I am walking every night still usually about an hour or little more in the house. my stretches and exercise for therapy take me about 25 mins more than that. I will try to get to the pool and exercise at least 3 days a week this summer for at least two solid hours. it is not hard in the pool. Those pool devices I bought at academy have worked out real well. It has dumb bells for underwater, a floatation belt for working in the deep water and some feet resistance things. I hope to continue to have 10 lbs come off per month, but realistically I am sure it will slow soon. I keep trying to ramp it up some and make sure I have the weights when I walk on arms and legs so that hopefully it will help tone up the muscles and help with the loose skin.. a big plus for me is that my chest has went down some. wish it would surprise me and just keep shrinking and shrinking. The stomach has went down some but still is very big. I do feel much better and am happy with the weight loss. I had the first pizza in 5 months on thurs. we were going to geta med, hubby and I but opted for lg. ugh. we ate the whole thing. oh well, it was good and I and he enjoyed it. we don't do that too often....... hang in there everyone lonestarpenny

hello anyone, i have not recorded my food for approx. 4 days, this is the longest that i have gone without recording my food. when i miss a day or even two, i will sit here and try to remember what i ate and record it to the best of my ability.  however i do not want to sit here and try to remember four days of bad eating. yes i have been so way off track. i kn ow there is no good excuse so i am not making any. I am just stateing the facts.. i had company since wednesday and they all just left now.  wow! wow! it has been a lonnnng weekend.  some vac.  so my question is what do you guys do when you have not record your food for days at a time or does anyone ever do that or is it just me.  HELP!!!

pancha8 - I do what you have done and record what I can remember, or I just put something like "vacation day - unknown amt" and put 0 for calories or something like that. It's in the past now so it doesn't matter as much as what you're putting down for today.

lonestar- i love how you address lots of ppl in each post. It's sweet and thoughtful :)

As for me, I was 231 last Monday morn and I started cutting my calories back a little more most days and added swimming 4x last week. I hope to swim 5x a week though. It's paid off and helped me sludge past my plateau and as of today I'm 227.

I hope you all had a nice Father's Day weekend!
